I didn't consider the media will give any help in bitcoin. Bitcoin isn't a simple product that you just need to be endorsed to get popular.
If that happend the popularity of bitcoin will totally increase, and i think many oppurtunities will open up in bitcoin and for the people who doesnt know bitcoin also and i think many people will try and study bitcoin, as of now bitcoin is gaining popularity also in media because last time i watched ANC and its televised how coins.ph works. Most likely that it will increase popularity maybe even more then that. They might think really hard to implement bitcoin in everyday trade and considering as possible means of paying not just like a investment. Still this would be huge step but only where that i hear about bitcoin on tv was in TV shows few of them. |

Just wondering which alts will be the best buy in? I see a lot suggesting ethereum so what others?
Lets hear some opinions. I know they will rise again no doubt, some will even go into a bull run at some point
I think the insane crazy runs in Bitcoin are over, gains will be slow over time but in alts it could be quite different at any moment
I heard one investor say expect 80% of investments to either loose break even while 20% will take off.
Like every investment everything is gamble you are putting your money or coins on some opinion here. Nothing can be make good unless you research little, many tip on some stable altcoin ethereum ripple monero, and some ICO that had been successful and some that might be the right pick. Its hard sometimes to tell where to put money or bitcoin as an investment, but sometimes when there are so many option better is to stay all in bitcoin, safer that way. |

This is matter of personal opinion. Reason are simple you will place safe on bitcoin cuz bitcoin is destined to rise you will have profit just for holding, and there is another option to put money in investment. What to place on some altcoin or ICO that is dilemma than most here are in, what is good and what can make you profit go boom.

I cannot think of a better reason how can Bitcoin Gold can go up in value in the next month. You will have to go back to Bitcoin Cash, is BCH today price is high as compare to its initial price? I don't think so. It has declined so much that those who though initially about this coin gaining much is regretting their decision holding on this coin, and now they are trap and can't sell it without having to incurred so much losses. I think Bitcoin Gold is worst than BCH, with no support from the community, it will be just another altcoin out there, will simply have died down because they have been totally forgotten by the community. Sad but true though.
My opinion is the same. Think that bitcoin cash will always have better value then bitcoin gold, so far this is true. But for saving it dont think it best solution, as for bitcoin cash holders are like you said in trap, on this i mean most on investors other are just keeping it cuz they got it free. Bitcoin gold would be in worse situation from this, so this value is good, my suggestion sell it quick. |

The best strategy I personally like is to buy altcoins (only the best ones) and hold for long run.
I think this is the most safest option in investment.
In Nov 2016 I invested in a altcoin and the price increased of that coin by +68,000%
I was a fool, that's why I didn't sold at that point. I thought that the price will increase a little more.
But later the price dropped unexpectedly. So you have to be more thoughtful to exit with nice profit.
I wonder what coin is that. To be honest, I don't really expect that much from altcoins so I usually just do 20% gain and then that's it. Even if it skyrockets, it will be fine with me because I know for myself that I wasn't ready to wait that long and I'm only aiming for a little gain instead of experiencing loss because of holding for extra long time. You basically held the coin for a very long time and so you ended up being a bagholder of that coin. Some people are actually just investing in shitcoins and then hope that one of them would skyrocket. It is proven profitable by others but just how lucky are you to invest in one of those coins. It doesn't really require that much money since they are shitcoins. On the other hand, most of the coins will remain a shit coin forever. One advise, having your money doubled in an altcoin investment is already good enough and so sell your coins right away. Do not be greedy. Trading is just like gambling, the more greedy you are, the more risk that you are taking, and the more chances of you losing in the long run. Another advise is to put some of your altcoins in the exchanger site but not all of them. This is just so that you can take action right away if there comes a pump. Sometimes the transaction time is too much that once you have received the coin in the exchange, it's already too late and the pump is already over. It was one of the good coin (InsaneCoin - INSN) where I had invested. My prediction was almost correct for that coin. When I bought that coin I had a thought that price will hit 15k satoshis one day. So I have to hodl as long as I can. My average buying price was 19 satoshis and the highest price of that coin ever reached was 13898 satoshis in cryptopia and it took only 8 months. You can see now that my prediction was only behind by 1102 satoshis. My sale order was at 15k satoshis. But I still believe the price will rise again when alt markets gets stabilize. And most importantly some updates yet to come for that coin. I am hoping the updates will be announced soon. After the updates, price will rise again. Wish me good luck!  You are right about this and for some other coins as well. Now probably most risky and profitable is ICO investing and this is becoming really big trend now. But this as you mentioned for some may be profitable in some longer period but if we look little more nobody here want to wait. But prime and only way of getting big income is patience and waiting. |

Traded on Polo and bittrex, but since polo have major issues with ETH stop and left them, now im more on bitt for trading and cex for fiat withdrawal, and both are working fine and and pleased for the moment. Maybe i will return to polo but when they fix this issues, rest dont use and I never did, but have some that say that stamp is also good one and have good customer support.

