I need advice about pool, at the moment we are mining on coinmine.pl, all online calculators are saying that I should get 6.6 zec a day, but I got only half of it, I'm aware that this is the mater of many factors, but I know that something is wrong, your advice would be much appreciated

v9 on rx400  +5% power consumption, +15% hashrate
I'm getting 6-9% diff max here on the RX 480's.
+25-35S/s.

+25H/s on R-380 (v9-165H/s)

I have 6x 480RX, mining ZEC is Ok. As soon as I start mining ETH or ETC - in some period of time it hangs. Why? (Then I need to restart the miner or the comp.)
Could you please help me?
More info required. What PSU are you using? What are your memclock, gpuclock, and voltage settings? What is your commandline?

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool etc-eu1.nanopool.org:19999 -ewal... -epsw x -mclock 2100 -gser 1 -ftime 10
I had before -mclock 2150. With 2100 - the same.
PSU - ? What is it? (sorry)
PSU=power supply unit. Reset all your clocks etc. back to default, get it working stable, then adjust. You didn't say if you are using a modded vbios which makes a difference and I forgot to ask. My first suspicion is your PSU isn't powerful enough. ETH algo uses more power than ZEC algo.

Just for starters you can add a few things to your commandline:  (note: first I would try -r 0 which will just restart the miner. If you use -r 1 it will reboot the rig using the reboot.bat)

EthDcrMiner64.exe -wd 1 -r 0 -epool etc-eu1.nanopool.org:19999 -ewal... -epsw x

And add another .bat in the Claymore folder named something like reboot.bat if you set -r 1:

Code:
shutdown /r /t 5 /f
I tried -wd 1, -r 0 before - the same. It is default value. At this moment I do not set these parameters.
How to reset all clocks back to default? Where should I look?
PSU - what kind of data should I inform?
With -r 1  is interesting. But the problem is when the miner starts (after rebooting), the very first time it gives 170mhs, then I must restart the miner and it gives 181 mhs. So if I use -r 1, and the system reboots, I'll have only 170 mhs.
Can it be because of GPU driver. I have 16.11.4

You posted that coinmine.pl paid for 830h/s and dwarfpool paid for 1100h/s when you rigs avg was 1080h/s. It means I should switch to it right ? sorry for obvious questions but I'm sleepy as hell been awaky ~28 hrs

@rozsada try the 16.9 drivers. How many watts is your PSU?

@mettalmag yes, dwarfpool is paying me roughly the same as Claymore miner says

Yea. The spikes are quite real.

One of my pc's has a 730w psu powering a rx 480 and a 280x. This combination has been running stable for months without problems (even eth/sia dual mining). A few minutes ago, the pc rebooted and said "a power surge was detected - press F1 to continue". There is nothing else running on the system except claymore v9.

All settings are stock. That was the only "crash". Everything seems stable now.

I have come along ways with the help I have found here. You could tell if you saw any of my previous posts in this thread. I thank you all.

Today I started using claymore v.9 with 3 msi R9 390's on an asrock h81 btc v2.0 .

The core, memory or temp and temperature are not showing in MSI Afterburner and of course if they can't be seen there Claymore is not seeing them either.

Here is a screen shot

http://imgur.com/nTBVVje

I started with the most current driver and I am currently using 15.12

I have looked through the bios on the mobo and I don't see anything there, however if I use pcie as primary I get no video output.

Any advice as to clock speeds would be appreciated as well.

I am at a loss and hope that you may have seen this before. I would appreciate any idea's you might have.

TIA

Coinmine I've been aware for awhile. That's why I switched to flypool only to find the same anf very unstable. As with coinmine flypool also reports 10% under. Testing dwarfpool now and so far do good.

What exactly did you get during the last 5 hours that Dwarfpool didn't find any block?
Dwarfpool needs more hashing power to become more profitable than flypool
Till then flypool rules...

I can see you don't understand how mining works lol. It doesn't matter if you are on a small pool that gets few block, vs. a large pool that gets a ton of them. On the small pool you get a higher share of the block instead of splitting it among thousands of miners. Over time it is a wash, same same, no difference.

No idea why people are still mining ZEC with their 470/480. Basically throwing $0.15-$0.20 daily per card away in profits.

New Feature: Encrypted stratum mining

We are happy to announce that Flypool has implemented stratum mining via an encrypted and authenticated SSL connection. Currently encrypted stratum mining is only supported by Claymores miner and support should be added to Optiminers new version as well.

Compared to regular stratum mining it is not longer possible for a third party to tamper (e.g. redirect your hashes to a different account) with your connection to the pool.

Instructions for Claymores miner to use encrypted mining:
Append ssl:// to your server and use port 3443:

ZecMiner64.exe -zpool ssl://eu1-zcash.flypool.org:3443 -zwal t1YZMnyXStuGKykkFxM6Lh8DTVJdTMx6R51.YourWorkerName -zpsw x

What is it ? Mining has launched does not work? Wait 20 seconds and all Sad

Which is more profitable now ZEC or ETH.?

ETH has been more profitable for a while now

Depends on the rig and your electric cost.
You have to crunch YOUR OWN numbers - in my case, some of my cards are more profitable on ZEC most are more profitable on ETH the last week.

The lower end cards have to do ZEC 'cause they can't do ETH any more (my HD 7750s never could do ETH with 1 GB ram).

Which cards are you finding more profitable on eth?
I havent mined eth in a while, but from what I can tell, its not anymore profitable than zec.

anyone have any 290's?
240h/s seems to be all I can squeeze. (-i 3)

edit: gpu-z is showing my 480's power draw spikes up to 216w from 120w.

R9 290 stilt bios 1100/1450 gets 300 h/s

That is quite the overclock from my 950/1250.
I dont have the oc versions, so I may be limited by the binning process.
Any chance you know what the stilt bios pulls at stock?

edit: I havent paid much attention, but can you flash a 390 bios onto 290's like you can with 390x/290x?
