1601  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: butterflylabs Cheater on: June 07, 2013, 11:07:09 PM
BFL has caught up on Jalepeno orders up to July 31st. Is there any news on when they will start shipping the other higher hashing miners?

Has anyone posted about actually receiving their units?
1602  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: June 04, 2013, 10:08:20 PM
Nope, I'm pretty sure you did your damndest to burn EVERY possible bridge with them that you could. Never at any point have you discontinued your constant stream of diarrhea of the mouth, even taking out ads trolling BFL. Your half-assed "apologies" are always back-handed, and never actually admit any wrongdoing on your part. You're a little child throwing a temper tantrum, and you're incapable of recognizing that you're ACTUALLY in the wrong. Just willing to scream the occasional "SORRY THAT YOU ARE SUCH A BITCH!" at your mommy, and calling that an apology. You've gone back and deleted/edited many of your posts that expose you as a twat, so how is ANYBODY supposed to trust the "history of the dispute" after all your revisionism?

You continue to be a douche, you've allegedly tried to drag multiple legal entities into your dispute as well. Why on god's green earth would they ever consider reinstating an order for you? So that you have ammo to file more claims against them? You just want to get some of your money back into their hands, so that you can go crying to the courts and say "See, look here, they have my money!"

Not gonna happen. You got your refund. The deal is moot. The courts don't care about the pickle you've put yourself in, and neither does anybody else. You're little more than an annoying fly buzzing at the screen at this point, and I'm willing to bet that they're more than happy to let you stay outside.

Some people never learn.

Whenever I read a post filled with vitriol and ad hominem attacks like this one, it speaks much more to the poster's character than the one he is attempting to describe.
1603  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Ann] US based Avalon ASIC chips and assembly: 1,120 remaining on: June 04, 2013, 04:01:33 PM
Is there an option to buy a "Fully unassembled unit"? Something for the hardcore DIY-stencil-cutting-oven-reflow types that don't want to bother organizing PCB fabrication themselves.

This is what I'm interested in. Bkkcoins has already stated he would be selling DIY kits with all the parts/empty boards ready to go (minus chips of course). Heat sinks are a question mark for me--I'm not sure who is selling them besides steamboat, but I'm going to need a bunch.

Just a shaking of the tree... watch for that low-hanging fruit.
1605  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL ASIC STATUS 5/29 on: May 30, 2013, 05:43:35 PM
Did they redesign the board? The fan headers in the most recent pic look to be different. The second fan appears to be plugged in somewhere else. Maybe I'm not seeing it right.
1606  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL upgrade now offered on 5ghz orders.(screenshot) YES, IT'S BACK!! on: May 29, 2013, 09:41:16 PM

And there you have it. Firms don't do silent partnerships, because they can't. Not all VCs work for firms. Regardless, I don't have a dog in this fight, no idea if they do or do not have any outside investment happening or not, my beef was with you speaking in absolutes. My issue was with your statements. You said "If it is good news, they always announce the name of the firm or individual and the amount that was invested." which is patently false.

The discussion was about whether a VC firm invested in BFL like they claimed.

Thanks for agreeing with me.

I trimmed out all the nonsensical haterade and insultifying you do. It isn't really relevant.
Did they say the VC was through a firm? You said "firm". I don't see where they said "firm". Actually, you said "Firm or individual" and then LATER said "Firm" and are now acting like that was your position the entire time.

You have a tendency discard any information that proves you to be wrong/lying, and post things entirely out of context; so I'll just go ahead and put that back for you. Wink

Jesus, let it go man. Nobody wants to hear you two argue. Get a room.
1607  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Butterflylabs Huge SCAM on: May 29, 2013, 04:52:28 PM
I think many of us are in the same boat...get a refund or stick it out. Given the lack of ASIC options..I am still holding out.
I'm holding out too.  The way I see it, we're early adopters, taking a huge risk.  The bigger the risk, the bigger the reward.  Also the bigger the loss.  You gotta play to win.  Be a part of history. or sit on your a$$ and watch.  Secure some wealth for your family, tough times ahead.

