Economy / Computer hardware / WTS: Corsair HX1000 PSU

Hi guys, I've got a Corsair HX1000 for sale. It was used to power my watercooled mining rig for a few months. The HX1000 is unique in the Corsair line as it's actually a dual 750w unit, being identical to the Thermaltake Toughpower series 1500w ( see here). I have personally run this 24/7 at 1300w for over a month with no problems. A few times I took it to 1450w before I undervolted my cards, so I can personally attest to this PSU's hidden greatness Unit comes with original box and cables, and I'll even throw in a 2-foot 14AWG power cord. I'll have pictures of the actual unit up tomorrow if anyone wants to see it. Asking $100 equivalent in BTC plus shipping. Escrow accepted of course, but I have solid feedback if you want a quick transaction.

They'll be back as soon there is some green on the daily, shouting "CCMF".
I keep seeing this 'CCMF' and I still have no idea what it means. Google suggests it is Community Concern for Mental Fragility, which seems about right. It actually stands for Community College Mental Fortitude.

+1 OP
I also suspect that it's the bottom because when it fell down to 608$ in stamp I got a feeling of "maybe I should sell some coins for quick free money". Last time I got this feeling and almost sold my coins was when pirate40 defaulted and it dropped from 14$ to 8$. I was too lazy to sell and boy how I did right.
When you get scared, you should buy. In December when the price crashed to ~$491 I almost sold. I was watching the drops, my heart was beating out of my chest, and I was sweating something fierce. Instead I shut the computer off, turned on some good TV and bought the next morning. Good decision.

Where is it smart to buy?
Bitstamp and Coinbase, I'd say. I like Coinbase. I'm pretty new but could someone tell me why is btc-e always a little cheaper than Coinbase? I am signed up at both but just trying to understand. Is it because one btc-e is an exchange? But what exactly makes it "cheaper"? Yes, BTC-E is a European exchange. They usually deal in larger amounts via wire transfer from your bank. Coinbase is great for US customers as you can hook up your bank and do ACH transfers (like when you get a direct deposit of your paycheck) so while they are not technically an exchange, they buy and sell but at a small premium. It's probably the easiest place a US-based customer can get bitcoins.

I sold bitcoin and invested fiat with his company.
Which is exactly what he wants. He is a salesman, and a good one. He sees digital currencies as a threat. I get his e-newsletter. The title of a recent one was something like "our new digital offerings." I believe he is principled but he's also looking out for his own interests.

Don't think we're out of the bear market yet, but at least for the next few days I can see us regaining a bit of ground. Bid/ask on stamp looks extremely good, when viewed over a 1 week histogram.
A quick look at the 10 day shows a that if we don't revisit sub 650 (640?) we may be primed for a trend reversal. If we do, however, the downtrend will have more more strength.

Are you saying big money cashed out??
No, quite the contrary. The smart ones are in it for the long haul. You won't be getting their coins, that's for sure. The coins you're getting now are the folks who bought in recently, or who don't properly understand Bitcoin, or are fearful of its long-term viability. ye, I agree it seems there's quite many people saying price will go high but very few seem to actually believe it Assuming my assessment is valid it's inevitable for the price to go high .... long term. I have my money where my mouth is and am not planning to sell any unless I need the money and to diversify a bit I guess after the following growth spurt (although i really don't want to). Similar situation here... I've cashed out very little since I've been accumulating, but plan to recoup my initial investment later this year whether the price is right or not. I just need to sleep better. That and I can realize a lower long term capital gains tax rate by waiting.

It may happen, it may not. I think it probably will, simple supply and demand tells us this. Bitcoin behaves very unpredictably so a huge bull market may be days, weeks or even years away.

I wasn't an active member in April/May, but I have read over the posts from the main thread at that time. I did not see the despair and confusion and trolling that I see now. I saw people reasonably excited about the fact that bitcoin was able to make it into another large growth curve for the first time in a couple of years. I saw people predicting $30, but that was almost 3 times higher than the year started. I do not remember reading anything much about attacks and the death of bitcoin or even the death of exchanges.
I was around then, and I'll just say that most of the fun has been sucked out of this forum. Sure there was panic, but not at the level and not in the style that you see today. Think about this for a minute: Last year the entire trading engine of MtGox, then the only exchange in town, lagged to hell and STOPPED when there was any significant trading activity. People lost money and it crashed the market multiple times. In my view, that was worse than what we have today, which is an annoying technical blip in the radar in comparison, and the community took it with aplomb. Think what they would do today with that news. Now that Bitcoin means big money, many of the smart, early speculators who saw the true potential of Bitcoin are gone. Instead we now have average Chicken Littles clogging up the forums, desperate to get their hands on cheap coins, fearful that time and price is going to pass them by. It's pretty much an echo chamber of trolls, sock puppets, psychological manipulation and people talking their books. There is some good analysis in here, but it's hard to find, and even harder to trust.

Don't know about you, guys, but I am going to have some fresh fiat on Stamp tomorrow, or the day after. This is too good an opportunity to miss out on! The fear is palpable. Bitcoin will spring back just like it always has, and the ones who allowed themselves to get manipulated into selling will regret it. Guess what, you don't have to fall for it.

Wow, I have been following this thread for a while now, I think I am going to stop. Seriously, for every one legitimate remark, there are hundreds others that do nothing but obfuscate reality and regurgitate media frenzy.
This thread now resembles the cesspools that are the Baby-Pips or ForexFactory forums in the way disinformation is spread based of half-truths and delivered with so much emotional baggage, you'd think the authors are packing for a trip to Mars (or the Moon right?).
Anyways, I digress - enjoy the feces flinging, if you are into that kind of thing.
Employ liberal use of the ignore button and watch the forum turn to italics during bad news. It's an easy way to call the bottoms.
