What is lingering unresolved exactly?

According to your thread, your question.

I am not removing or editing my question from my thread.

Even though you got an answer?

How much more resolution would you like?

You to do the right thing I suppose. But I know that you never will because your ego won't let you. That's what's entertaining about the whole thing, and why you are consistently the downfall of yourself. You demonstrate an utter lack of humility. There's got to be an ICD-9 code for that kind of behavior.

I wasn't aware we are supposed to go back and revise post history on command upon the first complaint of anal inflammation. You and your fellow clown car inhabitants are welcome to your opinions on what the "right thing" is. I am not obligated to share it.

BTW, ICD-9, what is this 1998? I found your ICD designation in the current standard - ICD-10: N52.9.

It is pretty obvious you are willing to attribute whatever motives you like to me regardless of what I say. Again, I posed a question, I didn't make a statement. Now asking a question you don't approve of is not allowed? Perhaps you would like to go full circle on that subject?

What is this - >  ?

OK, well you've been provided with the answer to your question, and you still leave it lingering like it is unresolved. I know the plan is to besmirch Flying Hellfish but you're really just doing it to yourself.

Besmirch? What are you a Victorian house maid chaperoning your charge? What is lingering unresolved exactly? I am not removing or editing my question from my thread. How much more resolution would you like?

What does FH deleting his own thread, as anybody can delete their own thread, have to do with his "moderator powers"?

Because regular users see this when they press the delete button on the thread OP in Politics & Society.

https://i.imgur.com/cLkSvcz.png

Regular users can not just make their thread disappear, even if it is self moderated. They could perhaps manually delete everything then leave a basically empty op, but that is not what happened, the thread is gone completely.

I've never tried to delete a thread from P&S, so I will happily admit I didn't know that. However, FH said he didn't delete the thread, yet your post still insinuates that he did. You were corrected and you didn't change your statement. What's worse is it is open to interpretation that he deleted somebody else's thread because you didn't state it he opened it.

It's pretty obvious what your end goal is, and I still think its lame, which is why I'm glad to have opened this REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE thread to give him a chance to explain himself and counter your misinformation.

It is pretty obvious you are willing to attribute whatever motives you like to me regardless of what I say. Again, I posed a question, I didn't make a statement. Now asking a question you don't approve of is not allowed? Perhaps you would like to go full circle on that subject?

Yes, what would a deleted thread have to do with moderator powers, or any of the other listed abuses of moderator powers in the thread have to do with moderation?

You didn't mention that FH was the author of the thread in question. Since its something that can be done by anyone who creates their own thread in P&S, deletion of the thread clearly has nothing to do with FH's moderator powers.

Thanks for admitting this thread is all about retribution against me and has nothing to so with the OP.

LOL. When did I say any of that? I just thought it was lame that you didn't mention the fact that it was FH's own thread in question. I still do.

And here we are full circle.

Just because you are allowed to do it doesn't mean it does not reflect poorly on you. Thanks everyone for helping me draw more attention to these issues. Much appreciated.

This still has nothing to do with the op. Also I am not a moderator, and the OP is in regards to selective enforcement of moderator powers.

So what does FH's decision to delete his thread ? have to do with his ability to act as a moderator? Nothing. Like most things you complain about, its nothing stacked on top of nothing, with an extra side heap of nothing. You just felt like flinging some shit in his direction from the comfort of your locked thread (about censorship, lol). So don't be surprised when others do the same to you.

Seems like the only people who have problems with FH are TS and OG. Everyone else seems to think he is doing a fine enough job. Oh, except for the occasional self-imploding lunatics like bitunlocker, I suppose.

Yes, what would a deleted thread have to do with moderator powers, or any of the other listed abuses of moderator powers in the thread have to do with moderation? Clearly nothing because you declare is as such. Thanks for admitting this thread is all about retribution against me and has nothing to so with the OP. Don't forget your clown horn little boy.

This is a thread about Flying Hellfish, and my thread regarding him here. None of what you are raving about is on topic.

Says right in the title - SELECTIVE ENFORCEMENT.   Why are you complaining about something you do regularly?

Either feedback should be based on personal issues, or it shouldn't.    Choose one.

This still has nothing to do with the op. Also I am not a moderator, and the OP is in regards to selective enforcement of moderator powers. Your ranting and raving is 100% off topic.
3688  Other / Meta / Re: REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE: FLYING HELLFISH - SELECTIVE ENFORCEMENT AND CENSORSHIP on: August 25, 2019, 01:02:35 AM
Remind me again, what does any of this have to do with the topic?