So get a refund, take your money and invest in one of the other options. Those who get to market first, win. BFL is going to be last to market.
1608  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Butterflylabs Huge SCAM on: May 28, 2013, 10:41:23 PM
If I give BFL my money then I expect a product that I have paid for. I don't really care much what are they doing with my money as long as I see that I'll eventualy got what I paid for.

This is part of the problem. People throw money at this company with no apparent care of how their business is run, as long as they eventually get a product. How long is "eventually" supposed to be? That logic doesn't really hold up if you never receive it, or it's worthless to mine with when you do. A cursory glance at day-to-day operations over there indicates that they are wasting (or embezzling) more of your money rather than using it to develop a product. They don't even have properly working prototypes for most of their products after ONE YEAR.

More importantly, all customers, past present & future, should take an interest in the man behind BFL, Sonny Vleisedes, who is a convicted felon.

Also look up Sonny's father, James Ray Houston (aka The Sliver King), failed crooked politician and creator of the great Laissez Faire City, a Costa Rican long con that eventually failed, but not before he embezzled away mountains of cash.
1609  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Butterflylabs Huge SCAM on: May 28, 2013, 04:00:37 PM
Am I the only person who thinks it's wrong to sell a product that doesn't exist?
No, you certainly are not. Scam or not, given all of the red flags it's hard to imagine how so many people bought into this nonsense.

It's not really that surprising. Con artists exploit basic human emotions... in this case, greed.
1610  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL upgrade now offered on 5ghz orders.(screenshot) on: May 28, 2013, 04:10:43 AM
If this was a scam/con BFL would be long gone by now, cashing out at the peak around new year already, close to the Avalon release. Unless you use the word "scam" to point out that the product design draws more power than initially stated in the features. I'm more worried the project will fail in ways so we all get refunded (my order was placed in early October).

The answer is that a long con is more profitable. Why would they cash out at the peak when millions in preorders are still pouring in? It also gives more time for them to squirrel money away if and when the ship starts sinking. Sonny has plenty of experience doing this, given his criminal history and experience in moving millions of dollars between bank accounts, profits of his multi-year mail order scam. Sonny's dad and his Laissez Faire City followed a similar path to destruction: It was semi-successful and yes, it existed and people lived there, but he embezzled away huge amounts of money according the audit. I think the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree, in this case.

I'd contribute. I'm tired of seeing such incompetence (at best) or pure lies (at worst) take so many people for a ride.
1612  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: May 27, 2013, 06:35:50 PM
Can we please stop feeding the trolls, please.
1613  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: May 26, 2013, 02:49:20 AM
Sorry Xian, it seems your thread has been taken over by the sockpuppet army. Roll Eyes

Don't worry, it's pretty obvious that's what's going on. They're only whittlng away at what's left of BFL's already horrible reputation.
1614  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: May 25, 2013, 09:39:07 PM
A more apt analogy:

You pay in advance entrance fee to a club...

Club turns out to be an empty warehouse filled with fans...

Bouncer threatens you for warning others about the club.
1615  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: May 25, 2013, 05:11:56 PM
This is not about Xian (although Endlessa would like you to believe it is, now that he's taken out ads against BFL)...

It's about BFL, their shady CEO and equally as shady business practices.
1616  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: May 25, 2013, 03:39:38 AM
Apparently you can now upgrade your jalapeņo by 2GH for an additional $100.

Nope, no cash flow problems.

How about

Banger in the Mouth

Or if that's too suggestive...

Sausage in the Mouth

Kidding Smiley Also a penny to the person who gets the reference.

I actually thought of a good one earlier: Haute Dog

Bulls on Bitstamp are shifting a gear up.

And the other exchanges are right behind.
