That Chet and Victor showdown. Honestly, it's like that I've just watched two thin tall guys which is the actuality of it. Well, they're still young and there will be more muscle build up in the coming months for sure. I don't care about the result of their match as that was just a preseason game.
While Victor was able to play just after being draft, Chet took a year for him to start playing because he got injured last season even before the start of it.

Remember trading requires not just strategy, but discipline
That's right, it requires discipline too and even you have a lot of capital for trading but you have no patience. It's likely that you're just going to waste all of the money that you have. And this also applies to the new traders that have just been trying out to trade. Because many of them hurries a lot and think that trading is an easy game that they'll make money without the need to be patient. But it's all about being patient and you have to have that as in, a lot of it.

thats right, finding the best oportunity is all about patient and emotion control a trader cant succeed without these two, even more so those newbies that are still kinda greedy when it comes to making decision.
many thought its simple thing, everyone can become millionaire from trading, they don't know that its those big capital owner that make profit usually.
if there is any trader that become millionaire its because their discipline that is enormous as well as their capability of analyzing.
its not just putting order and gain profit, thats such massive understatement and minsunderstanding.
I wouldn't go that far thinking that I'll be one of those millionaires. I'm not just as good as they are but it's true that it's like the opportunity is endless in trading when you know how it works. I'm not belittling myself as I am also aiming that but not through trading but through investing in Bitcoin.
There's a similarity but trading is more active than holding and investing and that's why I'm moving forward to that as both of them requires a lot of patience.

1404  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble till old age or not on: October 09, 2023, 12:31:19 PM
Everyone who gambles are for the win and profit. If you intend to gamble and you're rich enough and you have no problem of losing then if that's the reason for you to gamble is totally for fun, that's what we've been hearing from the money but is kind of odd reasoning. Because if you ask someone why is he/she gambling, it's all about the money from the start and you'll be happily taking cash when you do so. And regardless of your age, nobody wants to gamble and just lose it without even saying that you want to make some win and money.
I will have to agree with what you have said, but then, its also very good to realize that gambling is actually not all about making the money and all that, it is actually very possible to gamble for fun and not all the money, there is absolutely nothing odd about this, gambling for fun does not mean you should not be happy when you win money, but it just means that when you lose money instead , you shouldn't see that as a problem .

Its like one thread i created on this board sometime ago, unfortunately, i cant go looking for the thread now since its really been a long time, one can have good fun while gambling, be merry and happy when you win, but when you lose, be as well happy for the fun you are having while gambling. putting money first in gambling will only lead to gambling irresponsibly which can lead to a lot of loses and addiction.
Well, we've got our own reasons and the majority are really for the profit no matter what it is. It all boils down that we don't want to lose but if we lose, that's it.
You can stick to that idea that you're for fun and you are happy either you lose or win and that's not the important thing why you gamble because you just enjoy every single game that you do.
1405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble till old age or not on: October 09, 2023, 10:08:36 AM
I really do not see anything bad about it though but I think it will be bad if at old age one is still gambling with the mindset of making wins, profit or ends meet rather than gambling for fun because it is expected that at such age, one should not be bothering themselves with such thought as it could affect their health in one way or the other. At such age, gambling should be done responsibly and for fun and not to the point of addiction. It is understandable that at such age, of one decides to gamble then it is to do away with idleness or boredom as to be active and lively catching fun with friends and family. So it could mean entertainment for the old aged.

1406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Gambling affect your relationship? on: October 09, 2023, 04:39:31 AM
It still depends on your partner if it accepts you. Gambling will only be a problem if you are already addicted to it like if you have been in debt and you already have no time for other things like work or family.
When you're not prioritizing your family anymore because of gambling, that's how things get bad. That is also the reason why many people sees the bad in gambling if it's not for these irresponsible gamblers.

I've seen a lot of married couples whose wife are okay with the gambling activities of their husband because their husbands can gamble responsibly. So it is not about the partner it is about how you gamble so that it won't affect yourself or people around you.
Me too, as long as they're providing their needs and their way of living isn't affected, there's no problem if they gamble as their partners are right their stoppage if they see something wrong is happening.
1407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lets discuss Poker on: October 08, 2023, 11:41:26 PM
but I still don't understand it myself, I'm not used to poker.
I'll give you a tip, watch those poker tournaments and that will give you an idea on how to play this game. It's not going to be easy in the beginning but it's enjoyable to watch until you learn from them. Also, if you've got your own smartphone or desktop or laptop, try to play those poker games online that are for free. From doing that, you'll understand the basics of it and how the game is being played on. And when you think that you're ready to play, try to get into poker tables online in casinos that you want to do it and try it out for your personal experience.

