1501  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC 100K FOR 2024 ! on: June 22, 2023, 10:32:16 PM
We're seeing the setup coming from all of those Bitcoin ETF applications. There's now a massive buyoff that's happening and if you don't have an idea where all these demands are coming from, the majority of it comes from whoever applied these Bitcoin ETFs.
While the retail traders and investors should just come on what's happening right now, whenever most of these applications becomes approved. I think that we're going to see a massive rally which could land to a price that we're not expecting.

I don’t think we see a six figure Bitcoin price until 2025, but who knows given the last cycle was held down with manipulation from FTX. If we do see a six figure BTC in 2024, then I would expect 2025 to have an absolutely insane blow off top near the $800K range. I think a more sensible prediction would be $60K in 2024 & $200K in 2025.
I wouldn't call it crazy if it gets $800k, not unreal could be realistic but this is why I like bitcoin. Full of surprises, if it dumps, certainly gonna make everyone upset. But if it pumps, it goes to the price that we've never expected during the bull run.

1502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hold Bitcoin VS Hold Gold on: June 22, 2023, 08:37:46 PM
If you're the type of investor that's diversifying and able to have both gold and bitcoin, there's certainly no need to think of which you should hold. These are both good investments but with limited budget and funds for investments, I'll choose to have what I've known being better and that's bitcoin. While we see the institutional drive that's happening in bitcoin, this is like still a fresh market for them. And they do understand that being one of the earliest and first on this market will give them dominance and advantage and that's what they're taking from investing in Bitcoin. In gold, those who are also early on that game are surely making their profits easily.

@pmemorex, you're saying that you're expert in investing in crypto and you can help people with such? Then why you even made a thread that you've been scammed?
1503  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin Success Stories on: June 21, 2023, 09:22:54 PM
First of all OP, you posted on the wrong section. This section is visible and labelled as gambling discussion so you shouldn't post topics like that if it is irrelevant to the board. Secondly, this is like an easy story that can be made up. I am sorry if that's what I am thinking of your story. But if the story tends to be true then I am wrong with my thought. As we go outside, you know that everyone is striving hard to get on their shoes and have a better life. If you're just shopping out and talking loudly about your investments and suddenly a stranger comes out and joins your discussion, it is inappropriate to have that reaction of being too open with the topics you're discussing. What if that guy is just pretending to be the owner of that restaurant where you're eating because anyone can easily claim that? And it turns out that guy had already sighted you hours ago or days ago because you've exposed yourself that you're also into Bitcoin. Please be aware of the dangers of discussing things like this on public because of this very known attack: $5 Wrench Attack
1504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: June 20, 2023, 10:36:23 PM
That is a big thing for esports. The Riyadh Masters already have a huge prize pool, imagine how much more it will get if there is already a dedicated Esports City in Saudi Arabia. It has the potential to be even bigger than the biggest prize pool in TI. It will push Esports to even greater heights. Hopefully, it will become a success because it will cater to a lot of Esports events if that comes to reality.
Yeah, it's the biggest prize pool that a tournament will ever held and take note that this isn't even a part of a DPC tournament so no DPC points for the participants. But I guess, this is a good thing that there is this type of tournament so everyone can qualify for the tournament and whoever is gonna be invited on this prestigious tournament. And talking about this city, Saudi Arabia is trying to make their country the center of esports and it's a good investment for sure on their end because they know that the esports industry is a big market that they can take advantage for their tourism and also could be a place for these organization to be their main country for their headquarters.

This is great news for people who can go there without much problem. But I assume so many people wouldn't be very happy this news as the place is too far to themselves. But this kind of huge investments would be expected from especially Saudi Arabia on one hand. In the end they have oil money and they can use it for whatever they want really.

It is at least good that they have decided to spend this amount on a field that has been on the rise for years. Saudi Arabia has a population of 36 million so I wonder how many people are interested in e-sports. In-country participation rate would also be very important for them I guess.
Well, if you've been into esports and watches a lot. Every tournament, event and competitions are held in different countries so there's no far place from these teams, players, organizations and managements. I think it's not about how many people in their country are interested in esports but it's about attracting esports tournaments to be held on their country and get more of the tourism sector and as well as rent for the events place itself.

I'd be thrilled if i'd be able to go there, but unfortunately I can't. It's a lot more closer to me compared to the US or Europe, but then again there are still a lot of requirements for me as a tourist if I were to visit Saudi Arabia just for that. But going back, there'd be a lot of exciting events that could be possibly made on this ambitious project, though hopefully it's accessible to a lot of gamers and not just the ultra-elites.
I'm hoping that I can go there and just be an observer someday but I don't know when exactly it will happen. I think when this is done, they'll put ease to the tourists that has this specific purpose of going there. Hopefully, that they'll like some special process on the tourists who's got that definite purpose of landing to their country.

