1541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Raccoin Crypto Mixer (USDT TRC-20 ONLY) [raccoin.co] on: May 02, 2023, 10:11:42 PM
Not quite sure what you are talking about at the end
I think you need to visit some other mixers and read what does letter of guarantee means. Maybe you're aware of that but you're just confused as it could be other terms in what you've known.
The guarantee letter is not the only method used by the various mixers, as some are content with using the "session code" or the "chips" method as Chipmixer used to do. I agree with you that those in charge of the mixer are required to know all these methods and the benefits of using them. The task is not easy at all since this is almost the only mixer who decided to work on altcoins after the failed attempt of TornadoCash.
This mixer is still in its starting stage, and it is good that they made this open channel discussion for the community to support the project and provide the required transparency. It is also an opportunity for those in charge of the project to deal with various details and maintain the development for the mixer.
True, they'll get to know more and understand what the market really needs and what they have to offer. It's actually good that there are these various types of method that we can see from different mixers that we can see in the community. With such having some open discussions and sharing of knowledge, it's a win-win for those who are genuinely operating their mixers but then with the authorities being strict on this matter. The operators should also take them on note because we don't want them to be out of service if they're helping us to remain anonymous with our transactions and stuff.
1542  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware of such ads on Instagram & Facebook! on: May 01, 2023, 07:48:14 PM
It's a total red flag because no one can do that but scammers that will try to fool those desperate folks that think it's very possible.

This is the part that irritates me about Mark Zuckerberg and how he runs his blue app company. There's so much infringements on the privacy of those who patronize Facebook. Yet, Zuckerberg doesn't give a hoot. It's not even as if he gives back to his subscribers like what YouTube and others do for their subscribers.

I once watched a gruelling session Zuckerberg had with the American congress and the brilliant senator who questioned him twisted the questions to trap Zuckerberg on the subject of privacy concerning his whereabouts and places he had visited but the Facebook CEO dodged them and that sounded funny. He didn't want anyone knowing places he had visited or where he lodged but wouldn't hesitate to expose where others visit or have been to.
It's the same with Google that gives no care to the welfare of their users when these scams keeps on appearing on their platforms. We can only report them but it's up to them if they'll take actions or not. We've seen a lot of it in the past and they only have banned it and eventually reopened it to the public just for these scams to reappear again and they do nothing against them.

1544  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which crypto wallet is better to take for a beginner? on: April 27, 2023, 06:16:01 PM
Which crypto wallet is better to take for a beginner?
When I was a newbie, I was too confident with web wallets because they're easy to navigate and thought that they're one of the best. But thank you to the other members that were more knowledgeable and suggested what one should consider upon choosing a wallet. So, it should be Electrum as one of the best candidate as the wallet for Bitcoin-only holding for beginners. Well, in general of a crypto wallet then there goes the other desktop and multicurrency wallets but apart from that, the next that should count are the hardware wallets.

Now there are many varieties, there are screens, there are ordinary ones, there are also cheap and expensive ones, how to choose and what to rely on?
I don't understand why there has to be the cheap and expensive ones, maybe you're reiterating the hardware wallets on this one. They're not cheap nor expensive compared to the security that it will provide to your assets.
1545  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the pet industry recession-proof? on: April 26, 2023, 10:46:22 PM
It is true that gen z likes more with pets and you know what I've observed with most gen z's today? They'll tell that they don't need someone to get with as long as they've got their pets with them. Others don't even want to have their own baby because their baby is their pet.
That's a true thing these days and some people are thinking of shifting into that thinking and that's why this type of business is booming. But while in the height of covid pandemic, every business has been down and that has included this industry.

The veterinary doctors have to raise their fees because the cost of items have skyrocketed. It's terrible but then it is what it is.
IMHO, all types of expertise from these doctors have raised their professional fees. As in everything now has increased, they're all saying that it's because of the inflation but that does that really make sense at all? Some have doubled the fee and others nearly tripled. Well, talking about how lucrative it is then it is.
1546  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: April 25, 2023, 11:14:23 PM
Is this even possible?

