qt is not electrum. go to vergecurrency.de or cryptochainer.com (there are instructions on vergecurrency.de on how to download it so you dont have to wait and sync)

So... RadioCrypto milestone not happening, canceled, or what? I know it's not a huge deal, but i was curious to see what the "include in core wallets" would end up looking like.
Also i noticed in an interview that the merchandise store was supposed to only accept XVG. Did the community vote to have it also accept BTC? I thought accepting only XVG was a great idea.
radiocrypto is up. and it is in the core wallets on the github already, and will be in the next core release. yes, the merch store is already being built, and will only accept xvg. Nice. RadioCrypto website looks solid. Glad to hear it'll be XVG only. The Road Map currently says it will accept XVG and BTC, hence my confusion. Thanks for clearing that up. glad you like it. we're still posting content to the radiocrypto.com site, but tonight's first show will be on at 8pm PST / 11pm EST (CoinMetal with Frank Dashwood) Just want to say man. Your (+ the community's) commitment, principle, and vision for this coin are the reason I bought it. Been following silently since Doge and i'm incredibly impressed at what has been built here. If absolutely nothing else, this is an awesome experiment to see if the crypto market values a shiny brand over the real thing. It's an experiement i'm happy to be on the losing side of (sorta?), if we're wrong. Also take fucking http://vergecurrency.com/radio/ down, or redirect, if cryptoradio is the new jazz!

Seriously man, kudos! I'd say you're wrong, but, well, you're not. I started using the net in the era of newsgroups, bulletins, and then irc. This IS a rather fun coin and community, i've learned a lot. More than i've learned from one group since those days. Maybe XVG has renewed my faith in the net for a time, haha. Anyway.... haha Chatbox you say!? I'll be there to complain about minor SEO stuff or something (lurk)!

Well. I can't say enough. Love the commitment, "the sportsmanship" and i also treasure gains which are the real consequence of hard work put in by the dev. Great job. I also support vergecurrency - via twitter account @TheGhosTMost (Cointeller) - feel happy to tweet and retweet with me. I believe XVG is destined to be a success on and off the pitch

Hi Dev,
Hope you will find some time to address this , still curious to see your thoughts.
Hey Sunerok,
would like to see your view&Verge community on this:
I just realized that loopback - dummy IPs - on the user side, but public ledger can be integrated so smoothly in the IOT / connected vehicles/ smart city echo system.
they are estimating billions of things connected by 2020 and blockchain will be used as backbone instead of deploying centralized nodes around the end users.
now the thing is that corporations are already starting to build private blockchains to accommodate this. Basically a virtual currency will be used to pay inside those chains. there are a lot examples on this if we search.
Do you find feasible to try to tackle the IOT market?
this could be huge.
indeed, public ledger needs to exist .
As for security, if you cannot see within verge blockchain the real IP s of the users, maybe verge can be considered an alternative to the private chains.
I think that selling the dummy Ip s/public ledger idea for IOT is easier that those for person privacy.
Some people can consider that privacy is not that important and also that those that think too much of this are going into the conspiracy theory zone.
Which is not true, why not keeping it invisible but legal (because of the public ledger) if it`s possible, but it is what it is and this thinking might block easy adoption.
Thus this idea with IOT which screams end user security/privacy.
PS: verge can go for combined "human" and "things privacy" , not sure about the branding/ specialization aspect in respect with the market info overflow. this can be further on discussed.
cheers

im not so sure i understand. are you suggesting we run verge's blockchain through the internet of things? if so, it's not really a great idea. no one is going to want to install verge on their washing machine/dishwasher/thermostat/etc. as it stands right now, the internet of things is not very secure and is often exploited to perform attacks. (see here: http://www.npr.org/2016/10/22/498954197/internet-outage-update-internet-of-things-hacking-attack-led-to-outage-of-popula) also, most devices on the iot do not have an option to install additional software. please clarify what you are explaining.

I think i was able to decipher what he was asking.... ....or maybe not... but to me i could see Verge as the backbone for a lot of "Internet of Things" transactions because of the coin supply, open ledger, and anonymity. Once Verge implements smart contracts, IOT transactions with Verge will be possible. I was also pondering the idea of Verge's blockchain being used in the autodriving infrastructure, Tesla, Inc. is developing. Elon Musk would be wise to break from the pack and create an ICO through the Verge network (so would a lot of businesses). For autocars he would want the information flow to be on the darknet so as not to allow hackers to identify any single person's vehicle for attack. Just throwing it out there, knowing you VergeDEV though, you've already got something up your sleeve in this regard. But one thing at a time right? Loving all the development at XVG! This VentureBeat article helped me understand IOT and blockchain alot better: https://venturebeat.com/2016/11/20/how-blockchain-can-change-the-future-of-iot/