It is good news for us Dota watchers, so we get better productions in the future, but unfortunately, not everyone would like this news because a lot of the esports fans previously expressed their hatred for Saudi Arabia whenever they get involved in the competitive scene.
I'm optimistic on this because it's the entire esports and this isn't just going to be for the Dota 2 but also other esports that's being competitive in the scene.

There's also the news about Old G potentially getting disqualified once more because Aramis suddenly left the team, and Old G is close to hitting the match limit that a sub can play for the entire tour.

This is painful for the Old G, I guess that they should just give up this team. Isn't it that they've taken a slot by another team for them to be back in division 2?

This is very good news in terms of the development of the e-sports sector and more hype. But I can say that the country is a bit bad.Fortunately, this 500 million dollar investment may encourage other countries to establish such a plan by bringing excitement to other countries.E-sports is a sport that is really fun to watch and as exciting as football, and I'm obviously very happy to see such a news.I hope a CS-dominated city will be established Cheesy
If that happens that other countries invests and do the same thing as what Saudi Arabia is about to do, it's a win for the esports industry. Many will keep on pursuing their esports career even not a main player but just a support staff or with the back end type of jobs. The hype on every tournament is actually very good and noticeable and those crowd shouts aren't just for the typical sports but also in esports.
1505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: June 19, 2023, 06:18:43 PM
Everyone, aren't you hype with this news or did you already see the good news about having an Esports City in Saudi Arabia?

It's gonna be a worth $500M city for building this place. That's a lot of money for the Saudi Arabia to build this but I think that the crowned prince has got the influence on why this has made. If anyone still haven't seen it yet, the prince has always been trending when there's the battle pass for Dota 2.
1506  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving one third what you earn monthly is not that hard, isn't it ? on: June 18, 2023, 08:46:24 PM
Saving that percentage isn't hard. But what makes life hard if it's that easy to save that amount monthly? Well, easy, we don't have the same salaries. Those that are earning a lot from their salaries and businesses can do this much but the wise people wouldn't just save that amount for savings but they'll allocate it for savings. If you're living as a single, you'll easily determine how much percentage you want to save every cut off of your salary. There will be not that much obligations for you except rents and tax but if you don't rent that there's a lot of money on you where you can put into other things. While I see couples and families struggling saving even lower than that percentage it's because of many factors like high cost of goods.
1507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a steady income haven on: June 16, 2023, 10:56:23 PM
Though in terms of steady income that all came from gambling, that's something that is not usual. Maybe some will say that they
can do it, but for sure it's only a small percentage of a gambler,
It's surely that they're a small percentage of real gamblers. Even the pro gamblers are having hard time dealing of these difficulties but they know what they're up to and how they're able to make money from it.

more on the casino owners who can generate steady income from
gambling.
Right also those influencers that are getting paid to advertise the casinos that chosen them as their ambassador or advertiser. There's a certain and assured money for them. Not forgetting those that has communities and managed to build their affiliates on certain channels or groups that they've made, they are earning passively from those people.
1508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: June 15, 2023, 11:00:28 PM
Not really, there are still a lot of interest for Dota 2 and that is because we've got two threads for esports and the other folks have been posting also there so, maybe the other one is more active than this.
Dota 2 is still enjoyed by a lot of users here and many gamblers who are also members of the forum bet on Dota 2 matches.
It is true that there are two threads here but I think this is the only thread that forum users are most interested in and this thread is more active on compare with the other thread.
Both are active and wherever you post, as long as the discussions are all about Dota 2 or any other esports that's totally fine.