Am guessing when it comes to sporting events AI will make informed selections based on historical data which any pundit out there will probably use when trying to make on the same pick, so technically all what AI is doing is using existing numbers that are available to all..
Btw I don't think these can ever predict an outcome of an upset because the numbers will never agree so this AI thing and gambling does work maybe with casino games might have some luck there.
That's what actually AI will respond with these set of questions that are being thrown to it. If the answer to a question is about like predicting the future outcome of a match or an answer that needs some opinion, it will answer that it cannot answer wholly and will only base on the data that's given it can find over the internet. With even gpt4, I guess that it's still having time in learning how to give some predictions related to gambling and sportsbetting.
1547  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Help] Newbie here. Is this website safe to use? on: April 24, 2023, 11:03:07 PM
Hello, everyone,

I am new to Bitcoin, and I recently received a Bitcoin transaction on get. The transaction seems legitimate, because the customer of mine showed me a transaction receipt from an ATM and my wallet address written on it, but they require me to log in their website, create and account and verify my ID & SSN in order to claim the bitcoin to my wallet, which makes no sense to me smh. I am not sure if the website is trustworthy and i found nearly NADA info regarding it over the web. I am hesitant to accept the transaction until I know for sure that the platform is legit.

Has anyone used getcoinsmarket.com before? Is it a reliable platform for Bitcoin transactions? How can I verify the authenticity of the transaction and ensure that it is not a scam?

I would appreciate any guidance or advice on this matter. I am new to the world of Bitcoin, and I want to ensure that I am using a safe and secure platform.

Thank you in advance for your help!
It is giving me the feels that it's a scam. Why would someone will require you to visit a website when you've just made a transaction? What's done is done and there's no need for anyone to reach out to you or asking you to login some info. From that part, as you've said that it doesn't really make sense at all. I don't know the website but if that customer of yours has shown you some receipt then you better verify the transaction from looking at the network by entering that address of yours and see if there's really a transaction that has been made. It may be simple as it is but you've said that you're still new and everyone is going to be patient to you. Actually, how did your customer know that it's your bitcoin wallet address? Is it posted in your store somewhere or there's the qr code? Do you mind posting your bitcoin wallet address for us to check the transaction?
1548  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can i make 100 $ daily from online casinos on: April 22, 2023, 01:07:03 AM
It's been awhile I try daily to make profit

Stake casino mostly mines

But it take back profit.. I have 2k balance.. is there method

To get 100 $ per day
Why not get back to the old way of yours when you're making a profit daily? Getting $100 per day with that $2k balance might even not enough. There will be those risk takers that will tell you to do martingale with that money but that's going to be a painful experience for you and no one wants that to happen. There can be other ways for you to guarantee $100 a day but it's up to your knowledge and $2k capital might or might not be enough. It can be from different sources of what you do and activities but capitalizing that entirely with gambling, everyone will just tell you that it's unlikely because the difficulty level is quite high. And for your safety, with this such post is like a honeypot to the eyes of the scammers. They'll lie and might approach you saying that this is going to be easy to them with some arbitrary strategies and things that they do but then, they'll ask you money and deposit it to them.
1549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Geeky crypto thief, 32, jailed for hiding $3billion in Bitcoin in popcorn tin on: April 20, 2023, 11:02:44 PM
That guy just proved the meme that we're seeing on socials about claiming that he's got bitcoin so b***** comes to him and make him as their man.

This guy is a f**king moron, $3 billion dollars is a whole lots money, he could have done better things with this money rather than sleeping around with girls, does this means he had no life goals, or maybe business ideas or something?
Really pathetic and I think he clearly deserves whatever punishment that he's meeted with.
Whether he did good business with that money and not after the girls, it still going to end up with the criminal act of swindling that lot of money. In the first place, stealing money and using it for whichever purpose (good or bad) that he may come up with is a no-no.
1550  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Duelbits won't send me withdraw amount on: April 19, 2023, 11:15:00 PM
It is now becoming a trend to accuse any gambling website for anything that looks fine to the gambler. This OP doesn't really look like he's 18+, else he would have contacted their support and even if no response would have been received, he could have gone for email. This looks like gamblers are losing patience day by day and want instant resolutions, or they will accuse the gambling firm for 'not paying them their winnings on time'.
That's because the community has been of a big help to those that have problems in withdrawals and some of those "victims" are taking advantage and abusing it. As far as the information gathered, it's said that it's not the actual casino's (Duelbits) problem but it's their provider.
And with such problems of withdrawal delay, he's best to approach and just talk to them since they're approachable and very reputable that are not going to devastate the current reputation that they currently have. There's no update on their thread and from OP so I'm guessing that they're into negotiation and hopefully it ends up as a solved concern.
1551  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: April 17, 2023, 11:22:34 PM
Liquid won very easy today, playing super clean DOTA and I don't see anybody winning against Liquid except GG.
I agree, only with GG they've lost and it is giving me this feeling that this roster of Team Liquid is having a vibes of old Team Secret rotation and by how they play.

