@Gaglam i still trust the Ethereum Foundation over the Banking System. When Greece failed as a country, the government with the banks, took 70% of everyones bank balance and gave it to Germany. Then they imposed a maximum of 60euros per day withdraw limit. The Ethereum Foundation have never done anything like that.
It will get adopted quick enough when the negative interest rates yield no economic growth. When the value of fiat stars to fail. When banks start to charge to make a deposit. That's when the adoption will kick in.
When the banks start to fail. And they will.
Moreover: Ethereum Classic is not even in Beta. We are not ready for mass adoption. The Foundation is not ready either, they proved that with the Dao. This is the early stages of something big and it needs to be right. First, all the ETC has to move into the hands of the people that believe in it. That is what is playing out right now in this price war.
Yes, that negative interest rate monster is coming... And it will sweep the financial system everywhere faster than anyone expects. People with their head in the sand think these fees and charges only affect the banks... Imagine their shock when those fees go directly to the "retail" consumer of banking services. I imagine they will start off trying to say only accounts of certain size or certain types will have fees at first, but before long it will be across the board. Most people have NO IDEA this is about to happen to them. I frankly am concerned that we won't have the infrastructure in place to be able to dodge this hit as it comes.

I totally agree, but the infrastructure is already here. We just have to learn how to use it effectively and that will always be ongoing. When it happens we will hit the ground running. Anyone seen our current market depth? Yeah i saw it. This is a good thing, that people are still prepaered to buy. But that will not pump th price for now, because buy orders are posted to low.. But they provide security. Soo good thing.

.... At some point when we stop thinking in terms of fiat we will have finally made inroads to where we want to be. ....
I belive that Fiat money era is comming slowly to end. And it will need new reset soon then they will mix it with gold/silver again. If they would add BTC to it it would skyrocket crypto but guys in charge have 60+ years so not with this generation. Fiat money (low interst rates) are ruining pensions founds right now people are getting 1% while governments are printing like crazy, bank with free money can make deals on market so it is easy for them making deals with high leverage. They can borrow at 0% any amount of cash and here crypto comes here we don't have free meal earn coins and you will have your own, in most of cases you can't change rules like goverments bailouts, investmets all for free fiat money I home that crypto will go strong soon and solve some financial problems.

On the infrastructure front I am thinking about the scale things need to grow in order to handle the volume of transactions. Today BTC is a good example of "not gonna work" when trying to do real time retail or conventional transactions. The time it takes and the processing is just too slow. If suddenly everyone started flooding to crypto we would be in a world of hurt. Which brings us back to the recommendations for the changes to ETC. Staying strictly a POW coin/token will limit the scale and processing capabilities of the network. Which is why I hope that the recommendations for a hybrid and even a POC type transaction processing makes more sense. We will need to scale and in a big way!

So also would like to know what are the projects based on ETC? Any dapp that ran on Ethereum will run on Classic, have a play with these, http://dapps.ethercasts.com/More on the way but we don't want to rush things and EF it all up. You cannot undo mistakes here. Immutable, Secure, Classic Phone wallets are due early October.

And most good project like Augur, Digixdao and others refused to be on ETC chain...... Didn't see any future for this coin.... I saw only one purpose is just to sell stollen eth that now is (etc) from DAO and gain big profit to hacker... also if will be some mistakes with their projects ETH devs can support them and made any kind of fork: soft fork, hardfork and others....
