1561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My eye opening advice about crypto projects on: July 14, 2020, 10:28:42 PM
True, but I don't think you should bring into factors utilities (by utilities i guess you mean use cases and what it is going to do? ) and exchange listing.
The project can always come up with mind blowing ideas, but most of them are actually quite not possible to achieve with their current team. Those are just "all talks".
As for the exchange, we have seen coins being listed on some well known exchanges, but ending up dying. So, I would say, one should take these two factors lightly.

I don't think you should take lightly about the use cases of a certain project. I believe that is one of the important things to look at any project. Without strong use case in the market, the project will not survive. If it is mere trading and just "all talks", I don't think they can sustain the interest of their supporters. Actual application will attract more users as long as they have significance in their daily lives. Without this, I don't think the lifespan of the project will be long.
1562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: July 14, 2020, 09:19:46 AM

The ‘Mastering Web 3.0 with Waves’ course has been launched on the global educational platform Coursera. Find out all about the course first-hand, from its author, Waves developer advocate Inal Kardanov 👉 https://medium.com/wavesprotocol/learn-web-3-0-with-waves-on-coursera-b08f7e80ca1f
This is actually good news. I had enrolled courses before in Coursera, way way back. Wasn't yet into crypto that time. Who would think that waves will be a part of coursera? However, what I observed here is their waves.exchange, are there any activities in the pipeline to attract traders on their exchange. Still, the trading volume is still low. Even if they migrated to this new exchange, I don't think they really gain traders here. Just my observations though.
1563  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We are in a Bitcoin Rally, not an Altcoin Rally on: July 14, 2020, 01:13:21 AM
a rally is when the price goes up naturally in a healthy market due to adoption and as the result it stays up. i don't think we had any altcoin rallies ever, not just in the past 2 years. what altcoins had in the entire history of cryptocurrency market has been pump and dumps. the 2017 pumps are the best recent examples you can think of.
I guess you could also call these sucker rallies:

Quote
A Sucker's Rally is temporary price rise in an individual stock or the market at large.  This rise will continue just long enough for "suckers" to jump on board, and soon after the stock or market declines (or falls sharply).

Most altcoins have been this way because time has proven how useless they are. No matter how much one team was able to update & improve an alt, Bitcoin always came back with a big counterpunch. I am still holding some alts myself, but while I use my Bitcoin wallets quite often, I haven't opened the wallets of my alts in years. Anything you do basically sends you back to the king Smiley

That's right! Even if you have so many alts in your portfolio, you go back to btc because whenever you need your fiat, most local exchanges only have the btc to fiat conversion. Though local exchanges are now accepting other major alts like eth or xrp, yet, the most common crypto that every user is comfortable with is btc. And the truth about most alts is that very rare that you will encounter that has real use case in the market, most of them are keeping afloat because of those sucker's rally done by their respective devs.
1564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People are ignoring that Proof-of-Bandwidth is an actual thing on: July 13, 2020, 11:37:54 PM
indeed the demand for bandwidth will continue to increase in the future, this is due to the adoption of the 5G network. but replacing a previously centralized system into decentralization requires a high cost. and I think adding storage for bandwidth in the mainstream way will be cheaper. if proof-of-bandwidth is better, companies like google, netflix, or apple must have started developing this method. because you know those companies really need bandwidth to make users more comfortable.

I believe it is only a matter of time before companies will look seriously into this aspect. Or maybe they are already doing their research as we speak. Adoption of 5G network is already starting in some countries, so I guess this kind of algo will soon hit the community.
1565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Sumcoin on: July 13, 2020, 10:59:14 PM
Sumcoin also on Coinmarketcap now

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/sumcoin

I saw that the price in satoexchange is very expensive, however, there are so many complaints regarding the withdrawal from that exchange. Can the team clarify about this accusation as this is the only exchange that they have right now?
1566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH to hold now or not? on: July 13, 2020, 01:58:35 AM
I would not expect ATH to be achieved for ETH. but I save this asset for the long term. eth still has great potential for growth. I believe this will be an asset with a surprising increase when the bitcoin pump is run.
We don't know when it will happen but I believe, ATH will only be made if there's a good run in the market and if we enter again into another bull market. ETH is the top altcoin, we should not forget about this one and we have to continue holding this because it will go up again.

Why afraid to hold good coins? be afraid if you invested into another ponzi scheme investment or a scam token. If I have much money to buy ETH I will not hesitate to buy it because of its good fundamentals and of course the recent update with ETH is great reason to pump soon.

