1223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan to accept Bitcoin as payment method. on: April 04, 2017, 10:22:38 AM
this is the first step for Ripple coin to be accepted in Japan. They aim to adopt ripple, not Bitcoin. But it is a good sight for cryptocurrency in general. After 47 banks agree to use ripple, we are looking forward to seeing more new things happen to this awesome coin
Well, japan is actually adopting ripple's blockchain tech according to some news that I've read means they're only interested in ripple's blockchain system, don't really know about the rest. But, why japan choose to adopt ripple's blockchain instead of bitcoin? they might have seen the disadvantages of bitcoin's blockchain I suppose, it's at the same time means that bitcoin is no better than ripple even though it's the most popular cryptocurrency as for now? any opinion?

No matter what will be good news is that officially announce that they accept it and probably will have some improvement of usage for what wont wait for long to see any new Japanese tech with something like this. Just next will be which one of big countries will follow this example?
1224  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your best investment strategy? on: April 04, 2017, 08:22:38 AM
For me is easy. buy with cheap and sell with higher than buy. I think the simple investment is buy stocks and leave it to a professional manager to handle our money.

Its not that big of the mystery its always been like this buy when something is cheap and then sell when price go high enough for you to take interest.
Bigger goal is to invest in coin when is to cheap and then coin pump up to sky like some have been in past days reading some older post from some trading and speculation few have guest right on some coin. If they did invest in last year they made huge winning by now.
1225  Other / Off-topic / Re: 2017 Year of the Bitcoin on: April 04, 2017, 07:13:30 AM
We have already seen a good trend in the growth of the bitcoin price in early 2017. Despite this, many users doubt the continuation of stable growth. And all the blame for some price fluctuations. But apparently this all happens only on some commercial exchanges. And apparently it is born artificially.

We will still many good thing in 2017. I mean not just BTC gain alt coins are gains the same they are rising and pumping to be honest i made some bucks on some of them didnt noticed at the start but come to mid train.

Just that this year keep on this track we could expect new rising from all coin.
1226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: April 03, 2017, 12:12:20 PM
Great final in Miami from two player Federer and Nadal. This was Federer's 3rd title this year and if he continue to keep up he will be returning to right track in the moment and he already is pressuring Djokovic. This year will be great for tennis.

1236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan to accept Bitcoin as payment method. on: April 01, 2017, 10:58:23 AM
--
I pointed out why earlier in this thread, it is the cost of electrical power.   In Tokyo we are paying well over 20 cents (US) per KWH!   In China power is probably 1/4 to 1/3 the cost it is in Japan.  So even though the Chinese government is very hostile to virtual currencies there is a lot more involvement.   Additionally the cost of living in China is much lower so that is what drives Chinese involvement.

I don't think very many Japanese understand much about Bitcoin or even care.  Most of the people talking about Bitcoin here seem to be younger.   A lot of kids seem to know a good deal about it though.

In some parts of Europe and the US power is pretty cheap and you have people heavily involved on their own, maybe not so much  Bitcoin but in virtual currencies of some kind.   It isn't the law that drives it, it is simple economics.

That being said Japan is used to virtual money.   There are more credit cards now and point cards are extremely popular.   While Japan is still more cash focused that say the US, in some ways people are more used to money being just numbers here.   Most on-going bills are paid from bank account transfers and mostly that is automatic.   The only monthly bill I have to pay is gas and even that I go to a convenience store like 7/11 and pay there.   In fact there are very few bills you can't pay at a convenience store and they don't charge any fees for that.

Japanese are very progressive when it comes to technology.   It isn't the government that drives that, it is the people that drive the government.   However when it comes to safety the Japanese are ultra-conservative.   That is what will slow Bitcoin adaption because Bitcoin isn't very safe in the eyes of many people.
At the least, the danger of exchanges suddenly disappearing with thousands or millions of users money would be minimized if not, totally eliminated.
With Japan officially accepting Bitcoin, local exchanges would be wrapped up in laws and regulation, which would, in turn provide a somewhat safer avenue for the users/would-be.
All they'd have to worry about then would be the intense volatility and p2p transactions.

This can be true and good with your statement. This is something that has been waited for quite some time first talk about this to Japan officially accept was in 2015 but they stop talking about it and now all is different.

This may be signal for other countries to accept it as well.
1237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: April 01, 2017, 10:54:14 AM
As we were expected, another Roger Federer vs Rafael Nadal FINAL. Last years, it was all about Djokovic vs Andy Murray, now the spotlight return to the classic. This time, I rooting for Rafael Nadal because Roger Federer just play so much game in the way of this final. Even though there a 1 day rest for him, I still doubt he can recover his energy in time.

This is interesting final for two of them here they play first final vs each other 13 years ago so think that this will be presure for both players knowing this, but i expect to see great tennis after all possible bet is over 21.5 point still considering this.
1238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: March 31, 2017, 08:36:19 AM

Here is how the bookmakers have upgraded the odds after the first gp in MotoGP:

Vinales    @2.20
Marquez  @2.50
Rossi       @6.50
Dovizioso @10.00
Lorenzo   @15.00
Pedrosa   @20.00

Head to head between Vinales and Marquez, slightly behind Rossi.
Dovizioso than Lorenzo, who is quoted at 15!

Good but still think that ZARCO will be here to he show no matter if he crashed that he is capable of winning here as well is in motogp2. Predict that he will win one of next 3 races he got speed and everything but need to control better this is after all better ride and harder to control it. For others will wait next race to be certain in who will be the next to battle this season.
1239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: International Games Prediction Thread on: March 31, 2017, 08:32:24 AM
I got shafted in the Argentina - Bolivia match.. FIFA issued a ban 3 hours before matches were going to start.. Lost my parlay because of that single loss. The thing is, the referees and the 4th official said that if Messi was cussing out the linesman, they would have punished him right there and then based on the rules of the game.

FIFA is being corrupt again.  Undecided

Now is quite different i must say i seen this in some premiership games that when they dont see something committee do after the game and punish they player or players responsive for this. Dont want to say anything rude but 4 games is just to much for this what would it be if he someone hit 10 matches.

This kind of doing is wrong ok he need to be punished but this is really bad for sport. Hope that appeal will be fine and that they will reduce him to at least 3 games he need Argentina now more then after after the lost of Bolivia
