3463  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Democratic Donor Ed Buck Charged After Another Overdose on: September 22, 2019, 02:55:31 AM
It looks like the feds have taken control of this case now. I am hearing lots of chatter on the interwebs that Ed Buck has a lot of dirt on a lot of powerful people, which would explain why he has been getting away with his degeneracy for so long. Now that he is in federal jurisdiction and facing a mandatory minimum sentence of 20 years if convicted, this case could get a lot more interesting. Either that or there will be another Epstein type event. This case is going to be the thread that unravels tons of other corruption if he survives.

Wow, slow down tiger, you are drifting off a bit down your usual "men are discriminated" alley.

Fetuses are growing in women's' bodies.  It should be their choice to decide what to do with it.

Just like when you have a nasty root canal you go to a dentist to fix the problem.

Pregnancies are very taxing on women's bodies.
Not every woman wants or has the means to go through with it.

Men are bringing the sex argument not to have pregnancies.  It is simply a stupid argument.
Sex is as natural as breathing.  Everyone should have sex before marriage.

Contraceptives are not always effective.  Sometimes people have unprotected sex which leads to unwanted pregnancies.
Those are the facts.  Deal with it.

If it is their choice, then it should be a mans choice to not have any responsibility for the child if they choose not to. If one reads what you wrote carefully, you will notice there are no responses given, only a string of non-sequiturs. You are just so impressively progressive and postmodern, so postmodern in fact you don't even need a logical argument and can comfortably rest your laurels in character attacks instead. Freedom = Responsibility, this is a fact regardless of how trendy you think your opinion is captain cuck.
3465  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Where do you stand on abortion? Let's have a civil debate. on: September 22, 2019, 12:35:26 AM
That is not really realistic.  Times of stoning nonvirgins have already passed. Update your reading library.

Sex drive is a normal response of a properly functioning endocrine system.  Not having regular sex causes psychological issues, insecurities, etc.  All people should have as much sex as they can handle, IMHO.

Do you want to stop women from having vaginal sex?  Castrate all men.

It takes two to tango.

Why is it men are responsible if they have sex, but some how women are magically absolved of all responsibility of choosing to have sex with a partner they don't intend to conceive with? Do you think sewing women's pussies shut is a funny solution? Why would you joke about castrating men to prevent responsibility for the bad choices of women? Either women are equal or they aren't. Freedom and responsibility are irrevocably linked.

I think you wanted to say "the bad choices of both parents".

Sometimes contraceptives are not effective.  And not having sex is not really a solution.

What are proposing?  Regular masturbation for both sexes?

Not sure why you blame only women for the pregnancy.  Most of the time it is men who pressure young women to have sex.

Don't tell me what I meant to say. Having sex is a choice. Having sex with no intent to procreate is a choice. Having sex with some one you do not intend to have children with is a choice. Both men and women can choose to have sex or to not have sex. Only men have unwanted responsibilities resulting from sex, women can choose to abort a child, or keep it and force the man to provide for them both for at least the next 18 years. Women want all the freedom, but then want men to bear the burden of responsibility if they choose to force them to. This is not equality.

Congratulations, you managed to type 4 paragraphs while saying nothing.

Just oppose the flag and be on with your day.

I don't have time to deal with another cryptohunter.

I see. So it is ok for you to run around making unsupported allegations, but supported allegations against your own behaviors are not acceptable. I think you need to prove to me you aren't involved in a protection racket because you seem to have a large ego and air of superiority.
3468  Economy / Reputation / Re: Flag - "CryptoSparks" on: September 21, 2019, 02:38:35 PM
Perhaps I'd consider withdrawing my support after more evidence of his legitimacy has come to light.

Isn't this the exact opposite of the intended purpose of flags? I thought the evidence was supposed to be presented before supporting it, not create a conclusion and then build a narrative around it. You know, innocent until proven guilty, not your rep is toast until you can prove yourself/appease the mob.

No. The purpose of the flag system is to warn other users about potentially getting scammed. Nobody is saying anybody is "guilty" because this isn't a court of law. What we are saying is that this guy is demonstrating untrustworthy behavior and users should take caution before entrusting this person with their funds. So far he has put forward little to zero evidence that he can actually do what he is claiming to do. What he has put forward is a bunch of disjointed nonsense backed only by an outrageous ego and air of superiority.

Feel free to oppose the flag if you'd like.

You could warn others about being scammed before the flag system. The flag system was added to create some due process and a standard of evidence before accusations are lodged to stifle this exact kind of abuse.

Oh this isn't a court of law? No shit. The point is you are casting aspersions then trying to build evidence around your conclusion afterwords. You accuse, then demand he prove his innocence. That is exactly the standard of guilty until proven innocent. I should also point out the additional onerous standard of popularity contest that these accused people must cater to in addition to being forced to cater to these accusations. This is made evident by your comments about ego and an air of superiority. Who gives a fuck, is he a con artist or not?

