1621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A few thoughts, if you are starting today, these tips can be very valuable on: May 01, 2020, 10:02:09 AM
1. Don't invest in ICO projects anymore, they aren't attractive to investors again, most are scam and projects using ICO can take several years to complete fund raising

2. IEO is the best choice now, buy still dangerous on small exchanges, you want success? Go for IEO projects that pick top exchanges only
After countless scam using ICO projects, IEO was born. There are some IEO that tend to be a scam after the projects regained the trust of investors by having a crowd sale on an exchange but nothing changed. IEO projects today have a lot of risk in terms of investments especially if an IEO is offered on a small exchange. So most of the serious projects go to big exchanges like Binance to gather more trust and participation to investors out there. I think it's better to be safe investing in an IEO that is on a big exchange.

With the rise of IEOs, every exchange, big or small can launch their own IEOs now. However, it becomes like ICOs already especially if the IEO is held in a substandard exchange. What I was trying to say is, scammers can still operate even with IEO launchpad requirements. There is still no assurance that the token or coin will perform better after the IEO. And the usual fate of ICO like losing its value significantly is experienced also with these IEO projects. The only difference is that they have sure exchange after their sale. Abandoning the project is also quite easy even with IEO projects.
1622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who knows about this Token 駒 塲 良 隆 ??? on: April 28, 2020, 07:54:22 PM
It's just a junk token. Maybe someone is trying to test and generate these tokens, I see a lot of junk tokens being generated every day because it's not really that difficult to create. . And you should remember that never invest in tokens like this, obviously it's worthless and a scam

Yes, just another crap token. Maybe they are trying to create their own token for possible income generating scheme. Another day, another scam. Don't take this token seriously, unless they can come up a good background of it.

Celo

Mission: build a financial system that creates the conditions for prosperity—for everyone.

Token Sale: Coinlist

Nope, scam.

I am wondering if the stated backers here are true. They even have coinbase in the list. Also, did Casey Neistat ever mention Celo in his Youtube channel?

1625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][WSLT] White Stripe Lottery | Changing the view of gambling on: April 27, 2020, 07:58:56 PM
I am seeing brand new acct to newbies asking questions here and the dev replying. There's nothing wrong with that but if this will continue and no other type of users will comment here, I think those accounts are from this project itself just to make this thread alive. If you want to change the view in gambling, just make  this project attractive to players or gamblers here because they are a lot. Gamblers have their own section so if you are already finished developing this platform, you can always create your thread in the Gambling section.
1626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CIRQ] Cirquity - private, fast, secure! on: April 27, 2020, 01:26:01 PM
What are your plans to expose your popularity among crypto users? You have introduced this project last Jan but still not getting many followers here?
We are evaluating some marketing strategy, and on top of that we are developing a FAUCET website so other new users can get started and get to know the project. We're too busy on developing on the project and didn't have time to properly introduce our project in this channel.

And I saw that you partnered with gaming solution company, is this coin going to be used in some of the games endorsed by the company?
Yes, they are developing games and we will integrate Cirquity on top of their platform (as prize / bonus).

I think that would be great as there are a lot of gamers and it will create actual usage for your coin.
That would really add some use case on this project.

That would really be great, if you can focus your use case on their games, adding coin to other games would be easy once you successfully introduced your coin to them. I hope you will not focus on your exchange listing like many alts, because exchange listing will only be successful if you have good adoption for your coin. And you mention about the faucet website, you can direct some gamers to get some free coins on that site to test some games where your coin is already integrated. They will be motivated to use your coin if they will initially get it for free.
1627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CIRQ] Cirquity - private, fast, secure! on: April 27, 2020, 11:30:31 AM
And the block height is at 24,924 and 2,439,855,476.79 CIRQ in circulation, quite a lot for a new project.
Calculate the risk before starting to mine it.
Maybe you saw the explorer when it was still pointing on test. Sorry for that.

