Warriors equalized the series as I expected and I was very confident about it. Warriors are a really predictable team in some specific games. For example, they started this series really badly but I knew that they were going to atone for it right away in the second game. They did this by a huge performance too and Celtics were helpless against them in the first three quarters. They were able to decrease the gap by only four points in the last quarter and had no choice other than submitting to them at the end.
It looks like they are still gonna defend that title favorite for this year's NBA title. The thing is, will they beat them on the Celtics homecourt? During the regular season they got a 28/13 during their home games and 5/4 this playoffs. That's still 50%+ advantage for them this playoffs to win on their homecourt while 3/4 win for GSW on the road. That should be noted I guess. Forget about the past events, this is the finals and it's very unpredictable. We can based on the game 1 outcome, we thought that the Warriors will not lose game 1 because they have not lose a home court game in the playoffs so far, but the Celtics surprise them in the 4th quarter and have dominated them clearly. now, Warriors are on the road, we know they are a good team so they have a chance to steal one game on the road, not sure which game it is.

Curry are good in times that he needed to win, and this game is necessary for the Warriors so they will not be pressured in the succeeding games. It's hard to decide actually, but I would stick with the underdog here which is the Warriors.

I guess I am referring to what Velvet78 has just said there, "being predictable". He may have said for some specific games but I do think that stats from this year are still measurable for specific things too. Yeah, it's unpredictable, my point was just on the stats, if it will be based on there since there are still people that depends on it. I know how good Warriors are and I still do that they have the huge chance to get the ring but if it's unpredictability, Celtics may surprise us too. It's hard to decide actually, but I would stick with the underdog here which is the Warriors.
I don't think the Warriors was the underdog here, they got players here who already have Finals appearances compare to the roster of the Celtics, all of them was their first time.

Actually warriors is totally fine even on game one they show dominance but over relax that is why they lose for that mistake they do. And the game two indicates that they will not commit the same mistake and prove already that they can work together and win their games.game 3 is really important for both of them because if 1 of them win they are stepping closer to reach their target and that is to win on finals.

The Celtics did well in the first and second quarters. But GSW ended the first half with a class and that's where I think it all started. And when the second half started, that's where the fire started for the GSW and they didn't let that fire burn out until they've managed to put a huge difference in their scores. They did a great job doing that and we can expect more again from GSW on the next game. A classic GSW who dominates the 2nd half, with that kind of rotations where everyone really adjusts well, it's really tough for the young Boston to counter and got no other options but to give it up and rest their starters. Even there's still a whole 4th quarter to rally back, just like how they did it last game 1, but they might see that it's not worthy to try, and they just choose to conserve that energy going back home and try to turn the series back in their favor. The Warriors and Steve Kerr probably didn't got much sleep because of what happened in Game 1 and they put all their efforts to win in Game 2, the rotations was definitely good and they are also using the power of the players from the bench to atleast rest their starters for a bit. Curry made a push to make sure that this time the game will be in their possession. The Celtics was overwhelmed by the Warriors adjustment and that's what the experience in the Finals and playoffs could help the team because they can easily make an adjustment after the a defeat. Aside from that, they also learned a lot of mistakes from what happened in 2019 where the Raptors defeated them in the Finals.

~snip Anyway, I expect Warriors to win the second game and bring it to a 1-1 tie.
it is a pressure on Warriors to must win this one, and one in Boston to get back home if Celtics win next game, that would be really hard position yeah, Warriors had it all, overturn like this one does not happen often, but eventually, it can make a difference in the end, Boston can become champion with three home wins Warriors didn't make any surprise to me by winning the second game but that winning gap was really huge by the way. I didn't like that much of a gap as a Celtics fan. I'm going to be expecting a much bigger defensive performance by Celtics in the third game. I think it can be a very competitive game this time and Celtics can win by a small margin against their opponent. This would be a nice advantage for Celtics and maybe even they could make it 3-1 after too. Celtics can be a really unpredictable team in the end.

Well they are known to have a very good 3rd quarter, if my memory serves me right, regular seasons games, the Suns did to on the way to their league leading records. But Warriors is the consistent one, that's why they just demolished teams in the playoffs. No problem except for the Memphis series and maybe this finals obviously. So Boston will have to play better in the second half, so that they won't blown away like in game 2. The difference is that they have such a high amount of experience that nobody in the league currently have this kind of experience as a team. Warriors have been to the finals like 6 times or so? I am not sure, but that is a record breaking amount for the current period. Last time I have seen another trio that did 6 finals, was the Spurs trio of ginobili, duncan and parker, which they were not all available during the early years, maybe Duncan had 5 rings, but parker and ginobili didn't, they weren't there for the first one. All in all I have to say the high levels of experience makes a bigger impact during playoffs, and even a bigger one during finals.

That strategy won't work on the game 2. It's a long way to go for the Celtics to overcome what Warriors did to them during the 3rd quarter. The moment was there and it's hard to break that when Warriors is already dominating have taken the rhythm already. But we'll see how the Celtics would do as much as they can to dominate until the last minute without a moment of fluking.

