Worse yet, their company forum is also down.

http://forum.bitsyn.com/viewforum.php
It's not just down. It's been replaced by some little squigly line html app or something. I have no idea.
Same true for http://bitsyn.com/
I feel like we're being trolled. Hard. I think I need to sit down.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

This is just incredible how these bitcoin asic companies are so odd.

Instead of putting up a page that was plain text saying we are working on our website they put
up some strange html that gives no information at all.

Do they really want to succeed or do they wish to scare away any rational person from sending them money for
batch #2 even if they ship this first batch of 300 units?

Everything they are doing now just gives me a very bad feeling. Like this is what we do to give ourselves
time to clean up any trace of what happened and to run home for the chinese new year with money in their
pockets. Seriously fucked up.

the troll comment above me about sums it up. either that or it is over. pick your poison as both options seem reasonable.

It's either black or white, and we will find it out soon.

My anger against what is wrong in the Bitcoin community is productive:
Bitcointa.lk - Replace "Bitcointalk.org" with "Bitcointa.lk" in this url to see how this page looks like on a proper forum (Announcement Thread)

Alright, their sites have seemingly been wiped of any personal data, is that what I can infer?

I have raised the alert level to Defcon 2.

P.S. It looks like it is a case of a naked template. Not of someone wiping their site intentionally.

My crazy "Chinese Government takes interest and confiscates everything" theory becomes less and less crazy. If the government did step in, it wouldn't be a surprise we don't hear anything from them anymore. Them "checking in" could just be government official who is reading the boards to find out what we know.

cue the music.....

EDIT: or it's a scam, of course. Take your pick.

The question is, if they are running with the cash, how does this make any sense at all?
If they have the asic and someone will receive them within a few days, how does this make any sense at all?

ngzhang logged in for about a minute about 20 minutes ago. It coincided with the site now becoming inaccessible. So they are reading us for certain.

Why they are ignoring us is a good question.

I am going to take a wild guess and say Ngzhang is in the USA but Bitsyncom (Yifu) is probably in China. It is rather idiotic to me that we should even have to bother with these kinds of worries.

1. since when are people under the impression bitsyncom = avalon-asic? they are two different sites with completely different purposes.

2. the support url is http://support.avalon-asic.com not the forum.bitsyn.com which I've retired about a month ago already...

As for new information, we are still dealing with the custom issues I've previously mentioned, but Jeff should receive his units within this week, and everything will be clear then.

All team member is running around deal with other issues like securing parts for next batch of orders and such, to put things in perspective we have cleaned the market of some certain parts like resistors and capacitors. We have to order directly from factories now, mountain of work to do.

to keep things interesting, here's a picture.

If I want to make an [Announcement] on this forum, do I need to provide proof to any of the mods? Or can I [Announce] whatever the fuck I want?

EDIT: It comes with legs so it doubles as a heated bar stool? Sweet  Cool