Vitalik Calls for Trustless Bridges between ETH and other Crypto
Bridging blockchain’s gaps with hybrix releasing second-layer cross-ledger token next month
In a recent tweet, Ethereum creator Vitalik Buterin calls for putting resources towards a decentralized exchange system between Ethereum and Bitcoin and between Ethereum and other blockchains[1]. “It’s embarrassing that we still can’t easily move between the two largest crypto ecosystems trustlessly”. Solutions are on their way, as the hundreds of replies indicate. One of several under the radar projects that is on the verge of breakthrough in fixin underlying problems is hybrix. Their token, which will live on a second-layer protocol, sees the light of day next month in May and is expected to bridge the blockchain’s gaps differently.
----

But Vitalik didn't endorse this project directly, right? Just found out this wallet today and will be looking more in depth of this HY token. Will it really be helpful to crypto users to use this wallet? With hundreds of tokens already listed in your platform, what are your major criteria to include a token in your list without the intervention from its token developers?
1629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] VETHER: A STRICTLY-SCARCE ETHEREUM-BASED ASSET on: April 27, 2020, 06:22:24 AM
So how can you create value for this token? Your website's content is the same as your OP's content, all texts. I don't know if someone will be willing to buy your token without any Proof of Value as of now. Where can they use it aside from the possible trading in exchanges? Though the quantity is very small but please explain how it will be valuable?
1630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: Project ICH on: April 26, 2020, 11:01:05 PM
If you already did sell those 24M, that means this project will move forward fast. But upon seeing the profiles of your team members, how are inventors and creators will trust your project if you don't have professional profile links like linkedin profile? Do you think real inventors will just trust facebook profiles?

Hi, care to explain why you took parts of someone else's whitepaper and presented it as your own? Don't you understand that's plagiarism?

Here is more about in this topic
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5243386.0

Warning for others: if they are not capable/willing  enough to put some effort and  make their own content, guess how capable they would be with investors money.

No answer from the dev team? They can always admit and rectify their whitepaper to correct things here. It is okay to get some parts from other projects, but you need to put that in your references and also paraphrase the statements so it will not be word for word. But if you will just copy without acknowledging your resources then, how can we trust your project?
1632  Economy / Gambling / Re: TOTAL CAPITAL - Recursive Crypto Totalizator! on: April 26, 2020, 07:53:41 AM
What promotions are you going to deploy here to gain players because when I check your website, no bets are made for capital platinum and capital gold? So if there are no other bets, I am assuming the round is not going to move forward. Is that right?

Redesigning your project from scratch, what are the new strategies that you will implement in this revival of your project? And what do you think will change this time and adopt the current situation of crypto? Do you have certain activities that will draw attention of crypto users to use your coin?

Your link seems broken so I'll just give again the link that you wanted to share -

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/04/23/bill-gates-outlines-innovations-needed-to-stop-coronavirus-pandemic.html

What he is proposing is actually very feasible, summarizing the items from the above article -

1. Treatment
2. Vaccines
3. Testing
4. Contact tracing
5. Opening up

Using blood plasma of those who recovered from Covid is really a very promising immediate solution right now to treat those who are severely infected.

*If pharma companies can really produce the vaccine for the next 9 months, that would really be amazing. With the technology that we have, I am very positive that they can come up with the vaccine shorter than what is the normal duration of identifying a potent vaccine.

Now, will the conspiracy theory that Bill Gates made this virus stop once and for all? I don't think he will ever be responsible to this kind of situation as he is helping people around the world not wanting to kill them.

Anyway, why such high sells ? This dumps too much, let buyers come and let the price grow !

we not have right to control the price in decentralized blockchain its depend on community buy & sell

Not have control? your shit put sell orders 500 MILLION trex at 25 satoshis price at crex 2 days ago. You controlled 500 MILLION PREMINE COIN. What a scam

Have you not listen or follow our twitter updates we postpone our public sale and already freeze 2 B premine coins. Please don't make spam if someone try to do a good job you have to support them instead of making rumors

here you check it: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/trex/#!rich

How long are you planning to freeze these 2B premine coins? What I am worried is that, once people already forgot that you froze those coins, you will slowly send it to the exchanges and sell them. And right now, people can follow your updates but later on of course people will move to another project and they will not bother to question you anymore whatever you will do to those frozen coins.
1636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have control or not? on: April 24, 2020, 11:50:44 PM
It's all dependent on the user but we're not on the same characteristics we can quickly get over. So there are people who will need medicine or support from family including others.
Yep, it is true. Not all people can accept their mistakes and be aware of his addictions. Some people needs advise or special approach to make them realize of their wrong habits. Advise or suggestion from their close people like family members sometimes doesn't work for severe addicts. So, they must go to special mental treatment experts/professionals.

