If any of you fellas need some extra parts for the task I have a slew of em. Spare no expense...
I've been thinking about putting together K16 part kits but there's probably not many people building them at the moment. It would include everything on the K16 parts list except the pcb board, Avalon ASIC chip and the PIC controller.

So after 157 pages is there a working Klondike available? It's a bit sad to see this Open Source Board fail.
I believe there is but the boards cannot be chained together yet. If the price is right on Avalon's firesale gen1 chips, and if there are enough available, this project may get new life.

I don't want to sound pessimistic but I got a feeling that we will never see our orders or money and I hope Im wrong. I hope you're wrong too. It's not like he'd stand to gain a lot by running with our money, especially since he worked so tirelessly on this project for months. My guess is that he's taking some time for himself. That's totally fine by me, however I'd eventually like at least a partial refund. His sudden disappearance is uncharacteristic, and in that regard I worry about his safety. He was checking in regularly, then poof, gone. He hasn't even logged in since his last message.

I got a response from PayPal that they have created a non-delivery claim and are awaiting a response from BFL. I can't imagine BFL will rush to respond to an e-mail from anyone, including PayPal. Fingers Crosssed! Since you make 2 approach to Paypal, then we can't know which one create the dispute. By the way, when did you paid the order(my guess is arround 45 days)? Order was paid in late march. Dispute filed through web site was rejected. Nothing new yet. Try calling. I've had them file a claim beyond 45 days by talking to a real person in disputes. Just politely explain the situation and they might make an exception.

I received a "buy order imminent" email on Sunday night, when the EMA was about to cross into green territory. No buy order was executed, however, and I see the short EMA has been above the long for a few days, indicating that it should have bought.
I trade on Bitstamp and have had no connectivity issues that I know of. Has this happened to anyone else?
Has the EMA crossed the threshold you have set? If so, it should have traded. Yes, it looks like it has. My settings are similar to the defaults, and according to mine (and the default 10/21) we should be long, correct?

So Yifu has screwed us out of yet another week? I thought zefir or someone said all the Avalon chips were shipped?
-MarkM-
The known orders both before and after SB batches 1 and 2 have been marked as shipped from Avalon last week. When Zefir receives his batches, SB shouldn't be far behind, maybe a few days. ragingazn's group buy just got refunded. Steamboat's batch one was about a week later, so that's good news.

couple question fellow bot trader
do i need to run this bot 24/7. how long did your bot make any transaction, right now my bot running a day without activity and using recommended setting from pablo
If I may... Yes, run the bot 24/7. It won't buy or sell unless it identifies a trend. So far mine's run for 24 hours with 2 trades. It correctly bought into the recent uptick, so just let it do its thing

One more thing to Bassclef: how many chips do you have total? the original spreadsheet is incorrect it seems. Sorry about that. I meant to post this before. Please update it with correct info using the links provided. 70 chips from Todamont https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=177994.msg2858646#msg285864640 chips from Enigma81 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=177994.msg2874356#msg2874356540 from Bicknellski https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=177994.msg2894996#msg2894996170 from Egon https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=177994.msg2937894#msg2937894And 95 from my original order for a total of 915 chips. I have parts and boards ordered for many K16s, most of which I obtained at bulk prices and most non-refundable. I'm also not paying for assembly, which by my calculations is nearly 50% of the cost (maybe a bit less, I don't have the numbers in front of me now, but it's significant and part of the reason I chose to build them locally). So regarding ROI I'm more insulated than most. If I knew there existed a certainty that I could pick up cheaper chips on the second hand market I'd vote yes for a refund, no problem. The problem is that I don't know if Yifu will offer them to the public or simply sell the excess inventory out the back door. And he's offering refunds for all orders before June 1st, so anyone in their right mind won't sell an early order here for half price if they can get a full refund. If the later orders then end up arriving earlier, the question is which orders (not all were forum group buys) and who will sell them where, and do I want to devote time to scouring forum/sites everyday to catch them if/when the opportunity does arise to buy over 900 chips. Uncertainty. That leaves the group buy and assembly coordinators, who will use early chip batches to fill existing orders. However, only if a large percentage of their customers choose to refund will they have excess chips to sell, and if so, when? More uncertainty. For these reasons I'll be voting no on the refund option. I do have another large chip order with Steamboat batch one, so not all is lost if the majority here vote to refund (which seems imminent). No hard feelings, I would have done the same if I'd paid for assembly, especially with the BTC price increase. (As a side note, a hard-to-find part for the K16, IR3895 buck regulator, just quickly and unexpectedly went in then out of stock at Arrow to the tune of multiple reels. So people are still building these, just not anyone here.)
