301  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: November 14, 2017, 08:10:29 AM
From many differences that they have, probably the main few could be that bitcoin is digital and decentralized, less volatile than cash and maybe no real way of keeping a track of conventional currency.

Why some of this, cash is controlled by banks while bitcoin has owners. Bitcoin has a global acceptance and is less volatile than cash, cuz of this feature, it becomes easier to conduct transactions across boundaries and online (same fee for no matter how big or small transfer is made in bitcoin). Bitcoin have public record of every single Bitcoin transaction that has ever occurred and for cash there is no real way of tracking.
302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin is making this world a better place? on: November 14, 2017, 07:36:02 AM
Maybe some day it will. We see that this year was major in bitcoin history, from adoption to price. Bitcoin is imagined that everyone can used it so i believe that in some time not few or several year this will be reality.

303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between Bitcoin and real money? on: November 14, 2017, 07:20:28 AM
I've discovered Bitcoin few days ago, but I am skeptical about few things, why would I invest money in Bitcoins at the end of the day,why would I convert money into Bitcoins?

If I want to buy stocks or invest money I can easily invest with real $. Why would I convert my $ to bitcoins?
If I want to gamble , I can simply gamble on websites that require $ as currency, why would I convert it to bitcoins?
What's the difference between Bitcoins and dolars? What does bitcoin bring to the table that real $ don't, less taxes, more income?

I can say that bitcoin is much better than real money because the value of bitcoin is increasing while the real money is stable so i prefer to earn or hold if i get bitcoins because i know that because of holding bitcoin someday i will become rich.

Bitcoin is better then real money in every way. Only one thing is that many still are afraid of bitcoin cuz its more internet based and this is main reason why many dont want to be involved due to hacking of it.

On other hand many still want to have cash in pocket rather that come with one card that have all.
304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can cryptocurrency make real money disappear? on: November 13, 2017, 06:51:35 PM
Crypto-currency should strongly push paper money, but no more. She can not, in my opinion, completely replace them. There are many reasons for this. A certain part of people for various reasons simply do not want to use crypto currency and nobody can force them. The other part, due to some of its mental or physical deficiencies, will not be able to use the crypto currency. And finally, there are situations when using the Internet can be impossible or the use of crypto currency in a particular case will be impossible.

One of the back sides of cryptos replacing rel money is internet access that can be really hard even sometimes for good coverage and access point.
Still many not just countries but ordinary people are to rely on money they even dont use credit card so this process can be hard and painful till the end.
305  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin rise to $500k in three years? on: November 13, 2017, 06:41:52 PM
It is possible because its already the best coin in the world and its unstable this means that bitcoin can get really high in the future. I think it will go to 50k in the future.

If its at 50k This will the most expensive coin in the history no more ordinary people can buy it anymore.

50k possible but to be 500k that is little impossible. Realistic is to price comes close to maybe this 50k you mentioned in 3 years time but it would be very absurd to see this 500k price.

307  Economy / Economics / Re: 99% of the people still think that fiat money are better than crypto on: November 11, 2017, 12:14:17 PM
Cryptocurrency is still an emerging currency. It cannot replace any fiat immediate especially fiat has been in use for hundreds of years. You cannot change the custom of people immediately. It is not peculiar that most people will choose fiat over cryptocurrency. But, I think there will be time that bitcoin and other cryptocurrency will take over fiat.

For something like that to be happening is really hard many are hopping that this will be revolution if comes to that. But still many rely on cash, and many are still very much into using paper money. They still are afraid of using crypto in any way, cuz many thing that this is something illegal or many scam or fraud.

Maybe if they see better potential and what cryptos are capable might change there mind but we are still far away from cryptos to change money system globally.
308  Economy / Economics / Re: When will more retailers accept Bitcoin on: November 11, 2017, 12:05:25 PM
"Japan: No Bitcoin Tax, Thousands of Stores to Accept the Cryptocurrency"

article published July, 5, 2017
https://edgylabs.com/2017/07/05/japan-no-bitcoin-tax-stores-accept-cryptocurrency/

"AirRegi is a widely used, tablet-based point-of-sale app in Japan. Currently, around 260,000 establishments, stores, and commercial facilities use this proprietary app to accept payments from their clients."

