I am not yet wealthy or elite.

Please hurry the fuck up everybody Kiss

Wish i was a part of this thread early long before the boom..

I would have been happy realizing that i am also a new wealthy elite....

Have you bought Bitcoin in any meaningful amount? Congratulations, you will be Smiley

Yeah i have started buying a bitcoin and some altcoins, more than that i want to be a part of this entire ecosystem, want to contribute and innovate and then enjoy the fortune.

If you are comfortable in the risk, put a % of any income you have into Bitcoin. And HODL on to it tight, we don't want to have to say we told you so a few years down the line.

HODLing for the longest time. Skippin fast right around the moon. On a rocketship straight to mars.
Up, up and away with my beautiful, my beautiful Bitcoin~

What's meaningful amount? 10?

when will i be wealthy elite?  Cry

Having tens of thousands got you kind of wealthy when it was 10$/BTC; having a few thousands got you kind of wealthy when it got to 100$/BTC and having a few hundreds got you kind of wealthy when it got to 1000$/BTC
If you have tens of BTC you will get kind of wealthy when it gets to 10,000$/BTC and wealthy when it gets to 100,000$/BTC; if you have only a few BTC you will need to wait longer

We are still early adapters of bitcoins, most people here doesn't think about it but we are all owners of a big potential richness.
There will be more 4-5 bubbles before the value will reach its place in my opinion.

I like you, I was a buyer at 1200.. 900.. 600 and 500 .. lol.

Get a cup of coffee or a stronger stimulant and read the now classic thread I AM HODLING. The original post was written in the crash that followed the November 2013 peak.

The author, GameKyuubi, is admittedly drunk on whisky, sharing a tale of woe, yet his impaired judgement says to hold on, not sell.

In his honor, the term HODL has entered our forum lexicon.

One of my favorite posts on that thread was just a few days ago. Bitcoin then @ $581 . . .

Now that bitcoin's looking up, let's remind people that nothing has really changed:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KhhlPRGrwQI&feature=kp

Hodl on tight to your dream
Hodl on tight to your dream
When you feel your rocket's launching
When you feel your heart is breaking
Hodl on tight to your coins.

It's a long time to be out
Inflation goes on and on
When you need champagne to open
When you get so sick of losing
Just hodl tight to your dream.

When you get so down that you can't get up
And you short so much but you're all out of luck
When you're so downhearted and misunderstood
Just over & over & over you could

Hodl-toi à ton rêve
Hodl-toi à ton rêve
Quand tu sents ton fusée partir
Quand tu sents ton coeur se briser
Hodl-toi à tes monnaies.

Hodl on tight to your dream
Hodl on tight to your dream
When you see the candles falling
When you hear bitalert calling
Hodl on tight to your dream.

The etymology derived from:

At some point the word HOLD was mistyped as HODL. It stuck. It also sounds a little like HODOR.

Any significantly advanced cryptocurrency is indistinguishable from Ponzi Tulips.

Figured I should post in this thread just in case I can look back on it and smile in a few years time.

Currently at just over 5 BTC, not worth a great deal today - here's hoping for tomorrow!

Are you currently putting all your money into bitcoin?  If you say this, you show you believe it by your actions.  I am putting all my money into bitcoin - I see a possibility of $50-$100+ per coin this year.  Just think, once the "bankers" and hedge funds find out about this, we are going to the moon.  Once my bitcoins are $1,000+ I will be able to pay off my growing college loans and maybe get an apartment, and my first car Smiley

If you are right and you well may be, your first car might be a Bentley.

The issue for me and I suspect a lot of us is getting enough before it goes way up. My tiny stake isn't a lot but I am enjoying the process of building it.

By the way, I actually met Ron Popeil and the guy who did the voiceover for his original Vegamatic commercials.

Both were Helvuaguys!

That's the thing. Having too many Elites is a bad thing to the current Elites. A little more power taken away from them.

Speaking of HODLING, what ever happened to Helmut Hodl? Did he get more fame from people coining the phrase, 'hodl'?
