I don't think there's much hope of exchanges stopping the hackers either.  They can simply distribute it OTC for -5% or -10% below market rate to avoid the exchanges

Until ethf fails which will be soon

I'm not so confident that ethf failure = etc win

If ethf fails, then maybe people switch away from ethereum to a completely new platform.

A possibility is the eth foundation disappearing once they finish pillaging all the money. Etc is all decentralized volunteers

Hello people, need a little help

I have a very small amount of ETH/ETC (that I got from a faucet on february) that I wish to convert to BTC via shapeshift.
Because my limited internet plan I can only use an online wallet (ethereumwallet.com, myetherwallet.com), seems there will not be problems with ETH, but what about ETC?
To be safe I emailed shapeshift, and they replied:
"If you send from Myetherwallet.com your exchange will not complete and we'll have to refund the ETH/ETC to you. I recommend sending the funds to another ETH wallet that does not send out using a smart contract."

So, the disclaimer in Myetherwallet.com (that using shapeshift "may lead to delays") is untrue?

Is there such an ETC wallet that "does not send out using a smart contract"?

ETC Mist Wallet currently has working conversions and easy access to Shapeshift.io's Shifty API. Revenue is generated through use of the Shifty API, revenue from this feature are currently collected by @whatisgravity. Any revenue fees will be handed over to the community development initiative.

This is a test pre-release, the OSX application is not signed because our organization does not yet have a key and the windows builds are not thoroughly tested. If the release is successful, signed Mist Browser builds will be released alongside a Mist Wallet release with enhanced security.

Please report any issues, and provide detailed information to make it easier for us to reproduce and resolve any issues quickly. Improved build scripts and in depth Linux build instructions are in the process of being edited for release.

been watching the shit in polo trollbox.  I'm pretty sick of quality of Moral fiber from the ETH supporters and those who love FUD.  They all seem to be spoiled assholes.

You guys know, I'm lambo all the time, No FUD.   I only like the first half of Pump and Dump.  When I see lots of FUD happen, I get mad as hell.  I was planning on buying more lisk but have now decided to purchased 40 BTC worth of ETC at 320k.  I think ETC has too many haters for whatever damn reason so I will be helping out the ETC cause because there is nothing better than Freedom from the controlling elites.

MyEtherWallet.com supports etc.  generate a new wallet but be sure you select etc each time you send.  How long ago did you talk to shapeshift.  They have a working spitter now.

Instead of taking just some of the profits and leaving some for others, we have now become accustomed to bots dumping the shit out of all the markets.  Once people get screwed, they easily screw over more people with whole stack dumps.  

Simply put, it's a disgusting behavior cycle.  I got screwed so I'm going to screw you.  It never ends now.  

People who FUD get what they want but slowly people who they manipulate leave the market and take their losses with them killing every single market for a small % short term gain.  Makes me sick to my stomach how greedy people are becoming.

Like the opposite of one of those commercials where one good deed gets passed on to another.   The greedy just keep on destroying everything, instead of everyone winning a little we all end up lose a lot especially in the faith in humanity sector.

MyEtherWallet.com supports etc.  generate a new wallet but be sure you select etc each time you send.  How long ago did you talk to shapeshift.  They have a working spitter now.

So what.  A week ago it had double the volume of ETH.  There will be profit taking.  If you are paying attention to a real chart on the 4h, we are massivly oversold and unless you got another 1100 btc to crash this party to LOWER than 300k then we are about to have a massive rally on ETC, promise.

We have between 17 and 33% of ETH hashrate.  There will be two chains until ETH dies.  Its no longer about price.  Ethereum are crooks and will soon be under investigation.
