Old wallet works good on Windows...

there is a coinip...crap forget the name.... wallet coming out that  looks interesting. (multi wallet)

but you could look at the Electrum server stuff...   you dont have to dl the blockchain, the electrum server holds it, and you just  run from it.

seems like a cool option. ( think theres a java version, which even Mac can run )

A 30 something dude that works his ass off and has disposable income enough to throw at cryptos but struggles with some of the techie parts. I have the money but no time. Blockchain tech will eventualy become mainstream. You don't manage the technical know-how of a credit card or bank transaction, yet you still use it everyday because it works. Verge and the entire crypto universe does the exact same thing, the only difference is that the transference of ownership is being validated in a decentralized fashion, unlike banks. The entire database of transactions belongs to their owners, not major corporations.

also haven't received any payouts for faucet yet, trying to send to the Verge web wallet. it says "transaction started wait for complete." I've tried just replaying instead of waiting, and also tried waiting, no luck either way, anyone else having any trouble? can the web wallet receive faucet payouts?

But is was pain to get working synced wallet. It doesn't want to take VERGE.conf neither in working VERGE (... appdata/roaming ...) nor from command line. I made it work only provided needed setup parameters in command line.
And wallet didn't sync without addnodes, live node addresses are difficult to find in this big thread. You should definitely put them in OP

wallet definitely uses parameters in VERGE.conf

theres a ton of nodes, literally hundreds and hundreds. ill post a link to them in the OP.

no idea what you are asking. RSK creates smart contracts, when they are released for bitcoin in the coming weeks, we're going to use them for verge.

it has to work in that directory, unless you have ran the wallet as different users on that same machine, making multiple verge data directories in the application data folder.
