Wow!!  I have been sleeping. I just woke up and looked at the charts,  Shocked  poor ETH
It's like having to kill your last and favourite goat because you are ill from hunger.  Sad but necessary.
It's a new world today,  Grin

I found this.

Chris Ellis talks about where they went wrong.
Poor Chris...  He is not well, but if you can get past that and hear him out...
It's 40min long and a few days old now, but Chris, you have it spot on!  Get well soon mate!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1XiAwSpXbI

Curry goat, rice and peas anyone?
enjoy!

Paula

Or from the Frontpage?

Its still like this.. Can't mine at all.. connect, job timeout, dc and it repeats..

http://gastracker.io (wont let you search an address - thats what block explorers are meant to do - I thought?)

You need the transaction ID to see the balance of the address the etc was sent to/from.

Maybe try entering it in the url directly: http://gastracker.io/addr/YOURADDRESS

Thanks - that actually works - cheers

I can mine eth perfectly with it.. I don't know why it kept giving me connected and authed then job timeout and then dc to reconnect after 20 sec.. sigh.. I'm mining etc + dcr, unless its not suppose to work that way..? But I think its okay? Since etc is just eth in code and dual mining is okay for eth/dcr therefore I think its okay for etc/dcr..

I was never a fan of ethereum myself but I'm ready to give this Ethereum Classic a shoot , could anyone tell me where I can buy it (without the need of ID verification or other information's) and the wallet I could use to store them ?

If you have other Altcoins https://shapeshift.io

And as for a wallet you can use without waiting for a sync  https://www.myetherwallet.com/
Choose ETC or ETH after you generate the wallet.  Do not use it on the other chain than you have selected or you will loose your coin.
e.g. do not buy on one chain and sell on another.  Stick with your choice for that wallet.

I'm not sure I get it right , I made an account on Poloniex , would that be safe to use and buy ETC from it ? and holding them their ?

If you want to hold, you should never ever leave your coins in an online wallet, especially not an exchange. But it is safe to buy from there, yes.

Poloniex is good to buy from.
You can keep coin there short term, i know miners that have mined to the exchange address.

Then sort out your myetherwallet after you make your purchase.  enjoy!

Cease and Desist

To Bitpop and all other creators/retainers of Ethereum Classic.

You may not be aware of this, but "Ethereum" is a registered trademark, your reckless use of the Ethereum brand has caused substantial losses to our shareholders (in the millions of dollars), in which you can be held responsible.

This is a 0-day notice to immediately change, or remove, in every place possible, your description of Ethereum Classic that does not have any name or mark confusingly similar.

We are choosing not to reveal our identity and give you an opportunity to comply. You are hereby notified that if you do not comply with this request, we will immediately file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and the Attorney General's office in your state. Civil and criminal claims will be pursued.

Guys did you realise the 0-day notice is over?!?! We are all liable now... Well at the speed ETHf is dropping, I wonder if the foundation will be in a position to pay the registered mail for the complaint... Swiss Post can be quite expensive Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
