Nice to hear that BitSyncom:)

However:
1. Would you be so kind with the mail containing tracking number to send us and invoice also. It is very important for me and probably for other folks to have it in hand before handling local custom procedures. It is pain in the ass to deal with customs not having invoice. What about Avalon name printed in the invoice - a word on that will be mostly welcomed
2. About Trade-in batch 2
Why you need to wait for FPGA to land as long we paid full amount already?

One week in advance is a  little bit low. Can you  inform us 2-3 weeks in advance so we can send FPGA to avoid batch 2 shipment delays because of that?
And can you clarify that: Trade-Ins/Old Customers - your unit will ship soon as we receive the FPGA and you've paid the difference.
I have already paid full amount for batch 2 order. I expect one of two to happen
Get additional ASIC PCB as bonus (pay some extra if needed - Lancelot board is priced at 399) or to get a refund amounting to 399 US at current BTC/USD rate when you got my FPGA in your hands

10X

+298 +600

--> it's March allready...

Or did you mean that we have to wait until May with this cryptic message in your last letter "May they enjoy the coming delicious crabs." ?

Just give it to us straight... talking in riddles is not everyone's cup of tea. Wink

If remaining unites of batch1 are gone by now (some boxes behind the pile) I guess the front machines have good chance of being first round of batch2 ready ship too. I'll miss my pgas.

should batch2 buyers have gotten that email? I did not. Can anyone please send copy to me? rudrigorc2@gmail.com

Hello Bitsyncom,

I and I guess everybody else would appreciate you being brutally honest about the status of production and shipment. We are (mostly) grown ups - we can take it.
Your company is in the unique position of being the only ASIC supplier available at the moment. You got nothing to loose except trust.

Thank you.

All I can say is that this is Bitcoin. I don't believe it until I see six confirmations.

I got the mail, sounds ok. Smiley

however this sentence sounds weird:

Regular Batch #2 Customers - Unfortunately you are not special.

Does this mean that we're going to wait for someone other then you guys from Avalon?

It just means that devs and trade-in customers will have their units shipped before regular customers.

That sounds fair, but are the regular customers going to depend on the will of old customers to send their units asap. And what if someone says it will trade in and never does it? And what if some of the fpga units get lost on the way, are the regular customers going to wait for all that to finish?

they said they will contact people in advance. might set a limit date to receive. who knows?

do you guys know how have an idea of how fpgas are going to be traded?

I im Beijing and have plenty of room to host some more boards while still mining and wait to Avalon call.
You know, I could mine in a less crowded mining field alone with my asic to come, but fuck it, lets turn all those Asics on in shorter time.

If someone think this might work, first confirm with them if the delivery is actually in Beijing, send me the board, if it arrives in safety Ill make sure they reach Avalon. Im open to proposals.

sigh,

shipping priority does not mean the order which shipping happen.

it kind of just means soon as we get a trade in order we will ship it, whilst regular order ships in parallel, they just fall under two queues as suppose to one.

I have to remember these things are not obvious, apologies.

I hope some day you can tell us about the shipping drama you've had, and that you've replaced your broker or something.

Are there still people who haven't had their order confirmed by Avalon from Batch #2?

Yep. Four support tickets in since 2/4 and not a single response from Avalon, save the automated "we've received your inquiry" mumbo-jumbo. My account shows no recent orders, though walletbit confirms payment receipt and batch #.

If you have gotten a confirmation from Walletbit, it has been stated from Avalon that they have your order with the information on the Walletbit receipt.   I contacted WB they confirmed and Avalon confirmed the day in Batch #2 pre-order.

Wouldn't it be helpful though it they straightened out their website so that it shows orders correctly?  I for one would feel better knowing that Avalon actually does have my orders lined up properly in their queue.  What I expect though is that they'll forget or miss shipping my orders because they weren't in their system. Seeing the website straightened out I'm sure would leave everyone in a happier place.

Avalon is surely swamped with building and shipping right now, but they need to hire someone to straight up do order management and customer relations. This is getting ridiculous.
