Let's keep it real in here

It ain't over till the fat lady sings...

I hear the fat lady warming up though.   Grin

out of curiosity, is Bitchickshusband, really your husband?

Yes.  I signed up on the board months before him.  He finally decided to sign up and then thought it would be funny to use that name because I had already been on here for a while.  Grin

He is the one that told me about Bitcoins though, many months before we actually bought them.  We regret that of course. We kind of decided together not to buy when they were only $8 because we were unsure about the fact that there was some wide usage for drugs and other illicit activities.  Also, we were not so sure about where Bitcoin would really go.  At least we realized when it was $48 that we should probably buy some at that point.  But again, did not buy much then.  Just got our feet wet enough to realize we needed to throw as much as we could possibly afford to lose into it.  So here we are.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

I know what you mean.  I dithered around with the price fluctuations, and by the time I finally bought some, the price had hit an all time high up until that point.  I couldn't believe that I had paid 6.5 cents EACH!  Of course, the price pulled back to under 6 cents almost immediately.  I had bought at the peak!  I was the fish!  It took weeks for the price to recover.  I'm sure glad I learned my lesson.  There were so many forum members predicting the Great Bitcoin Crash (tm) at that time, so I guess they had to be right!

"The powers of financial capitalism had another far-reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent meetings and conferences. The apex of the systems was to be the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by the world's central banks which were themselves private corporations. Each central bank...sought to dominate its government by its ability to control Treasury loans, to manipulate foreign exchanges, to influence the level of economic activity in the country, and to influence cooperative politicians by subsequent economic rewards in the business world."

I think about this thread all the time.

It makes me feel good.

I think about it when im getting ready for work.  I like the title.  It sounds super sexy and motivating.

I think this thread needs to stay near the top.

The power of suggestion in seeing this thread Title in the list will only help Bitcoin grow.

You'd be amazed how people are manipulated by the power of suggestion.

Same I don't follow this thread anymore but I always get a buzz just seeing it Smiley.

You ask because you haven't set eyes on her pic, yet.
You wouldn't if not.

Of course I won't catch up to many of you, but all the new people joining will have a hard time catching up to me.  I guess it is a bit of a pyramid in that regard.

Also some big holder keep selling their coins.

Also, I will feel like I have more wealth as the value of Bitcoin increases.

It's the nature of growth. What is so very cool about Bitcoin is the nature of the earliest investors.

I have a pretty wide online presence but my husband being the technically savvy one is very private.  He avoids Facebook.  He knows too much. Wink

I am not as concerned but probably should be.  But when it comes to Bitcoin we try to keep it on the down low.  Someday that might be a useful thing. I have not even mentioned it on Facebook at all.  Although I did comment on an article and I was clueless that it showed up on there. Oops.  Then a friend was interested in it that I had not talked to about them.  Oh well. Wink

There's more than one contender for that title.

Stephanie Murphy would have a fairly strong claim to it.

Maybe we should have a poll.
