He's for sure going to be another key player for the Warriors since Klay has left and he's the one to replace him.

If he continue playing like this then Warriors got a replacement for that spot, we know the system there's always Steph and Klay now it can be Hield to take that shot if the rotation of the ball went to his hands, it's a great sign that they might have a decent chance for this season's campaign.

Yes, there will be rotation for him as well but it's early to see that first and of course it will depend on Kerr's impression to him and if by the time needed to make adjustments.

In fairness with Wemby, he added some thickness for this year and that means progress to him. He's still got a lot of years to the NBA and he's now the front runner of Spurs, we just have to hope that he won't have any critical injury.

Anyway, he's a bit pissed because he helped the Knicks clinch the playoffs, and he has a big contribution during the playoffs as well especially that dagger three in I think Game 1 or 2 against the Sixers that made them win on that game. He’s shown that he clearly wants to stay, but this is business—he’s not in control of his future, the team is. He was traded from the Warriors to the Knicks, and then moved to the Wolves. I see him more as a role player, and honestly, he should be happy that teams are still interested in getting him. All the decisions are strategic, and even Randle got traded despite contributing more before his injury. He just needs to calm down, and if he wants real revenge, he should help the Wolves make it to the NBA Finals—who knows, maybe they’ll face the Knicks!

This seriously looks concerning in my opinion. I mean Thompson becomes injury prone after that major injury he had. Now, both Thompson and Irving are injury prone. Both of them might not be able to play as much games in the regular season like they used to. They can't win anything if they can't be healthy most of the time. Luka, can't do it alone though. Looking forward for Lively or Gafford step up big time for the Mavs this season. These 2 big men looks promising to me.

Klay Thompson’s advantage is really the timing of his injury, and I think he’s mentally tough. He didn’t miss any playoff games after a full season of rehab, which says a lot. Unlike Kyrie Irving, who seems to get injured unexpectedly. If this big 3 can work well together, it should take some of the pressure off, which could help minimize the injury risks for these players.

I don't know why Rick Brunson is having a beef with DiVincenzo but I bet Donte has received a message that Rick was part of the reason why he was traded, just my guess. But Donte needs to move on, I know he likes playing with the Villanova brothers but he is on a better team now and he must show it to them and silence them all.
Tell the Knicks they made a mistake through his actions and success. I am betting for the Timberwolves to win this year and I bet he will be a big part of that when they make it to the top.

Yeah, there will be some adjustments but it looks like Wemby's buff really is going to scare away the defense of their opposing team. And I can't wait to see the development on this kid and if he's more buffed soon, he'd go crazy and unstoppable. But this is still a team game so, that's just an individual expectation for him.

I think Seattle could return. I have no idea which team it could be. But it would be nice to see new teams join the NBA.

I thinks it's pretty safe to assume that the 2 cities will be Seattle. We had this conversation before and in every single report I have ever seen about the expansion it was always Vegas and Seatlle. Both have the infra structure and the fan base. Sure LV not really but they have a high volume of tourists and many of them want to be entertained while staying in LV, so a sports event is always a great option.

Also, I have never heard about cities like Louisville, SJ, Austin or KC being in the conversation. Austin for example doesn't make sense at all since there are already 3 teams from Texas. San Jose is the the same situation, already plenty (4) of Californian teams in the league already and SJ is way to close to SF.
The other cities are more NFL or NCAA markets, not so big on basketball, especially Kansas City.
And about Canada, this already failed once in Vancouver, why try again?

Only thing I might understand is Mexico City, even though travel is an issue here. But they mentioned Mexico often in the past when they were talking about expenasion, especially internationally.

As players get older, their risk of injury increases, and since we have seen a few injuries in the past years, it is quite normal that we are worried about them. It is not a big deal that minor injuries occur during the regular season, but injuries that will also affect the playoffs will completely end the teams' championship claims. That's why every player must pay close attention to himself and reduce the chances of injury by training a lot

I finished watching the NBA documentary on Netflix - Starting Five. It made me miss Winning Time a bit, which was the best NBA show I ever saw until it was cancelled. I’m still glad I saw it though. Everyone’s heads are exactly where I thought they’d be. Anthony Edwards seems ready to take over his role as the best player in the NBA. I’m ready for the season to start.

I'm not surprised that no one is talking about Rookie of the Year this season in this thread. lol Is this because Bronny James was drafted? Yes. Not gonna lie, it seems like all the media attention is on Bronny James and other top 5 picks arent being recognized because of him. Bronny James being LeBrons son, gets a lot of attention, which might be why there hasnt been much focus on other rookies who could be candidates for Rookie of the Year. His hype could be drawing attention away from rookies performances. lol

I still think Spurs will suck this season, there is no way we can see them do fine, but at the end of the day they are not really looking to win right now neither. They are going to see the team building for some more time.

Spurs needs a few more years, but eventually they will have some players both from draft probably but also from trading and free agency as well to surround him. I have no idea how long Pop wants to keep coaching, I do not know if they will see Pop renew his contract yet again, because if he doesn't, a new coach there will be start of a new era and will be hard to see. In the end I am sure they are going to end up with a terrible team for a while longer and obviously they had one for a while too, but eventually this Wemby dude will make them good again.

I think that's what really happen if someone is being traded, and we all know how competitive Donte is, and so he is going to trash talk his former team moving forward. It could be the same when Klay plays against the Warrior, Klay is known to be a trash talker so there could be one or two against his former team mates.

If he had beef with Rick then obviously, it will trickle down to Jalen Brunson and the whole Knicks. And that's what we wanted to see though, players are really going at it because of how they really compete against each other and wanted to win.

All attention is on Bronny for sure, however, I don't see any hype on any rookie for now, that's why maybe it's not been talk about not like when Wemby did enter the NBA, all eyes on him and we can say that he didn't disappoint us for winning the ROTY.

As for Donte trash talking his former team, we love, we love this kind of atmosphere even if this is just the pre-season, just imagine if this is like playoff, it will be electrifying to see Donte against his 'Nova team. Yes, I saw some of his old pics when he was just starting and today, and it seems that he has gain some muscles as well. Although his frame is too big and it might take some to really see a big transformation, just like Giannis before wherein the latter gain 50 pounds o pure muscles thru hard work and it didn't change his speed but he become so scary.

A couple more years to really see Wemby fully developed, he is still very young and plenty of room to improved. This is how powerful the NBA is, for sure he still has a lot of room for improvements for that 20-year-old body during his rookie days, he already dominating plus he was the rookie of the year 2024.
Having already the height as being center, now for sure the focus on him is being tough where he will become solid and anti for backs out every rebound.

He needs to build that muscle because he can get pushed around inside too easily. With his height, he should be dominating there, grabbing offensive rebounds for easy putbacks. No doubt he’s got some midrange and even outside shooting, but it’s better to let his teammates handle that. The Spurs should have a clear strategy for both outside and inside attacks. I just hope he stays healthy so we can watch his growth—I'm sure he’ll become a legend in the future.
