5321  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bit Blender Hacked on: April 18, 2019, 03:56:57 PM
It's very sad that you lost such an amount of money. Lately there have been so much phishing bitcoin mixer websites. Probably what i think happened is that when you first attempted to login and it did not work, It could have been phishing site that then got your details.

Another likely scenario is that your browser could be infected or having some sort of malicious extension or generally your PC is infected.

By the way, the title gave me a little bit of an adrenaline rush,  It made me think that the whole Bitblender service had been hacked
5322  Other / Meta / Re: Is it possible to remove old animated avatars? on: April 18, 2019, 08:02:48 AM
It all started with Stake.com's "hyperactive" animated avatars and i bet it will end with their avatars too.
After the disabling of uploading animated avatars by Theymos, some campaign managers like Hhampuz even went ahead to encourage members to remove the animated avatars and stick with the static ones
Avatar has been updated in OP, here's the new one we'll use from now on. Please update ASAP.

But for stake.com, it was the opposite instead  Grin

Explains where there as still loads of Stake.com animated avatars out there and i think it will only stop if the campaign stops or if Theymos just decided to disable even the current animated avatars.

As a result, I received this PM:

LOL! It's a huge loss for him, you busted him as soon as the ANN was made, so he was probably salty about It.  Grin
5324  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: cryptamixer.io phishing scam on: April 17, 2019, 01:17:48 PM
Sorry for you lost dude, 5 digits is a huge amount it's a another lesson and a big one to learn in this crypto sphere. The best thing we can do right now is to report this phishing site to Google (https://safebrowsing.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/?hl=en) so that other's won't fall for this trap.
Thanks for the phishing site reporting link for google. Just used it for reporting a couple of bitcoin mixer phishing website.
I think it much effective compared to people relying on anti phishing addons since very many people don't even use these addons.

3. Original Bitmixer confirmed stopping their service through this ANN

Hi all!
Despite the huge profit we earn, we are closing our activity. Let me explain why.

I'm bitcoin enthusiast since 2011. When we started this service I was convinced that any Bitcoin user has a natural right to privacy. I was totally wrong. Now I grasped that Bitcoin is transparent non-anonymous system by design. Blockchain is a great open book. I believe that Bitcoin will have a great future without dark market transactions. You may use Dash or Zerocoin if you want to buy some weed. Not Bitcoin.

I hope our decision will help to make Bitcoin ecosystem more clean and transparent. I hope our competitors will hear our message and will close their services too. Very soon this kind of activity will be considered as illegal in most of countries.

Cheers,
Bitmixer.IO

5327  Other / Off-topic / Re: [GUIDE]TWIENDS.COM - how to get countless followers on Twitter? on: April 17, 2019, 10:59:56 AM
Based on my experience, as long as you're not following or unfollowing aggressively, then the chance to get locked (there is no shadow ban on Twitter) is relatively small. However other factors might count such as your post habit, your retweet habit and so on. My last Twitter account was locked and impossible to recover because I write a lot about one project that I support (and it's not a part of a bounty, but it seems there's a lot of bots who report a post related to that project for unknown reason).
Agree with you, my twitter keeps getting blocked almost every month and the funny bit is that i even rarely post, retweet or follow people lately.

But from my experience of using twitter. If you want to get massive followers, you must be the kind that follows trends, must be active(but not too aggressive)
Following other people also helps unless you are too famous already  Wink
5328  Other / Meta / Random merit giveaway threads. What do you think about them? on: April 17, 2019, 10:49:29 AM
As we have already noticed from time and time again, merit giveaway threads are being opened by anyone who wishes in the beginners board.
Spending merit and helping members ranks up is not bad, and I am not against it but I think something is wrong with this kind of approach.

It's understandable if a merit source or a very reputable and active member of the community opens up such a thread like this and this because besides their allocated monthly sMerits, they do have their personal sMerits to send out too which becomes quite tedious since they have to spend off before the next allocation.

But we are now seeing random members pooping out of nowhere and claiming that they are giving away merits to Newbies and Jr Members as it is the case here and here
Funny thing is that there isn't any strict criteria on what quality of post is being looked for and i don't know why such an act is not being heavily frowned by the community.
When I look at such threads, I think the merit system is getting played in the canny way.

1. Merit Farming: Starter of the thread expects members to support him and award him more merit for starting a merit giveaway thread which is pointless in my opinion. This is nothing to do with contributing to the forum. I mean someone just has only 7 sMerit but can't even make a few clicks on different boards to look for merit worthy posts and there they are that telling newbies to post their merit worthy links in their threads.

2. A way to Meriting Alts without getting detected: Very easy to do. Culprit starts a thread with his main accounts that has a few sMerits, maybe 10 and then posts different links from his alts and boom, all alts get merit. The process of account farming goes on an on

Quick Solutions
- At least Merit give away thread starters should be merit sources or very active reputable forum members and the number of merits to be spent has to be high, not just 10-15 sMerits
- Heavily frown merit giveaway threads started by random members who have very little sMerit to giveaway. In fact the threads should be deleted as soon as possible when cited.
- Not to encourage such fake giveaways by meriting the thread starter's post. Let them suffocate, until they start thinking it's not a good idea.

What are your thoughts?