You are all just running around forcing people to not only submit to your inquisition, but when they don't give you the proper amount of reverence you feel entitled to, then it doesn't matter what facts are presented because he refused to bend the knee and humble himself before the grand clown council.

You accuse him of having a huge ego, but this whole system is about projecting power and authority over the user base, and burning down anyone who refuses to kneel before you. This is nothing more than a protection racket that no one will speak up about because they are afraid of being targeted next.

Guys, I know its way satisfying to hunt down dirt bags, but in the process you are degrading this community to a standard of mob justice and might makes right. This atmosphere not only drives out honest users, it creates constant chaos and conflict which is a great way for scam artists to hide in by not only easily diverting attention, but making it a simple task to target honest users who are resisting corruption.

I know casting suspicion and hoping to be right is way easier than doing the research to prove it first, but this precedent of guilty until proven innocent needs to stop. This community highly values privacy, anonymity, autonomy, and decentralization, all things that are regularly stripped from users under this precedent. There are so few platforms left where there is even a chance of preserving these things. Don't let this forum be consumed by this malignant obsession with finding and punishing scammers at all costs, because they will ALWAYS be there, no matter how many you stop.

Disgusting: Late-term abortionist offers patients cuddle time with their dead babies before trashing them

Quote from:
In a truly bizarre attempt at making the abortion process more comforting for women, a late-term abortionist in Maryland is offering them the option to hold their butchered babies “after delivery,” as well as take pictures of the fetuses home with them in “remembrance” of their termination.

In a brochure entitled, “Caring for women with Kindness, Courtesy, Justice, Love & Respect for over 45 years,” Dr. LeRoy Carhart explains that women who receive late-term abortions can help quell their consciences of the horrors involved with this grotesque procedure by sentimentalizing their dead babies.

“Many patients request a remembrance of their baby to take home with them,” the flyer reads. “Once the process of healing has begun, you may want to consider a token of the precious time with (sic) you and your baby had together.”

Women who receive late-term abortions from Carhart are offered the “opportunity” to view and hold their murdered babies after delivery, take home photographs of their corpses, and even receive tiny footprint impressions to hang on their walls or refrigerators. Carhart also offers assistance to women in making cremation and funeral arrangements for their dead babies.

Cool
Sounds a lot like trauma based mind control / cement of blood rituals.

All rights are based on property rights.
Damn I think that's the most American thing I've ever read!!!!

I don't mean it with contempt. You clearly based your society on different values than the one I live in.

We would probably never be very happy in the other society Smiley

But following your reasonning I don't understand how you can be for making abortion illegal. If a child is your property and government shouldn't tell you what to do with your property, why should he forbid you from aborting it?

Property rights are the universal foundation that all less tangible rights are based upon and protected by. You seem to think that all rights being property rights means all we care about is possessions, but this is not true.  Law is code. Code only applies to real tangible and observable facts. Without that the legal system would be arbitrary. Regarding the rest of your comment I suggest you take it to a thread where it is on topic.

Again, I don't intend to say anything bad against these users but this is just an example that shows that "scambusting" is a very effective avenue to build reputation, maybe the most effective..

I am pretty sure there are much easier ways to "build" reputation:

1) do trade, use escrow - get trust (all 3 parties)
2) take smallest loans you can get, repay early - get trust
3) sell trinklets - get trust, send trust to everyone, make sure that people who buy from you will get positive trust so everyone who wants trust will buy from you.

Why do that when you can become a BitCop and steamroll scammers and legitimate users alike at no risk to yourself? All of those methods take lots of time and involve risk. I have seen BitCops shoot to the top of the most trusted list in less than a year.
3480  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Jussie Smollett now ‘classified as a suspect’ for filing false police report. on: September 19, 2019, 09:53:16 PM
Jussie Smollet just had all charges dropped. Some one just turned states evidence. Bigger fish are about to fry.
He has the intelligence of a monkey. Go back and look at his story and remember that he actually thought others would believe him.

I cannot imagine him having information that could possibly be useful and if he does, I cannot imagine him being able to document the information so that it would actually be useful (no sane prosecutor is going to base their case on his word).

My suspicion is Michelle Obama got involved.

Exactly, he has the intelligence and malleability of a brain dead person making him the perfect political puppet to take huge personal risks to sell this narrative. Lets not forget that Kamala Harris introduced her "anti-lynching" bill the week that this happened. There are also people suggesting that Harris and Smollett are related, among other shady activities and personalities involved. I would speculate that they probably have some form of documentation to back up the complicity of these other higher level individuals along with any states evidence testimony he has/will give. Besides the local charges, just based on the charges of terrorist threats alone he could go away for a VERY long time. That kind of time has a way of making people very cooperative.