Now we see what should have happened in game 1, Warriors winning huge in the 3rd and cruise on the 4th Warrior. But in the next game in will be in Boston, so maybe this could be a mental advantage for them to play in front of their fans.

What matters this time is their next game in the Boston Celtic's homecourt because they gonna need to stop the Warriors from making those shots from the ark that will create a huge leads in the early quarters which will gonna cause them to struggle to win. Their defense should be over 100% this time if they wanted to win. since they are at their homecourt advantage they can relax well and execute their game well without taking any pressure at all.

It's worth noting that almost all of the Celtics' role players had a pretty poor field-goal percentage in Game 2, except Tatum. So if the Celtics really want to win Game 3, they should be a lot better both on offense and defense. To be honest, I hope the fans will create a great atmosphere at TD Garden because it might be a great advantage for the Celtics in the upcoming game.

The fans will be on their side even at how much fun to watch Steph drain some deep threes. We have seen the Knicks fans cheering for him but I don't think Boston will do the same, especially in a Finals game. The offense is what I want to see change. When the Warriors adjusted after a loss at their home the margin of offense from the Celtics became way low. Brown from 24 points to 17, Smart from 18 to 2, and Horford from 26 to 2. That's unacceptable if you are a coach, every game is crucial and stats should not be far that different from their first game even if they lose game 2. Warriors didn't make any surprise to me by winning the second game but that winning gap was really huge by the way.
That's for sure. Who will be their next option if every Celtics player can be shut down by the Warriors? That's what Golden State defense is underrated, we always talk about their supposedly offensive firepower. But we seldom talk about their defensive prowess as well. Steph has improved a lot this year, his body is built to play inside now, get rebounds and play solid defense. Remember how he stole the ball from Ja Morant? And then we also have Klay Thompson who is also a good defender, and then Wiggins developed into one, Draymond is Draymond, and Looney not to block but to change the shot when someone is penetrating. Of course, Gary Payton's hand is quick, Otto Porter is another one (although he is injured). Poole as well can guard and so is Lee and Kuminga and Bjelica and Moody. So it's a complete line up.

Game 3 is very important for both teams, especially the Celtics because it's their home court and they need to protect it by winning the first game. Curry are good in times that he needed to win, and this game is necessary for the Warriors so they will not be pressured in the succeeding games. It's hard to decide actually, but I would stick with the underdog here which is the Warriors. The Warriors should return the favor and steal 1 game in the road because the Celtics have also snatched the 1st game, surely they didn't expected that but at least now they have bounced back and I bet they don't want to commit that very same mistakes they got. Steve Kerr is now rotating the players, even the bench players are getting some minutes to contribute so that their main line-up can rest even for a bit.

They are again a good squad who can win another NBA title. They are now adjusting and showing how serious they are, In bringing the crown back inside chase center. You mentioned all those adjustments and how those players are contributing right now. It's not an easy series competing against the best from the East, a young blooded squad who are aiming to bring the franchise back into a championship team.

That's what I like about the Celtics because they are competing against a heavy favorite Warriors team, but I have a feeling that as the series goes longer, it will be the Warriors who wil figure out how to go ahead in the series and eventually win. I like to see a game 7 to be honest, though it lessen my chance to win in the series since I bet on the Warriors, but I still want to see a thrilling outcome.

Yeah and there's no doubt about that, Warrior's momentum didn't change unlike game 1, the adjustment from their defense gives them the control. Boston, aside from Tatum, who did try everything to win, didn't materialize, whatever strategy they've tried to use, warriors are ready and did not let them to rally back. Game 3 is another exciting game to watch, either Warriors will win or Boston will protect their homecourt and continue to have a series advantage from these series.

I am not a Celtics fan but the game in Boston, in their arena 'Garden', makes me excited. It is like almost always excited to watch a playoff game in that arena, especially NBA Finals. I usually think in series like this, it is maybe the most important game of 7 games is the game three. The winner of game three always getting quite advantageous in my opinion. This game is also very important for the series. Celtics need a lot on the offensive side but with their home crowd probably as electrified as possible, they might get that extra push they need. They might be getting more from Marcus Smart, Derrick White, Grant Williams, Al Harford. But one thing is for sure, gonna be a great game.

The series is going to Boston now for next two games, that means Celtics have their home court advantage but they need to be very careful because they don't have any chance to make mistakes. They need to win both games to keep home court advantage. Now it's Tatum's turn, he can't play bad third game in a row. He needs to have some responsibility. Expecting a good defense from Celtics again.

Yeah, just 8 hours left and we will see game time again. I am excited. I think the wall that is keeping Tatum from greatness is just experience. He needs more of it and I am glad they took Horford back because that guy has a lot of experience and could share it with him. Then, confidence. He lacks it. Whenever Wiggins is in front of him, he soon finds a way to pass it to his teammates. He should try breaking Wiggins or put him in foul trouble if he can.
