I downloaded the ethereum wallet but how much btc do i need to deposit to activate it
I didnt realise the ETH wallet required a cost to activate. Ill find out. |

The mist client takes a long time to sync and there are even a few known syncing issues. You "could" also download a somewhat recent version of the blockchain and import that in mist (at your own risk though). |

Incidentally, the wallet takes days to sync. Ive been at it for 3 days and still not there. Did you expereince the same? I've noticed some apparent syncing bugs in the Ethereum software which only seem to show up during the initial sync. Sometimes it stops syncing and never seems to restart. Also, I've had it eat up about 10+ GB of system memory. Hopefully the Ethereum guys will fix these problems. The thing is, you don't seem to see these problems once it is already sync'd so it may not be obvious to Ethereum devs. I found that closing the client, allowing the system to reclaim the memory (takes a few minutes), then re-opening it seems to help speed up syncing.(NOTE: I've been using the Linux Ethereum client geth+mist, but I assume it is the same on Windows/Mac) |

This is for anyone having issues syncing the Ethereum blockchain especially for those finding it extremely slow like I did. After a lot of hassle and giving up on a few occasions due to the slow sync speed I ended up doing a bit of research and found these 2 commands below. Managed to sync in a few hours instead of days by doing this.
Run both from the command line and replace /path/to/my/etherwallet_install/ with where you have the Ethereum wallet installed to.
/path/to/my/etherwallet_install/resources/node/geth removedb (Remove blockchain and state databases)
/path/to/my/etherwallet_install/resources/node/geth --fast (Enables fast syncing through state downloads)
My Ethereum wallet is located on a windows machine so the path for geth may differ on a linux machine it's been a while since a had Ethereum on a linux VM. Basically once geth has downloaded the blockchain and imported up to the lasted block it can be closed and then the Ethereum wallet can be started and it should sync the last few blocks and start up.
Hope this helps a few Trumpians out...

Lmao are you kidding there was no scam it was an educational course, anyone who spends $30,000 and doesn't research enough to realize its not for an associates or bachelors degree is a moron. Researching where you go to college is a massive decision not something you would ever get "scammed" on. Also there was no scam the courses he provided were informative and taught what they were supposed to teach, how is education a scam? That doesn't make any sense. Its a certificate program you take courses and you get a certificate of accomplishment. You people come out of the wood work trying to support Hillary the most vile horrible person on the face of the Earth. Look up Hillary Clinton will you lie to Americans on Youtube.