I think this is the easiest way to learn how to play poker, but still though, if order to get experienced, you really have to sit down and play with it with our non-professional players to get a feel of it. And I recently stumbled this thread recently: Some poker terminologies you may want to know.

And as far as I know, there are tournaments being held here in our community, sponsored by some casinos.

Like the Bitcointalk poker series #2 hosted by Betnomi run by yahoo62278.

But not sure if there will be the future, or maybe a different casino will sponsored once again.
Yes, there were some tournaments that were held but not anymore in the future with betnomi because they've just made an exit.

There is a big difference between live poker matches and online poker.  When you're at a real table in a casino or cardroom, you get the whole experience - checking out people's body language, hearing the chips clinking taking in the environment.  It's kinda like a social thing. Youre face-to-face with real opponents.  But online, it's just you staring at a screen with cartoon avatars and screennames.  The gameplay might be the same, but it lacks that human element and  some folks dig the convenience and faster pace of Internet poker but others miss that personal interaction.  Both have their advantages and disadvantages, so it comes down to personal preference. There's no right or wrong answer - just different strokes for different folks. But the thing is, if you're good at live poker, it doesn't necessarily mean you'll be good at online poker, and vice versa.
Yup, no doubt that in the real poker rooms the experience and ambiance is different from doing it on an online poker room. But you do you and wherever you're comfortable doing it as a beginner, you may just switch it from time to time when you think that you're ready to explore more with the other setting and setup of poker.
1408  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can change lives on: October 08, 2023, 08:51:11 PM
I'd just say to those people how I have experienced good things about Bitcoin but, it may or may not happen to them for some instances.
1. The price of Bitcoin really differs and many can't afford it at any rate.
2. The difference of Bitcoin's price from my experience and also to the person that I am saying could be encouraging but in reality, disappointing.
3. It all ends up with the same thoughts about regretting in the past, present and future. Most people are saying the same thing about not buying early.
1409  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I want to fulfill my mother's dream of building a house with Bitcoin. on: October 07, 2023, 09:21:46 PM
Your plan might sound optimistic for you and I don't want to encourage you because everyone has their own right to fulfill the dream of others especially our parents. But that plan of yours might not be enough, find a lot of ways to get the traditional way of funding yourself first like having a job and the salary there of yours will be used for funding your trades and as you've said, for investing Bitcoin. It may take a while but that's what you can do to build your foundation while trying to fulfill your mother's dream house.

2. Keep the $15,000 while doing other work that will yield the remaining money over a long period.
I am starting to see people in almost everywhere feeling that it's no use or they're wasting time if they'll just keeping it without earning from it. And thanks to those motivational and financial gurus who have been saying about "let your money work for you" thing.
I guess that really had contributed a lot to the decisions of many these days. We're not financially really good but we're realizing how tough life is and that's making us to do things that seems to be right in terms of handling finances.

Another good tip for people to learn and understand poker better is watching some poker streamers on twitch/kick or their videos on youtube.
Not only can you see them play but they often also explain their though process about why they do certain calls or folds, depending on the situation.
Yeah, I think that's much better if you are for the watching perspective to see how each individual like those streamers decide with good and ugly cards.

Streamer that I think are solid in having poker but still very likeable are Spraggy, Kevinmartin and Matt Staples.
There are also guys like Jamie Staples, AllinPav, Lex Veldhuis and so on but I don't like them too much because they always whine and complain a lot.
Of course there are MANY more but these are some of the biggest.
Although I am not into these guys but they seem to be good ones as you have suggested it. So, it's not just for him but also for everyone who's looking for reference on who are they going to watch and follow with their streams. This is such a good idea for those who are scared to try so start from being a watcher and from that perspective, absorb and understand what they're doing.