It depends on the OP himself, if he is afraid of holding eth, I think he can't hold his investments for long time. So if he is looking at short term scenario and expect gain profit from it, then maybe look for other crypto that will give him that kind of return. In my opinion, eth is already a solid one so it is a good investment in case. But up to the user about his targets. He is the only one who can finally answer his questions, because he is the only one who knows his real financial situation when it comes to a very risky investment.
1567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PUMP PRICE CALL OF A NON-EXISTING, SHIT TOKEN ON TWITTER. on: July 12, 2020, 11:48:49 PM
You did not mention the name of the coin, you should explain the case clearly so that no one is a victim.
or link information of the exchange you are referring to.

I was looking for the name of the coin also. The OP should give us the name of the coin and confirm that if it is really a shit token. But if they are not even listed in exchanges and they are doing the hype, then more than likely, that token is really crap. But next time, OP give us more info so we know what you are talking about here.
1568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The success of IEO is Exchange on: July 12, 2020, 10:16:40 PM
I can say yes !, I have seen IEO in the top exchanges, such as Binance, Bithumb, and Huobi,
all IEO there are successful and indeed ROI can go up to 100%
The success of an IEO depend on the level of liquidity and how big an exchange site is but the success of the project itself after the IEO is completely finished depend on the concept and the project team strategy and i believe the perspective which the project will pose after the IEO should be the major reason in a project not the exchange site.
So don't fool about project ROI in the future cause the IEO held by big exchange.

Indeed! The true success can be seen after listing the coin or token and trading at least couple of months. Because the first wave in trading, that's not the real value yet of the coin. In some way, the exchange is a factor but later on, it will be the project itself. Without rock solid foundation and purpose, the project will fall eventually. So it is not only the exchange that you should assess for but also the possible use case in the market.
1569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN BLIPCOIN [BPCN] on: July 12, 2020, 09:38:59 PM
Are you going to add more details on your website?

what is this coin for ? or just another testing project by one person team just for fun ?

It seems that this a test project though they are not holding any ICO and they don't have premine. But the looks of it, it will be another project with short lifespan in crypto. Just another coin that will bite the dust. Nothing tangible is seen from this project at the moment.
1570  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Those that hate risks! on: July 11, 2020, 11:54:24 PM
There is minimal risk when you invest in a quality product with a solid team.
but the risk is still there. however, in the business world, whether it's trading, investing, etc. all have risks that need to be faced and prepared. those who can't afford to lose their money, you shouldn't do any business. no matter how small a business, then it will have risks that need to be faced.
You're right. Whether the risk is high or low. There's always a risk in business, any kind of business! Investors have to know that. Especially in a new market like the cryptocurrency market, the risk is even way higher than other markets. Because of that, investors in the cryptocurrency market have to be wise and really careful about what they're doing!
Being careful in means on studying up everything before making any move because it will surely cost you once you did make a mistake but to know that getting mistakes are inevitable
this is why its important to lessen up as small as possible.

We do know that crypto market is way more riskier compared to other traditional markets that we do know and if you hate risk then investment world wont really fit you out but to think
that you wont earn nothing if you wont risk something.

People should accept the fact that they are dealing with risk but it can be handled out with experience, skills and knowledge.

Experience will teach you a lot of tips and tricks in crypto trading, but basic skills and knowledge will give you more in depth understanding of the market. So to be successful in crypto trading is not an overnight target. The longer you are in crypto trading, the more knowledge you have on how to attack each and every coin. Because each coin has their own features and advantages.
1571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will it take for crypto payment to go mainstream? on: July 11, 2020, 10:53:44 PM
It's true that BTC take longer confirmation duration compared to some traditional mainstream transactions with FIAT. And nowadays, the fees are becoming too high, higher than the initial purpose for creating cryptocurrency. This is the more reason why most crypto enthusiasts see BTC as store of value, and prefer to use other crypto with faster transaction speed and lesser fees like XRP, XLM for payments. ETH used to have negligible fees in the past but recently things changed to the opposite. For crypto to go mainstream, these challenges need to be resolved for acceptability. Aside that, so many regulations need to be put in place inline with monetary policies.

I believe that is one major bottleneck for btc to go mainstream. The fees involved is quite expensive so most crypto users prefer btc as a store of value instead. And also, most merchants are still hesitant to add crypto or btc mainly because of its volatility. But because of this pandemic, there are several merchants looking at crypto to be included in their payment method. So just give it a time, and we will see more shops accepting crypto for their products and services.
1572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: TimeCoinProtocol - decentralized sharing economy protocol on: July 11, 2020, 10:26:35 AM
Hi Dev, I noticed there are fresh accounts commenting one after another. If the mod noticed that they created their account just to bump or spam the thread to hype up this project, they will delete their posts. You can always have your audience here if the community see that your project is solid and substantial. It will take time but people will see your platform. Good luck!
1573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.10.0 on: July 10, 2020, 11:38:05 PM
And now the price is going down which was to be expected. The one reason why I use Doge is for cheaper fees and from what I have seen from a lot of people that seems to be the main use case for Doge when transferring from exchange to exchange. I hope everyone enjoyed the pump while it lasted and it will be interesting to see where the price settles.