Sigh.   Get a notepad or something...

You are selectively enforcing the feedback guidelines.  If you don't like someone, you'll complain about their abuse of the feedback system.

But you are free to use feedback as a personal forum.

Stop being a hypocrite and practice what you preach bozo.

Since the OP decided he wanted to end the conversation in the original thread, I decided I would open up an alternative to allow continued free discussion.

Take a look at this revolting use of children in a callous attempt at manipulating people into giving up their rights and taking the rights of others for the empty promise of safety.

LOL.  The truth hurts.  As I previously stated, he exists to serve a role, and that role isn't being a good moderator.

People are going to start to wonder if your role is a to spread baseless conspiracy theories against theymos!

Ironically in my "mod interview" thread I don't recall any discussion about my political beliefs, it's almost as if the important thing was my ability to enforce the rules vs my political affiliation.  Digiran did try to bring in my Anti-theist beliefs into the thread but got smacked back like the retard troll he was, immediately.

You and TS should try to look beyond your blind rage against anything not HARD RIGHT.

Since the hard left trolls hate me as much as the hard right trolls do and since I'm still a mod that is left alone, then I assume on the right course.  When I am informed rationally by someone who actually matters I can and will address as needed.

Except I don't run away from discussions with you. If I hated everything that doesn't agree with my "hard right" (lol) views why would I even talk to people who disagreed with me? I don't hate you, I just think you are irrational, have bad ideas which I can demonstrably explain why they are bad, and you abuse your authority to target those that don't agree with you. In the end no matter how much you claim I hate you, you still have the mod buttons and all I have are words. I am just here to remind you that if you keep treating it like a toy it could get taken away.

You can all have your little circus show, if it means it helps keep FlyingHellfish in check so people can have an open discussion in one of the very few open forums left to do so, its A-OK with me.

Give Theymos permission to confirm or deny that message is legitimate. Of course you won't because you know it proves you are a liar. Of course your own contradictory words prove you lied anyway.

Where is the lie?   I have never been abusive.  Show us evidence, idiot...

Here is the evidence. Man that was hard.
3694  Other / Meta / Re: REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE: FLYING HELLFISH - SELECTIVE ENFORCEMENT AND CENSORSHIP on: August 24, 2019, 01:02:22 PM
Who said I introduced anything new to the marketplace? Oh right you. You know what I change my mind Vod, you aren't a clown. You are the sad party magician that only has a handful of tricks and just keeps recycling them over and over again, no one buying any of them, so you get resentful of everyone not buying your bullshit and just become an even sadder more bitter party magician. You do carpool in the community clown car though.

Thanks idiot.   Smiley

Why do you continue to leave inappropriate feedback while posting in multiple threads that feedback should not be used for personal vendettas?

By saying I am mentally ill, does that give your brain the shot of dopamine you need to continue existing?  Do you actually believe it stops people from getting scammed by your buddy OG?  Let other people get the same dopamine rush - stop being a hypocrite.

Remind me again, what does any of this have to do with the topic? Oh right nothing.

There is no reason to give people a courtesy they do not extend to me or others. You have a lot of nerve lecturing me about using trust ratings for personal vendettas. P.S. I know it is hard, but work on generating your own thoughts instead of just repeating mine back at me as if it makes you look smart.
3695  Other / Politics & Society / Re: US Treasury Blacklists Bitcoin, Litecoin Addresses of Chinese ‘Drug Kingpins’ on: August 24, 2019, 12:51:04 PM
I think they will soon start blacklisting BTC addresses of sanctioned countries also.
It is very hard with all the bitcoin mixers and everything though.
What do you guys think? Will they be able to blacklist let's say North Korea or Iran?

Here is the link for the news from the title:
https://www.coindesk.com/us-treasury-blacklists-bitcoin-litecoin-addresses-of-chinese-drug-kingpins

Blacklisting is a failing strategy that will inevitably result in impugning all crypto users. There will be those who submit to KYC and AML regulations, giving up all of the advantages of anonymity and privacy in crypto, and the rest will be evil Chinese drug dealing, North Korean hacker, Russian meddling, global warming, Venezuelan money laundering, terrorists. This is more about trying to put crypto back in a box than controlling drug dealers. If they wanted to control drug dealers the traditional banking system is completely dependent on illicit drug money.