It makes sense that a transition to accept bitcoin would be underway for more US-based stores.

Some retailers are scared of accepting bitcoins in their daily transactions because they are not yet aware of the convenience of having bitcoins. It is really convenient if bitcoin is used in transactions, that way retailers can gain more profit if bitcoin price increases.

There are right to be scared, but think if amazon is in mood to adopt and accept bitcoin as payment then many will follow cuz amazon is not a small fish.
But main reason is that they are scared what will be if price suddenly drop what then, this is at least from my angle only reason they are afraid of adopting it and accepting it.
309  Economy / Economics / Re: Cashless society on: November 11, 2017, 10:25:43 AM
In the world of economic cashless represents paying with credit or debit card, with cheque or electronic methods rather than the use of cash. So with this statement we could say that we are in pretty much cashless world. If we count into this all the cryptos we could say that more then 50% if not more are being done cashless and there for we are in cashless society.
That is true, but at the moment we still have cash and can use it just as easily as the other methods (assuming you're in person). At some point though that may not be the case, and that's what I'm worried about.

Yes we always have cash, cuz we have stores that are still not accepting above mentioned payment methods. But if we look globaly we are more in cashless payment then real cash payment. Some research indicated that people buy more on credit card then on any other payment method, and we from time to time exchange bitcoin to real cash.
310  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think bitcoin gold value will rise to bitcoin value on: November 11, 2017, 10:22:58 AM
To be realistic not a single alt can be matched bitcoin in price, only one option can be done for alt to be more popular then bitcoin. But this is also hard to be accomplished if we look in long term. For bitcoin gold think it will be less valued then bitcoin cash and also it will be less popular then bitcoin cash. Maybe for long term can be consider good option but there are some better coin for that purpose.

311  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin prices rise high on: November 11, 2017, 10:20:35 AM
Many people are now curious to know what bitcoin is, whereas once bitcoin was just underestimated, now upside down many people stop working instead they prefer to focus on bitcoin

Is this the impact of rising bitcoin prices?

For the fact that the value of bitcoins was continuously rising, there would be an expected increase in number of users because I think most of them were tempted on the high value of bitcoins being shown. From here some considered it as an income without bothering to search a job because they are earning a huge sum of money in just facing the computer and work with some tradings, investment, or any other means of earning.

i agree on you,  Its going higher because I guess there are many users on this online job right now.  We cant control on bitcoin price because as much as we trust Bitcoin,  the higher price it will increase the value on it.  We can receive income without bothering to find some online for you to gain extra money. In this online job,  by posting something that people can learn,  you can gain much money like your working in other country.
The price will keep grow because a lot of people authorized bitcoin so it will keep really high. They enjoys so the price also keep grow day by day.Its like virus that you can't handle to spread and non stop to get high, see the price now of bitcoin its already 20x high than 10 years. If this will keep continue i think all over the world will do invest here and because of that the price also will get high

Yes probably best investment in the world at the moment is bitcoin. We will all agree on this, just this year price jumped 7x times this year, with all time high record this year.
So investing in bitcoin is more then good call or choice for some people or even better option is to be retirement fund. With some small investment of 10k right now in 10 years this can be more then 10 times for 10 years investment.

312  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Better investement right now, bitcoins or Altcoins. on: November 10, 2017, 12:51:31 PM
Many will say bitcoin even I will say. But there are those who will stay on some alt, cuz in last few days price for some went up, if there were holders for those coins they made profit cuz they didnt have few of them they had many of them.

