I'm running into an issue with Zcash Claymore's miner, I have 4 new rigs of 6x RX470 4gb Ref with the exact same parts and the same problem on each of them.

The GPU#0 is running at 40 hashrate and the other 5 is running at 205 hashrate... Where is this problem coming from ?
You can connect a monitor to the one that works at 40, sometimes i have this problem and plug a monitor resolve that

This line concerns me:
GPU0 t=68C fan=82%, GPU1 t=52C fan=16%
I have 2 GPU's running: 2x HD 7950

GPU1 seems to be acting lazy. How comes that the fan is only at 16% and t = 52C? It seems to me like the card is not performing as it should. Is this behavior normal?

There does not seem to be any ouput  about the amount of sols. Is there a way I can calculate this looking at the amount of Hashes per second?

I'm concerned about the fanspeed of GPU 0 as well, it's about 87%. What is the normal fan speed while mining?

GPU 1 is giving you 172 sol/s, whiich is lower than GPU 0's 201.

have you attempted any clocking with the cards?  it may be worth checking with GPU-z or afterburner what clock/memory settings the cards are using.

as for the fan usage have you set a -tt figure in the batch file? the lower you set the temperature the harder the fans have to work

I have not tried overclocking the cards myself. The cards are second hand. I installed GPU-z and found a difference in the memory settings of both cards:
http://imgur.com/a/X4r6T

The first card is at a CPU clock of 900, while the second one is at a CPU clock of 1000.
So If I change the CPU clock, I will get better performance, is this correct? Guess I'll start looking around of how this can be done.

I did not set a -tt in the batch file. I did specify however the miner should stop if the cards get over 80 degrees.

Can you send me a private message with your BTC adress, I'll send you a little something because you helped me a lot with that answer, it's very appreciated.

Hi Friends!

Can You advise me- what better to buy to have more H/s in minnig ZEC and spend less electricity?

Which card(s) is more profitable for minning ?

rx390x - 495$

rx390 -  420$

two rx470 4GB ram- 250$   or

two rx470 8GB ram- 304$  (do i need more RAM for mine ZEC or anything else?)

two rx480 8GB ram- 329$

Thank You So much!

The real price for 390 cards is around 250$. Don't look at the old amazon offers which are ridiculously high. However I warn you (and everyone planning to invest in new rigs) that most probably by the time of arriving of the cards, the profit will drop so much that the ROI will be impossible in near future. Look at the plummeting prices of ETH and ETC curently. The pressure on ZEC and XMR is too high now, so they will not hold the current price for long.

I agree with that. If you pay more than $0.12 per kWh, it is not profitable to mine the ZEC, let alone ROI.

Buying 8 rigs to mine just zec wouldn't be wise ATM
Now mining something else in the down time of zec wouldn't be bad
I pay .13kWh and I haven't had a month yet that I didn't profit from
Granted some months I did better than others
Someone that pays high for power like me just has to keep a closer eye on the market

Well, I won't be mining just ZEC obviously .. Would just be whatever is the most profitable.

I have ton of dead Nvidia video cards, especially that EVGA brand, 2 years max. I have been used and abused ton of AMD video cards and none is dead. I promised myself to never ever buy Nvidia chip video card again.

Want to share the specs and how you used those cards? E.g. approx. capacity usage and how many hours did they last before they died? How many alternatives have you tried and what's your personal most durable one now?

Nothing modify, just plug and play stuffs. A couple EVGA 9800GTX, a couple EVGA 8600GT, a few 8600 none EVGA, all dead within a couple years. I have 4 computers at our house. My impression at this point is to preventing Nvidia at all cost.

I have to agree with him there. I've been in the IT field for many years and Nvidia based cards fry a LOT more often than AMD/ATI Cards as far as I can remember back. Just by normal use, heck even swapping them into different computers they can just get zapped by static E . Never had this happen on AMD/ATI cards/

I like how they (Nvidias)are usually faster, more stable but I think that has been all driver related f-ups from AMD.

i cant speak about nvidia quality but i have been pretty hard on some of my older amd gpu's and they have stood the test of time.

in the post pentium early days amd had a bad rep about burning up when trying to overclock too much or play with frequencies in a haphazard fashion.. looks like they have learned from earlier designs and created a very robust product in result.

i remember seeing a lot of posts in tech forums about people having to "bake" dead 8800s (especially ones pushed hard in folding@home and such) to get the solder to reflow, bringing them back to life. worked quite often but was usually only temporary.

Personally, I am taking advantage of this time in mining history and am buying up all the 280x's I can afford.  There will be a time when I am glad I did.

@Claymore
Can you please fix this issue in miner manager:

In this case I run two miners(ZEC and ETH) with -di 012 and with -di 3, yet I'm getting two lines of 4 GPU temps

i don't understand why you guys always ask for new version f.t higher speed. the majority of miners are using Claymore's app. If your speed improve by 10% for example, other miners will get 10% also. End up, you will get the same amount of zcash. You won't get any benefit out of new version except for higher difficulty.

Would you care to elaborate this claim? How does difficulty and price relate to each other?

Most of us don't make huge profits mining any coin, but we like messing around with it. I think that's one of the biggest reasons.