Same with you, with or without the tiktok's commotion, I am using doge for transfer purposes between exchanges. I think that is one major use of doge among crypto users. With its availability across many exchanges, it is quite easy to trade them back to the coin you want. But if nothing else, this tiktok brouhaha will drive users to be crypto users. Because I believe most of them doesn't even know how how to transact with crypto.
1574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TikTok PUMPS Dogecoin Cryptocurrency | ÐOGE going to $1?!!! on: July 10, 2020, 10:42:13 PM
How did you analyze that Dogecoin will go to $1?

Have checked the max supply of this coin? If not then check it on CMC. It can never go to $1.

Tik Tok did pump it and it might pump more but wait for few more days and it start dumping the price point that you are seeing now.
This was im trying to say on why the hell they do really believe that it would able to reach out $1 without even seeing its chart and come  to think that even on that 2017 bull run where everything is already on
impressive price levels. DOGE did able to manage to hit up ATH of $0.016 which is really a far cry if we do talk about reaching a dollar.I do rather believe that XRP would able to do that but still on a very slim chance of possibility but in talks about Doge? Basing of on the entire supply alone, you can really say that it wont able to reach out that goal no matter how hard it would be hyped.

No matter how they pump it via social media sites, I don't believe that doge will reach $1. I hope people will not fall into this "delusion". And yes, they need to be realistic on the doge scenario. Otherwise, those noobs will hate themselves for believing that doge will really achieve this $1-level.
1575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Always look at the coins MAX supply on: July 10, 2020, 08:33:33 AM
I think this max supply issue is vice versa, I've seen few not so good crypto projects with big max supply, looking at the project use case you can easily figure out that the big max supply doesn't make any sense, developers should start looking at use cases closely before releasing big max supply. Most projects don't need big max supply

The supply is not a vital factor for me to evaluate if the project is heading in a good direction or not. Because everyone can manipulate how much coin they want to release. But they can't manipulate how many people will support and use their services or product. If they have usable product, people will notice it. But if they are just using some sort of front as a use case, in time, you will know how many people will truly utilize their product. So don't always look at the coin's max supply but the actual use case in the market.

1577  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance compared to other Crypto Exchange. on: July 09, 2020, 11:30:19 PM
First of all, are you really pairing Binance and Bittrex in the same category? Binance rakes in about 5 billion dollars in daily trading volume on average and Bittrex? just about $50 billion. Granted, Bittrex was a market leader at some point in 2016/2017 but lost that spot to Binance due to their shortcomings with several bugs hampering their platform at the time. Even now, Bittrex offerings is no where near that of Binance. I'm talking about the overall trading experience on both exchanges (I'm a user of both).

That is actually what I was thinking here, why compare Binance and Bittrex now? Binance has come a long way already and by just looking at the trading volume, BNB is already very far. Got the figures from coingecko not from CMC. So it is very clear that Binance is leading among crypto exchanges and Bittrex has been left behind.

1579  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading mistakes on: July 07, 2020, 11:10:25 PM
it's natural that someone has a mistake when trading, I've also experienced it, I lost $ 100 just because I could not hold my emotions and did not determine the right position

Trading skills also include the ability to cage your emotions. This is not easy to do most times when you getting that idea to get profit you assume  Grin. It takes a very experienced trader to handle emotional challenge with trading. But your loss shouldn't make you quit trading. If you understand emotion as a challenge, you can adjust with time.
Trading is a difficult job and when they choose to stop or continue I don't think it will be a problem and also, when you lose a few percent of the money you trade but in reality you still have money that can be used or cashed. So in trading how big a mistake you made actually you can still recover it if you have good emotional control or patience to overcome these mistakes.

Of course, you can always recover what you have lost. You just need patience and good strategy. Practice makes perfect, right? The longer you are doing your own trading, the more tips and tricks that you will learn especially in crypto trading. Every alt has their own strengths and you need to study them if you want to trade these alts.
1580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I have an idea about betting on bitcoin on: July 06, 2020, 10:54:45 PM
I have an idea. I will not implement it, I don't know if already it exists, but I would like to post it. Tell me, if it would be dumb.
Yes, it already exists. Betting on the price of bitcoin or any other alt for a determined time is already set by some major platforms in the Gambling field and i remember seeing it in some exchanges too.
Even it's already existed, and if you really have the needed skills, you can still implement it and start a business. But, to be honest, it's not that easy as you may thought because it's not that easy to determine the exact price of bitcoin in an exact time.

Yes, his idea is not new and it is already existing. But better forget building his own business because it seems that he is not ready for this. He will just fail and waste his resources.