One of the of the end of the esports thread for Dota 2 discussion is not very active because Dota 2 matches have a few days gap in each match.
I'm sure that soon when the TI Dota 2 tournament starts, the discussion thread will be very active again every day.
Yeah, that's what will happen when the TI has come or even the Bali majors have been on the schedule. But that's still a few months away and there's still some interesting LAN tournaments that are not DPC that's about to come because they're interesting due to the prize pool that it's about to give and one is Riyadh masters.
1509  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin gift to wife on wedding. on: June 13, 2023, 10:49:28 PM
Although I still studied, I invested a small amount in Bitcoin. I will get married if I get a good job. Many people give many things to their wives as wedding gifts, I have a different plan. I am planning to gift bitcoin to my wife on her wedding day. Bitcoin is still illegal in my country so I invested with caution. On my wedding day I want to gift half of my investment to my wife.
Should I gift bitcoin to my wife? I want your advice
Well, if you're married both of you will have a conjugal obligation so that's normal that what's yours will be hers and what's hers will be yours unless both of you have an agreement. I think before you get married, you might be as well stable first and don't decide too quickly unless the type of living where you are is easy going and not stressful. Because based on the world economy, many are struggling on how's the increase of goods in different country so. There's nothing wrong giving her a bitcoin as a gift and if that's your decision, I am sure that no matter what you give to her will be taken and handled with care.
1510  Economy / Economics / Re: Should you save, when you are wealthy? on: June 12, 2023, 11:39:03 PM
The answer is yes because you being wealthy does not mean that your finance can't decline, it very important for everyone to save wether you are reach or poor, that's why the rich is always in search of lucrative investment because of the fear of being poor, the rich look for more money by investing in different things in other to keep their wealth by so doing they are practicing savings in disguise.
But it's the different way of what the actual rich people does, they also do save but not entirely their wealth on savings but in investments. I still want to save money and that's a yes because having cash ready anytime you want to spend it on anything is always the best guarantee that you can have and it will give you a peace of mind. While it's easy to say that the poor people should also save you, you'll never understand their situation if you have never been into their shoes, they barely save and they barely have investments and everything that they're earning is being allocated to their needs for daily survival and food.
1511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: June 12, 2023, 09:43:45 PM
Speaking of DOTA events. Tomorrow is the start of DreamLeague Season 20 in Stockholm, Sweden.

I guess most bitcointalk folks isnt really interested with Dota anymore . Normally we would have plenty of conversations regarding this but it seems abit different as no one really mention about this in this thread
Not really, there are still a lot of interest for Dota 2 and that is because we've got two threads for esports and the other folks have been posting also there so, maybe the other one is more active than this.

Anyway, small tips from me if you are betting on this. Draw seems like the best option so far as alot of teams are getting draws since yesterday so goodluck guys  Smiley
For the DreamLeague S20, all matches for the group stage 1 are only 2 maps so yeah betting for a draw is more likely. But for the group stage 2, it's now best of 3 so that's where the harder part will start.
1512  Economy / Economics / Re: Binance crisis - how will it affect the crypto market? on: June 11, 2023, 10:20:30 PM
the dibinance crisis will make all crypto impact the market.
It already did but it didn't last long. So from $27k and then it plummet and now recovering and back to $26k.

something that is big and well-known if it suddenly becomes problematic will certainly have a bad impact.
That's for sure but all of these happenings will have temporary affection to the market. And once it's done, it's done and the market will recover after all of these big news.

maybe the crypto market will drop very deep if binance threatens to collapse.
We'll see but I think that we won't see as big as the drop of the FTX collapse. Binance is far from that IMO and that's why there is nothing to worry with.
1513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can They Find A Way to Do It To Bitcoin? on: June 10, 2023, 10:53:09 PM
Nope. They'll be able to stop people on their jurisdiction and geographical location but they'll never be able to control and sue Bitcoin. Who are they gonna sue just as what they're doing to exchanges? Satoshi Nakamoto? The miners? The traders? Us? Well, they can just make laws out of it based on what they prefer but on the other side of the world, they can't control people that have been using Bitcoin, trading and holding it.
Whilst it is here to stay and the network is secured and they can't do something about it. Even if they fund to attack it, that will be useless, worthless and just a waste of money if they do so. The point is totally pointless if they ever try to do that with Bitcoin and I think, they all understand it.
1514  Economy / Economics / Re: To Hodl or Lend: What is your take? on: June 08, 2023, 09:13:01 AM
Let's generalize the lending thing in the crypto community. There have been projects that have made their main use case into lending and we've seen that most of them collapsed. If personally I'll go with the lending business and I'll have a budget of my BTC into lending, I'll pass.
It's an headache and painful honestly and even if I haven't done such, imagining of how things will go when you're gonna have hard time asking for the payment of your borrowers seems to be like having no hope and just a discouragement why I've been into this. So honestly, it's hard pass on me if this idea is gonna be brought by someone to me. I'll just leave it to those that has a strong heart and have been into this business for years.

Is there a team that's owned by Indonesia? I know that there are Indonesian players but I don't know that there's such thing in existence. There are notable Indonesian players but the competition is just too tough on Dota 2. Even if you go as a player, it's entirely hard to win a game these days and that's thanks to the new meta that keeps on being updated and no one has that upperhand unless you're experienced and with good teammates. Since Indonesia is part of the SEA, I've just seen the game of Boom Esports and Mansion Army Geniuses, the one that's relegated to division 2 is the Boom Esports. These has got Indonesian players but their offlane was out and was subbed by Mushi, this team has also got notable players but still having hard time retaining their status.
Boom Esport is one of Indonesia's teams and they don't seem to have an impressive championship title but at least there are representatives from Indonesia who can play in the Dota 2 Esport field.
I don't know why Indonesia has never had a prestigious title in the field of Esport and as far as I know, only MPL has become Indonesia's pride in the field of Esport, and even then it was several years ago.
In other esports, they're doing pretty well but Dota 2 is a tough competition in the world of Esports. Sadly with Boom Esports, they're relegated to division 2. Together with Xerxia, they're back there and will have another tough competition to go back to the division but I don't think that we'll see that soon as the next tournaments are going to be invitationals and as well as through regional qualifiers for the TI.

