I don't think you realize the amount of money that is being made out of this whole situation. ETH tanks and ETC shoots up, ETC tanks and ETH shoots up. It's and endless circle, and aslong as you do it right there is so much money to be made. None of the coins will go away anytime soon, people are too invested at this point to just let either die.

all the buying now is just buy the whales who can pump it again at the expense of miners...I'm not into helping huge bitcoin baggers use my hash power through a 'proxy coin' to increase their holdings...the 'price' will always be at the whim of a few thousand bitcoin baggers who manipulated this coin like a rag-doll, and played us all like violins during the process...

bitcoin whales control all of crypto now...since all cryptos are essentially 'pegged' in value to bitcoin...it's the 'reserve currency' of crypto..and it's 'central bank'...decentralization was a great idea, until greed got in the way....the only way forward out of this situation will be a coin that actually gains real usage like bitcoin has...but bitcoin is not decentralized at all...it's controlled by a precious small few, who in turn, control other cryptos by the 'pegging' of value to bitcoin, not to actual value of use. Pity..a sad day in crypto.

Very good indeed! I read the article in full. I never stopped mining ETC...just had some serious questions (partly out of disgust at watching whales manipulate it like Pinocchio, and partly to flush out some folks who were serious about 'guiding' (not dictating) a vision of ETC. Well, Charles wrote eloquently on these points. After reading this thoughtful article, I feel once again this project and platform have real long-term merit, and that I ought to continue my little contribution mining. Thank you for posting! Now it's back to mining and supporting ETC as I always wished to do. Great to have some questions seriously viewed and responded to. Very much appreciated..now, on with the show...on with the fun! ETC once again is my coin/platform of choice (not that I'm so important...but maybe others with similar concerns will continue along as I will too). I encourage you all to do so! ETC>>>let's get it done!!

Roselee, some can take losses and trudge on...I have limited hashpower and funds...maybe etc will rise as a lot hope...but as a hobby miner, I do need to at least cover my electrical bills...didn't want to leave...love fighting for the underdog...until I realize I'm the underdog...hope the best for all crypto...to free themselves from being 'pegged' to bitcoin instead of having some value as a medium of exchange for goods and services in the world. Good luck everybody....I will still mine crypto..love the gear, but also have to remind myself I need to make enough to payfor it too...and hopefully a little extra for my efforts to build my rigs and some pocket money in cryptoland...carry on..I will watch with interest...but ETC is now concentrated in the hands of very large holders...the price will rise and fall as they determine...I've done enough...this is just a market analysis, not a indictment of anyone still in ETC...good luck.

Don't be so quick to make judgments on price.  Look at 7 day, ETC is far from dead.  Hope you didnt panic sell at a loss

Now the bright side to the down price pressure is we are shaking out the weak hands and hopefully will flush out any ETC that is still in "hostile" hands that are using it as a weapon against ETC.  The sooner that happens the more stability we will have.  It is clear that the ETH insiders have a mountain of ETC and are not afraid to use it to attack.  So these weaker prices might flush some of that out of the woodwork.  

The sooner ETC finds support and a price bottom while everyone is screaming the sky is falling the better.  I am seeing a lot of trash talk on Polo Trollbox feeding nonsense about no devs and no future.  It is time to make sure that everyone knows that there are devs, there is a future, and there is a plan.  So announcements along those lines will help a great deal as we can repeat them in places where there is some impact.

Positive note is that with so many running from ETC the diff is falling and profitability is returning to mining.  Always a good thing

The posts about my language was about one post which was the "bs legal must stop using eth blah,blah,blah. I told them to f off. o well, some times after spending 16 hours reading, posting, hosting cryptoland, you reach the point that you cant hold back from the fudders.