He actually PMed me a list of people he dreamed would come to his front door.  :/

You are such a lying bitch Vod.  Seriously, you have no honor or nuts to speak of.

Surely with nuts as big as yours you would be able to show I was lying - even once?

You are a scammer, and all your bullshit accusations will not change that.  :/

TMAN/Lauda/owlcatz/minifrij/hhampuz have all taunted me claiming they know who I am. Still I don’t give a fuck. I would give thanks to god if any or all of them showed up on my doorstep one day. That would be the ass kicking of a lifetime.

What about this lie Vod?

Found one on the 8th page of this thread.  There are dozens floating around.

The lack of action here by the staff is clear evidence of his protected position regardless of how much he abuses the trust system.

Tecshare, Badbear removed me from his trust list.  I do not have a protected position on default trust.  Stop lying about me.

Vod was removed from his trust list as a direct result of his abusive behavior. A staff member agreed his behavior was abusive.

I have never been abusive.  Show us the evidence...

Here ya go!
I plan to exclude you from my trust list due to your feedback on tecshare. I gave you the benefit of the doubt at first, but the way you keep antagonizing, provoking, and holding it over his head has made it pretty clear it was left out of spite.  If you don't want this, I would suggest you resolve your issues with him ASAP.
The above PM was sent to Vod

I've never been abusive and I've never been excluded.  Smiley

What happens when cash is banned an all that is available is private enterprise free to abuse their monopolies to crush any opposition with the full backing of the monopoly of force of government?

I repeat my original question:

What does any of this have to do with the shooting in New Zealand? You've seemingly hijacked this thread to make it a launchpad for your own conspiracy theories.

And you just doubled-down on this with your last reply. You're quite literally inventing fears at this point, none of which have anything to do with the New Zealand shooting.

I already answered your question in the form of a quote covering the related subject matter of using these events to strip rights.
3698  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] SeedPlate–Stainless Steel Cryptocurrency Recovery Seed Phrase Backup Tools on: August 24, 2019, 04:25:43 AM
Great design. Very minimalist. I would suggest selling some kind of locking system as well, I think some people might enjoy another layer of physical security.

Hi TECSHARE, thanks for your advice. Sorry, what is the locking system that you mean?
for now , Our seedplate support 12 words and 24 words passphrase.  the plate with 4 holes, we can lock multi plates with hex nut and drivers.

I just mean some device to lock the plates together so they can not be opened and viewed. I assume people will be keeping it hidden anyway, but suppose some one does find it a way to mechanically keep it closed might be useful such as with a code or a key. I have seen other designs that have a rivet that has the two sheets attached at one of the points so they slide past each other to open and close, then a lock can be placed thru the opposite side to hold it shut. It seems as if you hope to sell some extras, and some kind of small lock might be a good addition to your shop. Either way I like this setup. It is simple and utilitarian.
3699  Other / Politics & Society / Re: New Zealand ChristChurch mass shootings >:( >:( on: August 24, 2019, 04:17:03 AM

https://news.bitcoin.com/the-push-to-kill-cash-australias-proposed-ban-shows-its-not-conspiracy-theory/

Well gee, if they ban cash we will be totally dependent on banks and other private payment systems who are already refusing services to people for their words. This certainly isn't more proof of the ability to unperson and blacklist certain people for their views and deny them access to the free market now is it?

What does any of this have to do with the shooting in New Zealand? You've seemingly hijacked this thread to make it a launchpad for your own conspiracy theories.

So your point is all of these companies have the right to form effective monopolies, then deny anyone they don't like services?

No, I never said any of that. Obviously what Cloudflare does isn't a monopoly.

How long do you think it will be before sites like Bitcointalk are denied these services?

Never, because this isn't the breeding grounds of manifesto-writing mass murderers.

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/founder-8chan-wishes-he-could-uncreate-forum-popular-white-supremacists-n1039496

Quote
“There is no way I can go back and uncreate 8chan,” Brennan, 25, told NBC News on Tuesday from his home in the Philippines. “If I could, I would, but there is no way to do that. So the main way I have dealt with the guilt is to go on the offensive.”

Ask Theymos how things would run around here without access to Cloudflare. It is not at all hyperbole. Just because it is happening indirectly doesn't mean it isn't happening.

It is hyperbole until it happens, or comes close to happening. What's happening is you like getting worked up over conspiracies that don't effect you in any way, shape, or form. We're on the brink of civil war according to you, so its hard to take anything you have to say very seriously.

