During turning on the debug option I found out I have to start your miner with sudo.
It now mines, I apologize for my wrong bug report.

Thank you for your good work

Offtopic question, Can i use a Usb Pcie Riser on my notebook for gaming?
runing at 1x will a r9 290x or 390 work right?
Nope. I pressume you would like to connect to your Notebook via USB. The USB cables are only to transmit signal, does not actually use USB protocol. (USB was chosen by manufacturers because the cables and headers are readily available and cheap)

I am sure it can be done with a custom adaptor with PCI-E -> USB interpreter or even a PCI-E to PCMCIA Int,

If by some chance you have a Notebook with a PCI-E x1 slot, Then you *could*, but if your notebook has a PCI-E x1 slot...chances are its a high end gaming Laptop anyway,(desktop in a flex box), would be interesting to see it done.

Either way, running a GFX card for gaming on the south bridge  (where the USB controller usually is), or from a PCI-E x1 slot is definitely not recommended. Bandwidth would be terrible. Game load times are bad enough these days.....

Hi Claymore,

Off topic this..... are you still updating your XMR miner?

Is this a viable 3rd coin, after DCR and SIA for dual mining?

If I provided you good and useful info or just a smile to your day, consider sending me merit points to further validate this Bitcointalk account ~ useful for future account recovery...

Hi Claymore,
Off topic this..... are you still updating your XMR miner?
Is this a viable 3rd coin, after DCR and SIA for dual mining?

I don't see ways to make my XMR miner faster, but right now I test it with latest cards and in a few hours I will release new version that will detect latest cards and use best settings for them.

xmr or lbry i think
xmr is very cool algorytm
xmr has bye orders more than eth Smiley

XMR cannot be added to ETH dual miner as the second coin, though in theory it could be added instead of ETH, i.e. as first coin.
I will check LBRY and some other coins very soon.

Please read Readme and FAQ in the first post of this thread before asking any questions, probably the answer is already there.

Could you link to your official downloads for XMR miner?    Can it be run simultaneously with your ethminer?

I tried v. 6.4 on Ubuntu 16.04 64 bit, driver is amdgpu-pro_16.30.03-315407, kernel is 4.4.0-34-generic

the output is
Code:
./ethdcrminer64 -epool coinotron.com:3344 -ewal username.3 -esm 2 -epsw 3 -allpools 1 -mode 1 -etha 2

ETH: 1 pool is specified
Main Ethereum pool is coinotron.com:3344

Isn't this the target platform? Can I help debugging?

SAPPHIRE NITRO RADEON RX 470 8G

and i have test the option

-cvddc 1050
-mvddc 1050

but if i reduce the mV - nothing change on the Power Consumtion (I measure the power consumption with a calibrated electricity Watt meter)

what do i worng?

From OP or Readme:

-cvddc   set target GPU core voltage, multiplied by 1000. For example, "-cvddc 1050" means 1.05V. You can also specify values for every card, for example "-cvddc 900,950,1000,970". Supports latest AMD 4xx cards only in Windows.
Note: for NVIDIA cards this option is not supported.

-mvddc   set target GPU memory voltage, multiplied by 1000. For example, "-mvddc 1050" means 1.05V. You can also specify values for every card, for example "-mvddc 900,950,1000,970". Supports latest AMD 4xx cards only in Windows.

Checking dual hashrate to see if it's about right. I get 30 Mh/s with a R9 290 with ETH mining only. But with ETH + Sia I get about 15 Mh/s and 920 Mh/s (sia).

Does that sound about right? Windows 10 + 15.12

What can i do with this?

Thanks

if you want to just locate it to turn down OC settings then set it to 100 % fan and then set the others to 20 % using the miner.  load the miner and watch which fan jumps in speed.

what i would do is load up 6 instances of cdm using the -di    GPU indexes, default is all available GPUs. For example, if you have four GPUs "-di 02" will enable only first and third GPUs (#0 and #2).  so load up each one with -di of each gpu and soon enough you will find which is faulting.  and it wont crash the rest of the cards  if your lucky you can just single out -di 4 and then load one with -di 01235.  troubleshoot from there with oc etc.  once you locate the card then first off i would reset to default settings and try again.  If that still fails id check the psu voltage drop while it runs.  can cause some issues ive found.  Lastly try loading the newest drivers if this is a new rig.  have you had this running before and what version cdm.  Need a bit more info then what you provide.

Best Regards

Hello,

Thanks  for answer. Yes this is a new rig

So, this is a oc / psu voltage problem / driver problem? Not the gpu hardware? It mine fine for a time, in the past i mine for 2 days with out crash.

, when gpu 4 crash the rig still on but with no video signal and i can not connect to it with team viewer, is this normal? I have to manually restart o turn on.

I need to change my gpu? Or is the others problems?

I have a 1300w gold edga power supply  for 4 r9 390x and a 850w for 2 r9 390x.

just a quick heads up, press s and verify your incorrect shares.  I reverted to 5.3 because all above 6 gave me about 1% incorrect shares.  after much testing I can confirm the incorrect share problem is real with the newer versions, all else being equal.  why?  no idea, maybe claymore could look into it.  running 4 rigs, 380s, 390s, one 280x, 470s, win7 and one rig win10

I seem to have discovered a bug.

When dual mining ETH/SIA, and I disable a GPU, both ETH and SIA stop mining on that particular GPU.  However, when I re-enable the GPU, ETH starts mining again, but SIA still is in the "off" state.  Only way to remedy this is to close the miner, and re-open it.  Not a huge problem, but a pain in the ass, nonetheless.

i need to read the manual.  sorry   Tongue