Professionals that can give them the necessary approach on how to deal with their addiction. Because most of the time the gambler will be in denial stage and whatever his family members are advising on him will be rejected. He will be angry to everyone around him and that I think will be one of the hardest stages in addressing gambling addiction.

Anyway, on my part, I am positive that I have the control with my gambling habits. Because I only gamble from time to time and only use my extra money. So far, I haven't gambled my money for my basic necessities. And I hope to keep that way.
1637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you need licence to open up an online Bitcoin Casino? on: April 24, 2020, 09:36:17 AM
Getting a license is really easy. You can get a license from a country that supports gambling and running an online casino makes it very convinient for you to apply wherever you want because there's no rule that your server must be located in the country that provides the license.

Many online casinos get registered in Curacao, Malta, Cyprus.

Casinos that aren't licensed are not worse than those with a license. Licenses cost you money so you need a decent turnover to be able to afford it. Many operators don't apply especuially when the business is in aa early stage.

This is actually true, most gambling websites will not acquire license at the very early stage of their operations. They can apply for license, either from Curacao, Malta, Cyprus and to add Estonia for inexpensive and fast processing of gambling license. But I'm curious if the OP finally got his own casino. He was last active last Oct 2017, did he launch his bitcoin casino in the forum without us knowing that he is behind such casino?
1638  Economy / Economics / Re: Goverments creating digital currencies - Threat or Opportunity? on: April 23, 2020, 11:14:55 PM
In accordance to what you said, country controlled currency is more of a threat because of one simple thing and that is tax. They want a controlled and centralized crypto because they simply can't control the pioneering cryptocurrency, just imagine how much money the government have if they have taxed the people who earned cryptocurrency but they can't do it because they do not have control over it. If in the near future that all countries have their own crypto would spell bad thing for the prices of all the cryptocurrency, because there are more crypto to choose which in turn will dramtically decrease the demand and thus lowering its prices. We also shouldn't forget that when this nation controlled crypto come into fruition, there is a high possibility of banning all other decentralized crypto.
Cryptocurrency being controlled by the government might have taxes because that is how fiat currency works that we use it in paying taxes for the economy of a country, so if the government will create their own cryptocurrency it will not have any differences to fiat at all or it is not unique anymore.

I think the difference with fiat is the ease of transaction as you don't have to use the physical paper money anymore. Of course, there will be taxes as it is controlled by the government. But the idea of using digital currency is not far as like in this pandemic situation. If people have the choice to use their own digital currency and shops are accepting it, they will use it instead of the paper money because of the risk of transferring the virus. So I guess, creating digital currencies is not a threat but an opportunity to widen the usage of crypto. People will always have a choice if they will use a decentralized vs. centralized coin.

Maybe you need to run sig campaign here in the forum handled by one of the reputable managers so you can attract more players on your site. I think one hesitation is that you have negative trust and most users will not investigate on their own about the validity of the allegation. Once you have negative trust, they have the line of thought that the site you are promoting might screw them.

AVAILABLE AMOUNT OF AUREUS NUMMUS GOLD: 60 trillion ANGs = 60,000,000,000,000 ANGs
Have I just read it correctly? That is a monstrous number of tokens and it's not even issued on its own chain, it's been created on Ethereum blockchain which makes it completely unbelievable. Why is there a different team issuing the token?
I have gone through the whole whitepaper and could not find anything about the most important aspect of any project that says their tokens is backed by physical gold which is how the team is going to provide the security for the gold bars and where those golds will be securely stored, how is the insurance going to cover all of those etc. If I were to buy some gold backed tokens I would surely want to have some legal paperwork from the project. What about that?

Also, don't get me wrong their website seems a scammy website based on my impression. And yes, as you are mentioning about being backed by gold, they don't mention where the gold is located, who will audit their gold possession, where they are legally registered to operate (I assume in Canada as their Technical Developer is located in Canada). The whitepaper has the notion of a potential scam as well. They forgot to include the important factor of how much gold they have to back up these 60 trillion ANGs?