For you to pretend that censorship is not brought on by government and corporate pressure is absolutely asinine and intentionally ignorant. It is not even up for debate. Just because they haven't crushed everyone on every outlet yet does not mean they aren't denying access to tons of basic services which are in effect monopolies.

Provide some evidence. Just a shred. Its not up for debate with you because you can't present a rational debate. You live in the richest, free-est country in the world, and all you do is bitch about how unfair everything is and how America is on the brink of ruin. Get a grip.

Regarding Verizon, you are incorrect. They do not have that right, as they are regulated as a utility, as such they do not have the legal authority to deny people service based on their speech (short of it violating law).

OK, well I can't find any specific law that backs this statement, but I will give the benefit of the doubt here because it actually makes sense at face value.

Again, this is 100% a valid point as this trend has been and will continue, and by your metric its perfectly ok to deny basic goods and services to people based only upon their speech. This is the INEVITABLE result of your logic.

There is a giant difference between being denied food and water and being denied DDoS protection services. Only in a place as spoiled and entitled as America would people get this confused.

You just pretending it will never go that far is not a valid retort.

Its more valid than pretending that it will, because so far, you're wrong, and I'm right. It hasn't happened. When people are denied food and water based on the content of their speech, I will admit I was wrong. Until then, you're wrong.

All this is, is the American version of the Chinese social credit system. Soon people who say the wrong things will not be able to leave the country, use public transport, open a bank account, have a phone, or any of the basic necessities in a modern life. Don't worry though, you called me paranoid, so everything will be fine.

Hasn't happened. Won't happen. Yes, you are paranoid. Where do you think is a better place to live in the world? I am genuinely curious. Which nation do you think does a better job of protecting your freedoms?

What happens when cash is banned an all that is available is private enterprise free to abuse their monopolies to crush any opposition with the full backing of the monopoly of force of government?
3700  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Overstock CEO Patrick Byrne Resigns - The Real Russian Conspiracy? on: August 24, 2019, 03:39:19 AM
Read more into the story. Apparently the FBI was involved and was basically instructing his involvement in some cases. I am not saying that absolves him of all responsibility, but they definitely have the ability to coerce people in addition to a track record of using informants, insane, and legally retarded people to craft criminal plots in order to bust them and increase their own budget and profile.

It absolves him of NOTHING. Unless the FBI agent was Jeff Dunham and had his hand up Byrne's ass and was moving his mouth.
Look back though the years he has shot his mouth off time and time again.

Just one of the delightful things that he has said:
[url https://vancouversun.com/news/local-news/the-wild-west-of-the-internet-b-c-mans-seven-year-ordeal-ends-with-million-dollar-libel-awardand[/url]

Lets not forget his years long battle with naked short sellers. One that he loves to point to saying yeah I won.
You won??? You spent more on legal fees then you received in the judgement. And generated ill will from MANY investors.

And lets not forget this one:

Quote
Byrne criticized Utah governor Jon Huntsman for not sufficiently supporting the voucher campaign. According to Byrne, Huntsman had before he was elected stated that he was "going to be the voucher governor", and Byrne had donated $75,000 to Huntsman's campaign for governor in 2004. However, to Byrne's disappointment, the moment Huntsman was elected he went missing from the debate, and Byrne told the Associated Press that he would now bankroll anyone who could defeat Huntsman at the polls, "even a communist".

Hmm, talk like that about the Governor of the state you are headquartered in. Yeah, that's going to be good for tax breaks and other favors.

TECSHARE I know you sell things on the forum, if you were setting up a store in some town and you REALLY REALLY REALLY hate the mayor of said town are you going to:
1) Keep your mouth shut in public and try not to deal with or interact with them.
or
2) Call them out and hope that your stores permits don't accidentally wind up the the shredder.

Be honest, you are either going to open the store someplace else or go with #2.
Eliminate the "I'll get them voted out" or other things. It's the end of August and you want to have your mystery boxes on sale in a retail environment for Christmas.

That is my problem with Byrne

The big 5 CEOs everyone knows. Apple, Amazon, WalMart, Berkshire etc. It's just way it is.
Some of the financial ones we might be more aware of here because of the Banks vs. Bitcoin thing.

But do you know the name of the CEO of FedEx? State Farm? IBM? Boeing? or do they shut up and do their job?

Just my view on why he is really out.
Enjoy the weekend.

-Dave

I totally understand your viewpoint and consider it completely valid, however, I think you may be underestimating the depth of government involvement in this case.
