Is there a precompiled Linux wallet daemon?

What distro and version?

Reward is now 5.

It's a good idea for the people with GPU miners to share or leak them. Block rewards are small, and the FUD is hurting the price and any profits you make with a GPU miner.

We are talking about humans here. Humans are by nature greedy, selfish and only interested in advancing their own interest at the expense of others. Most people do not care about anyone else but themselves and will do anything and everything to keep their advantage at all cost. Here and there there is someone that is actually willing to give, share or help others, but they are very very rare. This selfish attribute of humans is what is making crypto a dark and ugly place as they don't mind killing a coin as long as they can make a few buck before they move on. It is what is driving the behavior in crypto 99%.

So you are basically saying a dev  should just put up their miner that they took the time to develop that could have been hours, days or weeks for free. Would you work for free?

Ask a dev how much donations they get from miners that use the ones they openly update. As far as I know there 2 or 3 that do. So the same can be said about miners. They use a dev's miner without contributing anything back.

If I remember correctly sp_ has increased his  x11 miner over a year now and said he has less than 2 or 3 BTC in donations. Think about that for a minute.

It's not a perfect world but there are two sides to every coin.

People should be rewarded for their skillz and it is so that those with skillz will prosper over the rest. Sometimes though whats the point if those skillz give you an advantage that becomes no advantage at all. Lets use an analogy - one sports team buys all the best players and keep winning game after game, year after year. Soon there will be no more spectators and no more tickets sold because the people lost interest causing the good sports team to have to let the players go because they don't have enough money to pay them anymore. Let GPU miners get their advantage early on for their skillz but at some point open it up, otherwise what is the point if people leave and those 3 will be the only ones mining with no-one to buy from them.

That's what the community is here for, to help Smiley

Yes, a dev cannot do everything and where the community can step up to assist it does so.

when I staking coins no rewards.   Huh

How much are you staking?

High quantity of coins stands a better chance of staking.

He's probably just playing with ya... Grin

If I buy 35k coins when price was 26k and stake 3 days I would have now 37k coins.
I could buy now 90k coins for same price today.
I am just saying that staking is not profitable with every day connection problems and dumping on exchange.

Am I playing ?

More news to come...

Computer problems are systematic. Many people are not experiencing any issues which means that you are doing something wrong. It can be one of a plethora of reasons local to your environment and could be something as silly as your internet connection having an issue. If there was a systematic problem everyone would be experiencing the same issue which is not the case.

Also 35k coins staked correctly would be closer to 50k after 3 days based on historic data. It could decline with networkstakeweight.

How can I tell if I mined or staked?  Huh

3 Quick ways:

1) look at the reward size
2) see if some coins move to "stake" when the block is found
3) look at number of confirms

I have Qt-Win64-1.0.1.zip wallet

https://bitbucket.org/AxiomCryptocurrency/axiom/downloads
Axiom-Qt-Win64-1.0.1.zip

O ok. I saw people giving you command line instructions for Linux so I assumed you are on Linux. So you are actually on Windows. Which Internet protection suite do you have installed and have you made sure that Axiom-Qt is allowed in the firewall rules? Can you also say if you want to POW mine or just stake or both?

Here are the instructions to create a .conf file in backwards looking OS syntax instead of forward looking OS syntax (\ vs /)  Cheesy

1) depending on which version of the backward looking OS you have, go to the top and select view and then tick "file name extensions" or look in help and enable view file name extensions. Also enable view hidden files - look it up in the help file.
2) navigate to c:\users\yourusername\appdata\roaming\axiom
3) in the axiom folder right click, new, text document and highlight everything and type in axiom.conf. make sure that the file created is not axiom.conf.txt but just axiom.conf
4) open the file in vi, sorry I mean nano, sorry make that notepad and enter the lines below just as it is.
5) save the file
6) close and re-open your wallet and see if you get connections.