OG lost first map, Beastcoast tempo was just a bit too much combined with Chen pick. Now I rooting for them as well since I have over 2.5 maps in this one and then later on 2:0 for GG.
OG just keeps on losing. They've lost to both SA teams, EG and Beastcoast. Well, I'm starting to lose the enthusiasm on this roster as they're not the old roster that we used to watch with OG. It's a different playstyle but I'm sure n0tail is helping them with their plays but it is just so different.
1552  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: April 16, 2023, 11:45:54 PM
All of these reminders are for real until someone knocks himself off and then forgets all of it. Like what has been said that these reminders are easier said than done. We still see a lot of gamblers falling short on controlling themselves because it ain't easy.

yes, it can be controlled depending on how strong-willed is the person.  Mostly gamblers losses control the reason why they got addicted on gambling.
And that's the hardest part of being a gambler. That can be said that it can be controlled by any means that we've got but then, when a gambler losses his mind on his bets, that's when the struggle starts.
1553  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you survived during covid19 ? on: April 14, 2023, 10:46:16 PM
I'm scared as shit during the pandemic because I thought that I've contained it and not just me but almost all of us in my family. It's hard, really and that's why I have compassion and my thoughts and prayers are with those that have their relatives passed away because of this disease. Now, I've just watched in the news that the WHO is starting to think and release a statement that there should be no worries anymore about the covid19 as it's like a simple flu. I guess our immune systems have been trained and strengthen with the fear that it has given us. Whilst in the Japan, they're also thinking of the same statement so that the tourism will come again and the same goes to Hong Kong.
We're about to get back now to the old way of living but it's no longer mandatory to wear masks and vaccinations and we're already on our own.
1554  Economy / Economics / Re: Invest your money wisely - another lesson, Techie tries to suicide. on: April 13, 2023, 11:02:31 PM
Apparently, the person in the story is newbie who flouted the laws of investment especially crypto investment. He even used loan, his mother's pension and other moneis he knew he couldn't afford to lose and poured it into crypto. I can bet that the so-called crypto he invested the money into was a shit coin.
When he's started to ask loan from whoever it was, that's when it's gotta be the sign that he's doing a wrong thing. He's hyped I guess for that project which he's invested in. This what happens when someone invests to emotion and not with knowledge first.

Well, I am glad he didn't died. People must educate themseves about cryptocurrency before delving into it. It is high risk. Avoid using money you cannot afford to lose. Join a community and ask all the questions you have about it before you invest. And if it is not bitcoin tread with extreme caution.
That's what we can be happy for him but then I wish him to recover from this devastating experience because it's too much for him. And that has affected his mind with the mistakes that he has committed. It's not the end of the line and he can always start again, now he should be responsible to pay his debt first before having another a good start.
1555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much effort should one put into Bitcoin investments on: April 12, 2023, 11:11:04 PM
Bitcoin investments is a very promising investment which although seems to be of long term returns.most persons are not patient enough to wait till the value of Bitcoins rise significantly .
Soo in general how much should one invest in Bitcoin should it be "how much you can easily invest without stress " or "as much as you can invest at all cost"
Although I am aware it isn't a do or die affair
Easy, only what you can afford to lose. We'll always get back to that short phrase about investing tip in bitcoin. One must invest in bitcoin with the amount that he's not going to be stressful and okay to be seeing it at a dramatic loss. Because of the market isn't stable and it's always have been volatile, if you ever invest on it then you have to make sure that you're not just here for the quick profits and you're willing to wait as if you're waiting for something big and that might take a long time. We holders have learned that the hardest ways but you know what's best with that? It's been rewarding and that every single year of waiting is definitely worth the wait as if you're waiting for the love of your life.  Wink
1556  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't invest money you can't afford to lose out of greed. on: April 10, 2023, 11:00:48 PM
The best thing that newbies can do is to invest only what they can afford to lose. The market is too ruthless with everyone and mostly with them. They'll never notice that they're already out of money if they chosen a wrong crypto to invest and that's why they need to be picky and also DYOR before committing to a project. Investing to bitcoin only is one of the best choices but we can't stop people from choosing other projects that they think will make them profitable. It's not about to become rich within the bull run but about taking advantage of the situation because it only comes every after 4 years or so.
1557  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale strategy in casinos on: April 08, 2023, 09:29:27 PM
There are a lot of topics and discussions about martingale not only here in Bitcointalk but on other platforms but all of the discussion points to martingale as a useless strategy, you can use it for entertainment just to see if it's your lucky session you've used the word sometimes and most of the times, in favor of the casino, it will continue like that if you continue using martingale in the end your losses is bigger than your winning, if you're not a whale with big bankroll forget the idea of using martingale but if you want to enjoy playing then, by all means, do it, just don't overdo it, use only amount you allocate maybe up to 10 rolls based on your calculation is already good
Yeah, true that there have been countless threads that's been made asking about this strategy and the reality of this is that this isn't going to be a strong and stable strategy. You can do it for fun and that's leave it there but do not expect that you'll be making thousands on this or even a hundred. The risk is high and if you're a rich person, you can do this strategy and see how high you may go until you run out of funds and kept on trying your luck using martingale. If you just happen to see the strategy OP recently and as you've tried it and still thinking that the result can be reversed based on the results that you've got, don't think about it. Do it for fun and you'll never be bothered, only if you have a lot of spare money doing this.
1558  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Whitepaper Hidden in every Modern Copy of macOS on: April 06, 2023, 01:28:01 PM
I also saw this one and I thought that no one made the thread yet but it's all good.