Bitcoin is the mother of all crypto and Altcoin price is ruled by bitcoin trend. Bitcoin investment is made on a long term basis and it would give high returns. But altcoins are mostly pumped and dumped coins and mostly investments in altcoins are made in a short term basis.
You are right for long term investment bitcoin is very good but if you can do analysis and research then investing in altcoin is also not bad at all but need too much work instead of bitcoin as you have to watch market and read some charts for bitcoins because keeping eye on these things can increase your profit As of recently, I believe Ethereum is the best Investment to make. Bitcoin was, but that was last few weeks ago, and another time will be on November. Overall, bitcoin is the best, cause it’s well balanced. Yes besides Bitcoin Ethereum is good call for investment stability with some small gaps in price. Many test or try luck with upcoming ICOs but this is for me to much gamble for something that will end up with disaster in the end. |

When investing in bitcoin, you have to take risks. Bitcoin prices are dropping dramatically. so you need to be careful and patient. You have to choose the most appropriate time to sell them
For the moment think this is perfect time for buy, cuz its expected another price rise after this few days, its ok to make risks, cuz without risk no will not have profit. The BCH story showed that you can earn good money on selling forked currency, so people think this will be another case
Last time all exchanges add this to the moment, but here on bitcoin gold many refuse to do this, just few exchanges have add bitcoin gold. Many dont want to have anything to do with it but maybe they will add this later if demand comes to some point they have some interest from it, i dont see any other way. |

For now,, as I have received my bitcoin equivalent from bitcoin cash fork last August from the exchange wallet that I’ve been using.. I’m a less worried about any fork that might come.. I have to spread the news as it feels more hassle free for me and a not risky at all.. I’m just waiting for any updates from them for this October 25th bitcoin Gold fork and November Segwit2.. It should be wiser to ask your service provider customer support for this kind of updates..
That is the thing I was going to do too but then there are no updates from any exchanges other than Yobit yet regarding the fork. The last time I had kept my coins on Bittrex since it was supporting the fork and I got my equivalent amount but there is no word from them too. So its quite difficult now to say what to do if the exchanges wouldn't be supporting it like the last time. Better to keep the coins with a private key aside to be on the safer side. Good for me,, as I have received an update not officially but from one of they’re support team that we can claim bitcoin gold equivalent to our bitcoin holdings but to transfer to an bitcoin wallet address because they don’t support this fork.. But maybe I need more clarification on the Segwit2x or they don’t include as they might be discussing it for now.. This depends where you are keeping your coins, if you are having on some exchanges that are not supporters of bitcoin gold then i presume that you/he/me wont receive bitcoin gold at all. Off course this dont need to be the case, maybe they will latter adopt this but necessary at all. Some choose this other dont. |

It's hard to imagine a cashless society because so many countries and cash users are still very cautious about virtual (say credit cards) and cryptocurrencies. With cash, you know that everyone is conforming to the same rules and know that the currency is backed by SOMETHING (gold in this case). It'll be hard to convince people to convert to something that can't even physically be held.
This one is true. Its hard to tells not even to convince many to use something that they dont like for many reason. But trough history we that paper money have much influence in everything and cuz of that many still really on this. Possible that in time thing will change, cuz we see every day some new improvement in this, so i expect to see this in some time to be adopted in some way. Its hard for most to not use cash, cuz still many use cash in everyday transaction when this is reduced we can say that we are entering cashless era. |

Now is much less, must say that this is something that i expected to see. Didnt expect to see another big boom like with cash to be happen here as well. But in the end it will be evry free money is good money, maybe not as many hope to be but i didnt expected to see him hit 100 dollars at all, but he is good at the moment with around 0.026 btc for one btg. |

The real argument is 'could there be an absolute cashless society?
In my opinion, it might not happen.
Our economy believes and depends in the current banking system.
But Bitcoin revolutionizes/ing a part of economy, let us go along with it.
Living in a cashless society would be a very hassle free and easy to live life. Some rich people are already doing cashless but they are only few compared to the total population of whichever country they belong especially in the third world countries. Having bitcoin as mode of payment is possible but total cashless will take a lot of effort and years to implement since not all people are fortunate to have internet access and smartphones. True, many thing need to be done for this to be used not just be rich people but we are close to it. But think that main problem will be third world countries if this goes on global scale. But think that this will be solved cuz today technology can do this. |

Because iam still newbie in trading altcoin, i will choose some coin that has big volume and big marketcap and also solid team behind that coin, like : Ethereum, Waves, Dashcoin,Litecoin and Monero. I think by trade in these altcoin the risk lower than others. Just take some profit like 10%-15% and buy again in the deep.
Technically every single alt can make profit short and long term, like bitcoin some follow bitcoin in price other dont but with time and experience everyone can sometimes see signal that will be prime for someone to go for it. My pick are some stable one like some you mentioned and sometimes I pick some ICO with some small investment and test my skill and luck in same time. |

Yeah I agree, at least you did learned your lesson and maybe apply it the next time you do trading. Patience is really the key to success if you are into trading, it will really test you. I had the same dilemma too before but I learned my lesson well. Good luck though on your next trading and hopefully you'll get the hang of it. Every trade you make give you some experience in both ways, positive and negative. Patience is only big factor that can bring you good income in long term, for short term you need to take risky moves and to follow some altcoin and try your luck on that. If you have gift for this you will see the moment when need to be invested and that moment can bring you income. However bad moves will make you lose some of investment. Good thing here is that you cant lose all you can always return some amount of your investment. |

On all exchanges price went above this 6000. This might be just cuz bitcoin gold is coming in few days, or not.
Hopefully this price will remain little longer and that this time we will enjoy little on this.

I think maybe good for joining airdrop or social media campaign/telegram/Article. If u want join an translation , a lot dev/project manager not choose Jr.member for translate their whitepaper/ANN project. Maybe their will choose Full member/Sr.Member with previuous translation project. Because bounty manager/dev not want their project have a bad translation , and their will choose more higher rank and more experience for their translation campaign. True this is better if this combine with bounties and now we have airdrops as well. But think that if you are going to go in altcoins (on this I more mean ICOs) cuz they pop out every day, and if you take risk then you might end up with the big earning. |