Talking about the Indonesian Dota 2 team, maybe they can learn more and also add some experience so they can compete with other countries' Dota 2 teams.
Boom is strong and they even won majors but it's just that they've changed roster and they can't keep up with the old roster they've got that has won majors. They should have budgeted that roster until they've been having hard time now.

Congratulations on winning that bet despite that GG lost this game, they're still now gonna go on Bali and at the same time, they are going to the The International assuring their slot. Well played and well done to them.
Yes, I hope that it really happens so that they can provide enthusiasm and motivation for the Dota team which is owned by Indonesia.
But it seems that the team from Indonesia has never won a prestigious title.

1517  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bustabit SCAM predator on: June 04, 2023, 10:21:40 PM
I think everyone will speak with their own experiences.

Just me lost over 10.000$ there  ( yes the game can be manipulated 10000% ill add a video youtube soon proofing that )
Aren't you doing this because you're just out of your anger that you've lost that amount there?

3. Take a look at their TrustPilot its reviews everyone says its scam
I've taken a look at their rating there but it's a mixed one, there were those saying it's legit and the ones that were saying that it's a scam were much likely angry because the fact that they've lost.

You have already posted on their announcement thread with the same post as this on this section. So speaking for my experience when I've played there, I had never experienced any issues with them whether I'd lost or won some.
1518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: June 02, 2023, 10:55:56 PM
Yes, thanks buddy.
But if Tundra can ask for consideration and is willing to make several requests, maybe there will be a solution regarding visas to be able to come to Indonesia because this is a game competition so it doesn't trigger many people to arrive there.
After all, there will surely be the best way or solution to solve problems regarding visas.
They can't just ask consideration for it. They'll be asking the Indonesian government to do such with 33's visa but with their history together with Israel, all I can say is that they're not in good terms and that's why there's nothing 33 and Tundra can do to this.
Let's just hope for the best for 33 and his team if ever they're qualified to go to Bali but that's much likely that they'll qualify. And if application of visa for 33 don't work, they'll have to look for another stand-in and I think that might be resolution as the stand-in of all time. LOL.  Grin
I don't know what will happen but I'm sure there will be the best solution for the problem.
Moreover, for now Esports is in a very superior phase in various countries including Indonesia and with the arrival of a big team like Tundra in Bali, Indonesia will be eagerly waiting and supported by most Indonesians who are Esports lovers.
And that best solution is gonna find them a stand-in. I think it was even Indonesia that has banned Steam so that wouldn't even be a greater consolation knowing that this is Steam/Valve event.

Anyways today Tundra will be playing against Gaimin Gladiators.
The odds are bigger on Tundra and even though the two teams are equally strong, my belief is always on Tundra's side.
Hopefully they can give satisfactory results.

Congratulations on winning that bet despite that GG lost this game, they're still now gonna go on Bali and at the same time, they are going to the The International assuring their slot. Well played and well done to them.
1519  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bybit is the next to exit Canada, stating regulatory reason on: June 01, 2023, 10:58:51 PM
Won't be surprising if there will be more even small exchanges that's based there in Canada to get out of their jurisdiction. When the big exchanges are struggling to comply to the policies that they have and to the compliance that they're requiring, there will be a domino effect.
If I remember correctly, Bitbuy claims that they are the first registered Canadian crypto exchange. Compared to other exchanges, they are quite small afaik. I think another scenario can also happen, where more exchanges become more regulated and comply with whatever the government tells them. At the end of the day, as long as the market exists, they will definitely try to take profit from that IMO.
Yeah, it's possible. While exchanges like ByBit gets out of the country, there will be the other companies that will think of what's left behind and they'll take that as an opportunity that they should just do whatever the regulators are asking for any compliance that they can do easily.

But yeah, if the risk and cost are not worth it, then P2P is probably the only option.
True and that's why for some reasons they're out while there's still a market that they can work with, this is for the other remaining exchanges be it big or small. It really depends on their approach and how they're being approached but on this case, when they feel the pressure and can't take the heat in the kitchen then they'll have to be out.

I feel bad for the Canadians that have found some comfort with these exchanges that's been out of their country because of their government's poor consideration with this. I think this has something to do with the truck drivers before that had their bank accounts frozen and the means of receiving their donations were true crypto. That's just a speculation and wild guess from me.
