Hi friends!

tell me please: is it still profitable to mine zec?

While mining my asus r390x has 85 degree celsius! Wondering how many watts it took for month ?

have only 300H/s ... about 48$ per month

How long(months) can live Asus r390x (it has price 495$) with 85 degree celsius?

Will I take any profit per Year with current zec price?

not sure... but possibility to lost video card very high...

Please, advice me

Cheers

Such cards consume about 300 watts per hour. Normal operating temperature up to 90 degrees, but I would not advise you to keep it more than 80 degrees. I have a card that worked for about 3 years in a more complex operation, and they are still alive. Some have trouble with fan, but I had no such problems.

What destroys the silicone structure is changes from hot to cold and back and the faster you go the worse it gets. Same goes for the other components.

To all those asking about profitability of coins: go to http://whattomine.com/ GPU section, choose 6 of 480 / 6 of 380, select all protocols and click calculate. Compare.
Their numbers are good.

EDIT: I'd say if you have rx400 ETH is the best now, if you have older cards with UV maybe zec (depending on your power costs)

Dear Friends, Thank You very much for info and advice about ASUS R390x!

I just bought this Asus R390x. This is absolutely new video card. I didn't do any overclock. It has very good one(I beleive)  fabric cooler, hope there is good connection with radiator and chip...

I don't want to lose this card(about 500$) for 48$ in month and wondering: How long can live this card 24/7 doing minning with 85 degree C ?

If just one year : I will eat shit  for free Grin Grin Grin In one year I will made 550$ minus electricity and will be that card still workable after this job...

Cheers

BTW card has almost all time in mining about 85-86 degree fans have from 45 till 55% may be if it will be critical temperature fans will have more %?
Or I have better to set up fans manual ?

If it is STRIX- 10 days before fan fail ( my expreience ) ... I RMA'd it twice, changed and after 10 days fan dies. 3 times.

Just downclock and under volt.  The card stays cool.

From my experience not so much matters the temperature, but good ventilation. You may have 35C around but with good ventilation you should not have more then 70 degree. So yes, I think it is better to ensure good air flow. At least, you may try.

My 390X Nitro now mine at 310-312 s/s with 68-70C @ 45-55% fan. But environment is around 17.5C. At 22 they still will be 70C but cooler might be at 60-80%. Rigs are open, no cases. If I shut all windows, the temp immediately will rise.

Exactly could be lovely choice cause probably I will save this card and will make profit in second year )

Any idea what will be good choice for that card ? no more then 75 degree?

Cheers

Thank You! I made mistake when put this card for minning in close case!!! Bad ventilation!!!
I open it now and have 81 degree on 41% fans!!!

You gave me good advice! Beer from my side!

Cheers!

Better to put some quality fans in the case to get a good airflow. I've got an open rig and a closed rig in the same room... the closed rig stays cooler with 3 corsair case fans blowing 'fresh' air round.

Added more samples to OP for encrypted connection:

miningpoolhub SSL/TLS connection (this pool detects encryption automatically so it uses same port as for unencrypted connection):
   ZecMiner64.exe -zpool ssl://us-east.equihash-hub.miningpoolhub.com:20570 -zwal YourLogin.YourWorkerName -zpsw YourWorkerPassword

 coinmine SSL/TLS connection:
   ZecMiner64.exe -zpool ssl://zec.coinmine.pl:7017 -zwal YourLogin.YourWorkerName -zpsw YourWorkerPassword

On this topic. What pool do people see the most consistent earning with? Seems flypool has ran on 'bad luck' (if you believe that) for weeks now. Getting sort of tired of it.

I've been using nanopool, haven't bothered with trying others.