1413  Economy / Economics / Re: Is academic pursues enough to get incomes? on: October 06, 2023, 11:45:07 PM
not enough. The real fact is that those who have experience do not always come from the academy. They even have special skills such as being able to autodidactically understand the areas they are interested in. I think academics are enough to gather friends, but we have to hone our own skills even without an academy.
That's an exception and will depend to the employer. But what's sad on these days is that, we will never know from the company if they prefer someone with experience or higher degree. Maybe for them to have a low ball offer to their employees, they'll take those that don't have much academic achievement. And that's what they're trying to do and avoid those with such scholastic numbers because it tells how hard working they are a student but regardless of that, schools and offices are different from each other and someone's working ethic might change over time due to the environment of the company.

Looks like Puppey playing for Team SMG is for real. On gorgc's stream, it's seen that both MidOne and Puppey are in a private lobby. Not enough evidence but it's likely that they really are playing and practicing at this time. Maybe within the next few days we'll see them announce it officially. But it got me confused because Jaunuel's visa is approved as per his facebook post.
We've got a few days left until the start of the TI and talking about the prize pool, I bet that this isn't encouraging a lot of them but it's gonna be just their glory playing for it. Anyway, prize is still prize and that's money regardless of how low or high it is.

There are a lot of rumors circulating already that Puppey is the one playing at TI. But since Jaunuel got his visa approved then Team SMG goes to TI with him. There are still 5 days left before the TI and that is most likely enough to travel to Seattle.
Maybe that lobby was just a practice game or scrim with Team SMG and Team Secret. Jau's able to attend it and that feels good since he's the one with them since the qualifiers, I just don't know if it's the same with masaros.

There's really a huge difference in the prize pool compared to last year. It's a huge drop and I am pretty sure it will also lose interest among fans around the world. DOTA 2 is no longer the same. And I won't be surprised that even sponsors might also start moving away. Valve has to do something in this coming TI since the viewerships will determine its future.
Valve should just add more money on it. Remember that they've already done $1.6M+ as starter for this and it's still under $3M. They really done it wrong when it's too late for them to release items and they're not interesting anymore. The prince of Saudi did bought this time but not that much too.

I honestly think that the domain that you've got is totally a premium one, and having that said you already have the edge to be remembered by your current and potential future and repeat customers. I wonder how that royal reward will be distributed to the eligible ones if you're saying that it's for every player that's gonna be take a part on it. That's a lot of money but I am sure that the tiering and leveling that you've got for it won't be easy for the eligible ones. It's actually a good promo that you've got and it's interesting because it is the one that has caught my eye. Anyway, to those that are also interested on it, just check out their loyal rewards tab and all of the details are written there including the FAQ and terms and conditions.

Thanks batang -
In answer to your question about distributing it...
Obviously, the free 100/200 spins and deposit bonus can be found at most casinos (though perhaps not as many spins!)

But where we really start to shine is the 5-15% cashback on losses from Day 1
+ the $10,000 in tiered rewards
and
The lesser known $50 per referral (for those wanting a bit of extra cash!)
Thank you for explaining that part as I just want to know about how you're going to distribute that and more about the cash. While referral is also desirable by most that are focusing in affiliate marketing.

We also have plans for some pretty funky streaming promos!

Just making sure we can walk, before we try running!

Thanks
CC
Good luck on these plans of yours and hope they become successful and you're welcome.  Wink

Just watched the finals of 2022 Asian Games. It was China versus Mongolia and both teams were great. The high picks on this grand finals are Tidehunter and Dark Willow. There's the DW carry from Mongolia and then on the last game, it's like that Mongolia is about to win the game.
The top lane was about to destroy by Mongolia and out of nowhere the Tidehunter ravaged without any opposing heroes, that was a big mistake although it didn't do that much next as China was very careful before they take a clash. Then on the mid lane, on the 2nd tower of China(Dire). That's how the game turned and became in favor of them. It was a team wipe out and then on the 3rd tower of Mongolia(Radiant), they all bought back and batrider did the huge mistake of going in without his teammates yet although they bought back too but it was too early for the bat to get in. However, they were able to snatch a kill from China's Phantom Assassin and the same thing happened on China's 2nd attempt to go for tower push, they've killed that PA again. That snapfire + dark willow + PA hitters of China certainly brought a lot of physical damage and helped them to secure gold medal on this Asian games. It's so just fulfilling to see that Ame, somnus and Chalice get to play again.