Put these lines in the axiom.conf file if you just want to stake. If you also want to POW mine with the built in miner also add the line "setgenerate=true" in there somewhere:

Dev is this your master plan that wallet have no connection today  Huh
bitspill's nodes are right nodes, I had your problem and then add these nodes one by one in command line and now my wallet is sync and have 16 active connections. Wink

I still have no active connection and add these nodes one by one in command line two times.

 Huh

do you have the conf file set up?

I need instructions how to fix this

But if we ask you details of your setup you dont answer. How are we supposed to help you if you dont give the details we ask. It seems that you need step by step instructions so please post here what distro and version of Linux you have and if it is on your local PC or on a VPS. Also if you use root or another account that you created. Also are you using iptables or ufw or neither. If you dont know this details maybe Linux isnt for you and then there is a better suited OS for you that released yesterday. No offense.

I find it hard to believe that if you were able to compile this baby on Linux that you dont know how a .conf works and how to set it up. It doesnt make sense. If it carries on like this then I am on the verge of suggesting you are just trolling here.

Looks like you are on Linux there. The code works perfectly on Linux. Have you tried making a .conf file? If so can you post it?

Please do not use this event to try and defame the developer team as having a GPU miner, we never had one and we refused to buy it because we don't believe they are necessary. If this becomes an issue, we will simply make the necessary changes to eliminate it.

This is just a minor situation that is being magnified by few who are more interested in reducing the price for their own benefit than addressing the actual issue and realizing that it's both minor currently, and completely resolvable.

We have yet to see this GPU miner in action, we've got nothing more than a screen shot posted that is simple to create using an editor as basic as microsoft paint, or as simple as modifying the existing minerd code to post a 750Ti and adding a multiplier to the hash so the output is higher.

Bottom line We're investigating the GPU miner and if it turns out to be an issue in which few get an unfair advantage the problem will be resolved.

Axiom Team

There is nothing that cannot be resolved. People will be watching how the dev team handles this and if they manage to steer the boat clear of the rocks people will have more respect for the team especially of they pass this test of character. I haven't observed anything scammy about the dev team so far so I am following a wait and see approach to see if they have enough resolve to fix the issue at hand.

People in crypto do not have a lot of elasticity meaning that a small change can have a fast and big impact. This works both ways in that a small issue causes a big drop and if it is proven to be a non-event or fixed it can very quickly lead to a sharp rise again.
1997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AXIOM] AxiomMemHash and SHABAL-256 with Schnorr Signatures - POW / POS on: July 29, 2015, 02:08:59 PM
What is the real issue here? Because a few guys have a GPU miner? The coin is still the same coin, the dev the same dev and the plans and vision the same plans and vision. A few might have more coins but that is not necessarily a bad thing if they are responsible holders. No matter what coin or algo you use there will always be people that manoeuvre an advantage to mine more than others eg. renting a large farm. These things happen with all coins and there is nothing that a few adjustments cannot solve.
1998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AXIOM] AxiomMemHash and SHABAL-256 with Schnorr Signatures - POW / POS on: July 29, 2015, 01:26:54 PM
Look at the positive - the dev seems legit and honest. With a committed dev he can make changes to adapt to the environment eg make the algo more difficult etc. The coin rewards for phase one is almost at the low point. There will then be a while before it goes up again and that time can be used to "fix" the issue.

The fact that myagui was a party crasher does not mean that the party cannot continue. It is not the end of the world. The playing field will be leveled more during the low reward phase during which either either better anti-GPU measures can be implemented or the GPUminer can be made available to the community for phase 2.

This makes me think of something that Charles Holland Duell said in 1902 : In my opinion, all previous advances in the various lines of invention will appear totally insignificant when compared with those which the present century will witness. I almost wish that I might live my life over again to see the wonders which are at the threshold.

I think that this will be relevant for the current century in an exponential way. I think there will be wonders beyond imagination and the financial system and the way we interact with each other is not exempt from this. New inventions make the old obsolete.

Reward is now 25 per block right? Dropping fast

It seems POW is 25 and staking 60 atm.
