Nice work. Attic fans like these are fairly common in warmer climates. They work well and are cheaper than central a/c.
1662  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 10 chips avalon module board fired up, help! <3 picture uploaded> on: May 07, 2013, 01:07:37 AM
Good to know. I'll make sure to oversize the psu when I build mine.
1663  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [WTS] 500+ Avalon Chips - any amount on: May 06, 2013, 04:28:07 PM
Definitely interested. I'm already in that group buy so it would be easy, I think. PM sent.
1664  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike - 16 chip ASIC Open Source Board - Preliminary on: May 06, 2013, 06:47:19 AM
My tentative plans were to offer 6 products:
Board Only and Board w/Parts kit.

For each,

Klondike 1  - thumb size
Klondike 16 - 10x10cm
Klondike 64 - 20x20cm

I like this idea very much. I would likely order a number of each.

So you're saying we should contact the BBB then. Ok.
1666  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-05-03 HuffPo: Trump SoHo Condo Selling For $1.9M In Bitcoin Only on: May 04, 2013, 11:24:42 PM
Yeah that doesn't sound right. $1.9M for a one bedroom timeshare?
1667  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will PayPal really use bitcoin? on: May 04, 2013, 09:02:51 PM
I don't see Paypal adopting bitcoin either.

What we really need is an Ebay alternative that uses bitcoins. A lot of people don't like Ebay (myself included) but begrudgingly endure it because they have basically cornered the internet auction market. There is a huge opportunity there.

I enjoy your analysis, aerpo. Ignore the critics--if you met some of these folks in person I am doubly sure you would not care about their opinion.

Can't wait for Kraken beta to be over at this point. Gox manipulators are getting so annoying.
1670  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] KRAKEN.COM - US-based Exchange w/ Margin Trading on: May 03, 2013, 06:51:18 PM
Looks great. Can't wait for the launch.

I also got a chuckle out of the FAQ page. Heehee.
1671  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Downgraded my shipping?! on: May 03, 2013, 03:43:04 AM
anyone who would do any preorder with them now has got to be crazy.

Agreed. This shipping news seems like a deliberate cash grab.

Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty.

Patience is a virtue in this market.

sounds really dangerous to do this kind of thing...

i would expect that when Mr.M start pumping, he won't be able to buy back 1/3 of his stash. and there's a really good chance someone throws in a few million and totaly fuckes up his plan.

Now you know why people have gambling problems.
1676  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: May 02, 2013, 04:24:39 PM
It's fun to watch. Set the market depth chart for 1 min and observe.

Fake sell walls go up, pushes price down a bit, fake walls go down. Put new wall(s) at slightly lower price and repeat. Didn't work? Try a different sized wall, or multiple tiny sells all at once to force a cascading effect.
1677  Economy / Speculation / Re: PRICE CRASH = SELL NOW REDUCE LOSS on: May 02, 2013, 04:14:11 PM
We oughta make a manipulation post for the newbs who are getting fleeced. It's only fair.
1678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we want to work with money regulators, or keep Bitcoin unregulated? on: May 01, 2013, 11:53:18 PM
The bitcoin community will self-regulate.

DOS attacks? The community learned quickly to hold tight when they happen, and they've already stopped.

Wallet theft? Don't store your damn wallet on a remote server. Learn to secure it properly.

Money laundering/criminal activity? Please, you get that with every currency. You cannot stop black markets from existing.

It is not the regulators' jobs to protect us from any of this. It is our job.

Also remember: If you give them an inch, they will take a mile.

hooray for cheap coins!
1680  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Should I cancel my BFL 4/2/2013 Order? on: May 01, 2013, 04:43:18 AM
But there's a flaw in your plan bassclef (and PuertoRetard, Smoothie and Frizz) ... I settled up with Runeks more than a week ago.  Awww, too bad.  Guess you guys really are dumbasses.  Here's what I propose, you three idiots get a scammer tag for posting verifiable false information for the past several days, trying to scam people into believing that BFL is a scam, when in truth, you folks are just lying sacks of shit.

I see that this bully never grew up. Does name calling really make you feel better about yourself?

When your units ship as promised you won't have to deal with us anymore. In the meantime, I suggest you take a close look at how you carry yourself in public and how it affects your company's image. Then think about how it affects your customers, and finally think about how it affects yourself.