5329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How To Post Your Facebook Bounty Reports With Proper Short Links on: April 17, 2019, 09:39:43 AM
People who post such links for their bounty reports care less about the quality of this forum, and I am pretty sure they don't even visit the Beginners and Help board to see such helpful guides or any other important part of the forum. All they know about is the Alternate Cryptocurrencies Board. That's their home  Grin
5330  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: ✰ [ANN] BITMIXER RELOADED ✰ High Volume Bitcoin Mixer ✰ on: April 17, 2019, 05:47:20 AM
Is this the same team who left the project years ago or are you just using their name? If you are the same guy then why don't you use this account? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=216447

You need to explain yourself further. You can't get away with just saying "Hi guys we are back!"
It's a phishing/scam attempt, i have observed arise in the number of this bitcoin mixer related scam attempts lately.
I am going to open up a scam accusation so that this looser receives his red paint.
5331  Economy / Reputation / Re: Team member is scammer so whole project is scam? on: April 16, 2019, 10:13:03 AM
If he is part of the team then chances of it being a scammy project are very high. Heck, he could have even arranged the team himself  Grin.
It's the company's responsibility to do due diligence on their Team members and see if they don't have any past fraud related wrong doing because after all, they are about to handle people's money.

If they can't even do a simple back ground check then they don't deserve to handle investors' funds. As long as that project appears here on bitcointalk where the said member has scammed bounty hunters before or promoted scam then the project should be brought on the spotlight.
5332  Economy / Reputation / Re: Caution!: A forum USER that I think is very suspicious. on: April 16, 2019, 09:43:30 AM
He is a spammer and probable scammer. The Best thing to do is report his post to the mods
Certain times, He could also get nuked if he continued doing such
5333  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need help with getting into crypto world on: April 16, 2019, 09:36:51 AM
Hello everyone! So… I’m new to this crypto world, and in real need of some words of wisdom pls – specially if unlike me you’re more knowledgeable and experienced within the sometimes-confusing crypto scene. I need all the advice I can get!
Honestly, I’ve just started to understand cryptocurrencies and their main functions, and as exciting as they are, they also bring with them quite an element of… erm, mystery, I guess?
Quite surprising for an account that was first registered here in 2014 and was also somehow active with a certain bitchanger project until there was silence from December 29, 2015 to November 19, 2018 (3 years of silence) but then got back with love for Airdrops.
What happened? Business gone bad?
Bought account perhaps?
How could you have promoted an exchange in the past in here  and not know something a bought crypto or the different topics and guides in this forum that can help?

Anyway have a look at this
- [GUIDES] on Bitcointalk. Index thread
- [Overview] The one thread to link them all
5334  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Looking for alternative to Bitmex, WCEX.com? on: April 15, 2019, 10:45:38 PM
All I can say is don't ever make a mistake of using WCEX.
They are shady as a fuck and untrustworthy. I was there in 2017 when it was being launched. We wasted time to promote exchange through referrals but never got a single penny out of our sweat. The owner just simple went silent over their communication channels.

They just returned later on when the storm had settled down and from what i can see, looks like some people who even went ahead and later on used it have had challenges with the platform.
5335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Will DELIST BitcoinSV! on: April 15, 2019, 10:30:24 PM
This really will crash BSV as Binance isn't a small exchange. It will send a big negative message across board because a lot of people will think the delisting is the expected decimation of BSV. Anyway, to be candid I never saw any good in that fork that brought BSV. May be it's about time to rest it.
Its price is already crashing.
Shapeshift and blockchain wallet are already following suite to delist BCHSV, It serves CW right. I was getting fed up for his drama.
5336  Economy / Services / Re: [CRYPTO TRACKER] Track your portfolio & generate tax reports FREE on: April 15, 2019, 10:15:23 PM
"[CRYPTO TRACKER] Track your portfolio & generate tax reports FREE"

The title is quite misleading, the service is not entirely free.. or you could just say only portfolio tracking is free to a certain level but generating tax reports is not.
5337  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: cryptamixer.io phishing scam on: April 15, 2019, 09:58:06 PM
Damn, the eye can surely be fooled into thinking cryptamixer = cryptomixer if one is not very careful and extra alert.
That's why when i want to do a transaction, i don't do it when am fatigued or sleepy, mistakes are so easy to make in that state

BTW  cryptamixer doesn't seem to load anymore, could it have been put down?
5338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2018-2019 on: April 15, 2019, 09:51:11 PM
-snip-
It is the Son effect.
He really stepped up to his game from the very fast time Kane out of the team squad. Ever since then, He has been reliable whenever Kane is out.

My prediction will be

Juventus 2 - 0 Ajax
City 4 - 1 Spurs
Barca 3 - 0 United
Porto 2 - 2 Liverpool
5339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: April 15, 2019, 09:43:36 PM
I expect Real Madrid to win tonight, and I find the odds for Real Madrid to win @ 1.74 quite much,  both teams have nothing to fight for, Madrid could be hoping to finish second place ahead of their Madrid rivals, mathematically it's still possible for Leganes to get relegated, but I'm sure it's not going to happen.

My prediction will be 0 - 2 in favor of Real Madrid.
Sorry mate, Leganes proved so hard for Real Madrid to beat. A 1-1 draw is all they could salvage.
Looks like Leganes recent record at home against Real Madrid has not yet stopped.

Another Goal for Karim Benzema tonight, who else thinks Real Madrid need more firepower, and they should just let go off Bale?
5340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: April 15, 2019, 09:37:05 PM
So finally Arsenal got that much-needed rare away win. But they still remain in 4th place one point behind Spurs.
I think the 3rd Place and 4th spot battle will go on to the last day