It's probably just one or few engineer who happen to be Bitcoin enthusiast use Bitcoin Whitepaper as reference/example PDF file.
I agree that it's a work of someone who has passion for bitcoin that worked for them. But his coworkers probably didn't noticed it until someone did. It's also even likely that he's the one to open it up since no one has ever noticed it all over these years.
1559  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I think it's time to leave Binance, any alternatives? on: April 04, 2023, 11:14:20 PM
I've been using Binance and thinking just as you, maybe the same choice as your with Coinbase but I'd probably also go with Kucoin and the others. You know, testing all of them until I think I've find the greatly alternative for Binance. But as much as I don't want to ship from exchange to exchange, I do hope that they'll fix their mess soon. It's expected that they'll go come crazy asking for new documents and I've just done it again early this year and I've got no effin' question on them since a couple of my funds sitting on there. It's a good discussion that we're sharing whatever happens to them, we find a new the same exchange or a better one.
1560  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Study Bitcoin on: April 03, 2023, 01:14:26 AM
The image is very impressive, powerful, and commendable. It sure have sent a message to those who don't know about Bitcoin and the powerful people in charge of the banks that they've got something to be worried about.
I'll like something like this to be replicated in every major cities in USA, UK, EU, and the BRICS countries. Let's take up this challenge.
A challenge for every region, that would be great and just as the guys did it, whoever will do it has got the balls as well but I'm not up to this challenge. I might be taken down physically and things in my place have to be done physically to put that mental fear into those that might attempt to do something like this.

Bitcoin is decentralized currency and we can do anything without need to ask a permission from the third party, I think that's what most of people understand. It's true in the definition, but it's wrong when we talk about the practice. Many people hold their coins on a centralized exchange, they can't use their coins to spend it because no offline stores accept it, they need to convert to fiat where their money will be controlled by banks etc.

It's not about study Bitcoin, but also study to cashout without centralization.
Having the latter part, it's understandable that cashing out really have to be done in the form of fiat and we have to go through a lot of centralized exchanges to do that. But that doesn't limit our choices to go with decentralized ways but, they're just few and hopefully that will also part of the future that shall be nourished and improve. But then, having it literally, those were the best words to have them introduced bitcoin and be curious about anything.

The message is clear, study BTC and do not believe all of the bullshit the banks and government tell you about it, they are liars who have noticed that their fractional reserve system they have been using to make money would be under serious threat if BTC continues to grow massively in this way. Now they spread lies and try to implement tough regulations. They know centralized exchanges isn't BTC, but whenever one of them collapses, they find a way to drag BTC into it, they want everyone to use centralized exchanges, so they can severely regulate them and know everyone who sells and buys BTC, they hate self custody, don't believe them, hold your BTC's yourself.
That's so true, whenever it's about illegal activities, matters and transactions. All of the blame and suspecting goes to bitcoin and they all devalue it. It's because they're covering something that lies within their centralized system that's being defeated knowingly by bitcoin.
