We are pleased to announce that Coinbase has added support for Ethereum. With support for Ethereum on Coinbase, consumers can now easily and securely trade, send, and store Ether. To get started, visit the “Trade” page on coinbase.com or tap on the “Buy” or “Sell” options on our iOS and Android apps. Of course, all our services will continue to support bitcoin and we look forward to adding additional digital currencies in the future. Kind regards, The Coinbase Team so eth got listed on coinbase to counterbalance the volume on polo? ))) hahahahaha what a good joke! )))) Coinbase consistently pumping ETH after HF while Polo does ninja ETC addition and now has greater ETC volume than ETH. Maybe it will become ETC exchanges vs ETH exchanges. fuck this shit ... i mean coinbase ... https://twitter.com/krakenfx/status/758011228304257024kraken is going for ETC!!!! All existing ETH exchanges are obligated to deliver the new/original ETC asset to their clients. It's like a public company spinoff. Expect a LOT more exchanges to follow suit (basically all of them). Coinbase is in an unusual position since they had no ETH clients until today, so they don't need to support ETC.

I asked this on ETH thread but I will ask it here as well:
If you had ETH in a wallet before the fork and took a copy, used one on the fork and the other on non-fork you would get the same amount of ETC keeping your ETH on different wallets, yes/no?

All I can say is if you see ETH break down through the .014-.015 btc it is going to be a long ride down... The rats fleeing the sinking forked ship are going to cause a massive explosion in ETC. All I can say is have your life boats ready cause I think it is gonna happen and possibly sooner than anyone expects!
I think this will happen but it will be a temporary deal, the foundation will probbaly fork again to separate the networks and then when Auger and other working DAPS are released on the forked network we will see another value transfer. For now i sold 60% for my eth and moving my portfolio into ETC as well as my 2GH hash rate Looks to me like Vitalik basically said that today that they will fork again... I don't know if that was intended to be a threat or just how he intended for people to take it. Funny thing is the fork bailed him and his buddies out. The ETC launch they get a TON more coin and are even richer now. No matter how this shakes out they walk away FATTER CATS. It is really sad. They bailed themselves out and still get a windfall from ETC.

As said earlier.. this is really early to say anything. ETH still has 500% higher pricing, and a muuuuuch safer network. Also, the hacker has like 13% or more of the total supply. Very much depending on him. Also, people are noticing now that they have a ton of ETC.. Very much depending on them. There are 80ish million ETC out there somewhere... which is like 8000% more than the total ETC for sale on polo/bt. This could be a 1 day adventure... or a long journey. Some people are going to look REALLY REALLY fucking dumb after this. The question is ... who.

Will we allow Ethereum to be "managed" and "centralized" for the benefit of the few? We are voting right now with our wallets, and miners... If ETH wins well those of us mining won't be profitable for much longer at the rate of diff increases so it won't matter. Most of us will be out in a couple of months anyway at the current rate of diff. If ETC wins this battle for hearts, minds, wallets, and miners then almost anything can happen next...

They bailed themselves out and still get a windfall from ETC. Well they are richer in ETC, but since they would have had to be holding ETH at fork to have said ETC, they would have taken significant losses on their ETH holdings. The only way they are getting a "windfall" is if ETC price + ETH price is greater than what ETH price would have been had ETC never happened, or if they dump their ETC and then ETH price recovers.

Not sure if I understand that question correctly but you will have the same number of ETC tokens as the number of ETH tokens before the fork. Just make sure you DON'T send coins out from any of the pre-fork addresses. Split the coins and use new addresses.

Sadly this will likely be a long journey, which means longer time before there is healing and recovery for Ethereum. I don't think there is going to be a "winner" when it is all said an done. I can only hope for a speedy and decisive move that puts this on a path to healing sooner rather than later.

My head is starting to spin...I'm a small gpu miner and was using my original basic ehtereum wallet from git hub. First, as advised on the ethereum forum I changed from wallet version 6_1 to 8_1 to follow the fork (even though I didn't like it) coins I have on bittrex are showing as ethereum classic. I've shut my mining rig down from ethermine.org since I wasn't sure what it's mining. I'm inclined to put things back like they were but tbh...I don't know wtf to do.
To make matters worse.....the devs at yocoin are trying to use the ethereum chain (the forked one I think) to run their yocoin/ethereum token from. I managed to sell alot of what I had in the old scrypt yocoin before they went haywire but still have a fair amount. If I swap to the new forked eth/yocoin token.....what do I do with it.
Stanley....Here's a another FINE mess you've gotten us into.
