Their wallet shows 7 active connections atm

Whose wallet?

Why is bittrex wallet disabled?

I think the orig seed nodes just expired. New wallets aren't connecting to network, existing wallets are running without problems...
But that's just me guessing.  Undecided  Smiley

There are 68 connections currently and the network looks strong. If new wallets cannot connect then connections would have dropped a lot. Lots of 2.0.0.2 connected on the network.

There was talk of a windows X64 binary. I can really use that as I have my blocks split small and a few thousand of them, and 32GB ram. Is the 2.0 version X64?

 Vegas

The 2.0 version is 64 bit and needs it for the TOR integration, if compiling on 32 bit you will get errors. I'd like to try to focus on 64 bit as we progress because as tech progresses slowly 32 bit will eventually be phased out.

ARM8 is 64bit and perhaps they will be rolled out in future to the Pi. Ill look for the older commit.

I tried and failed. The code compiled ok, but the client didnt like that tor business on startup.

I am running a git version checkpointed before the most recent tor submit.

Ok I'm building on linux as we speak on a fresh install, what error are you getting? The most recent version will only work with 64 bit but the older version will also work. Possibly missed a file or two in the repo but have a source zip and will also be pushing and checking that against the repo to make sure nothing was missed.

Raspberry Pi is 32bit and it seems the tor code wants 64bit. It is giving the memory errors. Do you have a link for the source code without tor?

If I have 32-bit wallet what is the major advantage to using the 64-bit wallet? Smartasses!!

It is like the difference between driving your car on a one lane road vs driving on a multiple lane road.

OK, so how does this make the wallet any better? Stakes better or just less CPU usage or what?

Generally the advantage of 64bit systems and apps is when you use more memory than what is addressable in a 32bit system. The big advantage can be experienced with systems that uses lots of memory like databases or perhaps large creative design projects. For lessor memory intensive apps the gains will be minimal if any. Having said that, it is good practice to run apps designed for the default word size of the system eg. 32bit or 64bit. If you are just going to run a standalone small app, using 32bit is fine.

Pmed dev regarding a block explorer & richlist Smiley

Did you provide a richlist in your explorer?

Did = Past

Did Catherine fall off the bike ? Yes, Catherine did fall off the bike..

Do = Now

Do you have weed in your pocket ? Yes, I have weed in my pocket.

So the question would be "DO you provide a richlist in your explorer"

And yes, look above, i've highlighted it for you in green, it seems Scorpianz provides a richlist Wink
Lol ocminer Tongue And yeah I do - As stated in the message Smiley

He could use the money he made from the NUKE ICO to pay for the explorer and richlist for NEBU.

It is convenient that the website is "down for maintenance" so that nothing can be verified. Or perhaps it is just co-incidence? I presume it will be down for the whole time of the crowd sale? How certain are you that it will "go live" again after the crowd sale ends?
2052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WOC2 - WarOfCoins - MASTERNODES on: July 19, 2015, 04:28:49 AM

Is that a sign for upcoming news? Dev buy 6btc of woc2?

Who knows? The volume was exactly the amount needed to prevent a de-listing though. This means that WOC2 will not be de-listed this round.

EDIT: I see the de-listing warning for WOC2 has been removed.

dont waste time on this shit, dev only had one post after ico

Well the dev last logged on 4 days ago. 95% chance that he bailed after ICO. 5% chance that he comes up with some grand roadmap or something.

how is this possible, looks like nobody want to buy..

Should make some movements

In the current climate of devs disappearing after ICO the market want to see first if this dev sticks around and if he did not perhaps just disappear with whatever he got from the ICO.
2057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [GE] Greed Evolved • HiPOS & POW Hybrid • Inflation Blocking • Super Blocks! on: July 18, 2015, 08:56:59 AM
How does POW combat inflation? Unless you mean that once HiPOS ends money supply will only grow with 1 coin per block?

I would have hoped that devs realised by this time that there should not be too big an extreme between initial coin reward and eventual coin reward. if the difference is too extreme, and your marketing relies heavily on HiPOS, the HiPOS will attract the people that you do not want for the long term. Quick profit takers are attracted by HiPOS and then moves on after dumping their coins when HiPOS is over. The low reward after that is too low to attract any POW miners. Low POW will only work once a coin is established and the price has gone up enough. Most people nowadays have ASIC miners for SHA256 that runs on 1000W+. Even if you go for GPU miners it will still cost you 300W+ in electricity cost. Earning 1 GE per block means that that 1 coin must be worth a packet to cover your electricity cost. It could be feasible with setgenerate wallet mining but the problem is then it could take you ages to nurse diff that low and then it takes one ASIC to take diff back up up there and takes you back to square one.

You will have to work on plans to get a high sustainable price on GE before HiPOS is over else it will just be another 1.5m coin earning 1 coin per block and people move on since if HiPOS is your marketing plan it will only last during HiPOS. Looking forward to see your plans to achieve this which has turned out to be extremely difficult in alt-coins. My predictions for Greed 1 was spot on - please prove my predictions for Greed 2 wrong - I would like to be wrong with this.

wait for ocminer!
the only POOL!!!
100% of the hash needed on suprnova!

EDIT: here he is!

Lol +1

Totally true, idk why people even ask for other pools anyways

All pools have a right to existence and different pools should exist for various reasons including security and competition. With new and smaller coins it does happen that people flock to pool because of human nature - greed - meaning if everyone mines on one pool then they know they will have the best chances of getting coins and maximizing their yield. If you look at established coins the spread to various pools is more reasonable, there will always be human nature factor that pulls behavior in a certain direction. Like with anything in life it needs philanthropic and unselfish behavior to do the right thing eg. give up income to save the rain forest, get to work later to give others a chance on the road or give up chances to get coins to mine on another pool to increase security. These attributes are rare and you have to take it as a given that pools are operating in a hostile environment governed by greed and selfish behavior (cryptoland)

Several mining pools as businesses is not a new concept. It can be compared to several pizza shops in one street or several 2nd hand car dealers in one street or a high street full of jewellery shops. The principles to solve it for all of the examples are the same and comes down to 1) building brand and goodwill, 2) service and customer experience, 3) services, 4) marketing and establishing your business as a leader on at least 2 factors and if those factors do not exist or is too difficult to penetrate you create new ones and 5) you need to understand your competition and what makes them attract business.

If you fail in these things or do not work on them and give them attention you will not attract market share. Having said this, if the characteristics of the environment is irrational - if the pull of human nature is so strong in one direction, then all the best intent and plans and work will be futile eg. if the fallacy of thinking rhino horn gives more sexual drive than eating sea sand does not stop, all rhinos will be killed at some point even those in captivity or if the survival instinct is too strong in the Amazon the rain forest will be all cut off in future and lastly if the greed for maximum coins is too strong, then mining pools will disappear leaving one pool and then everyone has to live with the security consequences etc.
2059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Vcoin sha256 pow on: July 18, 2015, 07:19:32 AM
The more I look at it I think getwork should be last on the priority list. Although vcoin is wonderful to solo mine especially since diff retarget is so quick, pools are the way of the future and plays a cardinal role on several levels. If it is possible to solo mine a coin, the miner can just as well be pointed to a pool since a) the wallet is connected to the Internet in anyways, b) pool fees won't break the bank and sustains an important service and c) over time solo mining and pool mining yield converge. At some point solo mining will become futile for a successful coin in anyways.

It is therefore more important to land the new wallet based on 0.11 and focus on other key aspects on the list.