However we see that bitcoin price is moving very high from start of this year so this is good performance for bitcoin holders, maybe some will try to change alt into bitcoin but every coin is good for something, maybe alt could be good solution for long terms.
313  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late to buy bitcoin? on: November 10, 2017, 12:47:56 PM
Even if someone is looking bitcoin as short term its never to late to buy and on long term definitely buy it. We saw that price went more then 6x time this year and its not having way to stop which is good for all of us. So best way if you have some extra money to spend buying it you will never regret it.
314  Economy / Economics / Re: Cashless society on: November 10, 2017, 11:49:38 AM

315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you see alts have chances against Bitcoins? on: November 10, 2017, 07:28:45 AM
Altcoins like Ethereum and bitcoin cash have chance to challenge bitcoin, but other altcoins can hardly change BTC, because most of them are not useful and powerful like BTC. And btc is the most trustworthy.

I think both of them may not even reach near to bitcoin prices anytime. But ETH is much better option than BCC.

To be real, every alt coin or ICO token potentially have chance to be close to bitcoin maybe not in price but in popularity it can.
Some alts even moved up in price in last few days so for someone who invested in some coins this is good but for some they will be in bitcoin cuz its most valued.

Eventually if we look at price range not single alt can match to bitcoin, but some like ETH and maybe BTC and few others can be close with popularity.
316  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much can Bitcoin increase? on: November 10, 2017, 07:25:58 AM
My guess is that the BTC will rise above $ 10,000 by the end of 2017. What do you think?
I agree with your prediction. I also think that it will be able to reach 10000$ of market value at the end of this year. At first I thought that it will only increased upto 7500$ at the end of 2017, but it already reached that amount at this moment without the hardfork starting. And since there will be a fork, it is something to look forward with because its value is expected to be more expensive.

Very much that it can be possible, many see this price very possible. Dont see any reason why we wont see this this year but this price is knocking on doors every day. With so much increase in bitcoin price this year i dont see why it can be happening with this 10k price by this years end. We have only little more then moth till years end but its quite possible to see this.
317  Other / Meta / Re: 2fa at bitcointalk on: November 09, 2017, 01:07:08 PM
This should be consider very serious cuz in this last few weeks we saw many users that they are been hacked and account used for scams this should be consider as very serious add. But maybe they already consider this for implementation for upcoming period.
318  Economy / Speculation / Re: Forecast for the next week. on: November 09, 2017, 12:41:35 PM
I think there is no much movement in the price of bitcoin by next week given the fact that the scheduled hard fork was cancelled and also I think the price of bitcoin may stay at $7000 - $7500 I don't think this would ever drop I can see that the price is quite stable in the past weeks I just hope that this will continue up to the end of this year. I am also hoping that other altcoin will pump because I made some investment to them.

True not much movement in price always in same range little down little up but range is at the moment stable. Still have believe that it will broke 8000 by this years end, read here in some tread that they hope for predictions on price reaching and breaking 10k for one bitcoin. Im little skeptic on this price but I will be happy if this comes to be.
319  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Patience and Holding on: November 09, 2017, 11:49:50 AM
They work together if you have both skill then you can make in crypto fast and with success.

But if we look at the definitions from both terms then we see that they are almost alike even in meaning, so bottom line is that they cant work without each other.
320  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Amazon Integrate Bitcoin? on: November 09, 2017, 11:42:04 AM
It is a payment system, so of course it can. The question is do they need it? it has unstable movements  in the price all the time, so there is no point to do that in the closest time

Unstable price movements won't impact amazon at all.

Please keep in your mind that if Amazon is going to accept bitcoin, they will do it through a 3rd party channel such as bitpay, which converts the BTC to fiat at the rate of the buy point.
Which means that you pay with bitcoins, but amazon gets fiat, they are not open to any changes in the bitcoin price.

That's a possibility, but it's also possible for them to keep a certain percentage of the Bitcoins.
Overstock is doing that and keeping around 50% of all Bitcoin payments they receive, perhaps there are other companies that are doing the same.

I'd really like to see some statistics on Bitcoin payments from other companies, if usage is too low then I don't see Amazon accepting Bitcoin in the near future.

Yes this can be bad example if most of the companies dont have that much buy/sell with bitcoin, like you mentioned. And if amazon is looking that way then i dont think that this or the next year will be good for them to accept bitcoin as payment. More likely it will 2019 or 2020 and besides them think that eBay will follow to.
