I still need to swap that Speedy fan and one of the BitFenix, just to make sure the Speedy really is the cause of the higher temps. So, according to KnC's email, they could source some lower CFM, cheap unknown fan, but they could not source the publicly available BitFenix? Riiiigghhht.  

I wonder if their forum will ever come back, since it looks like they are aiming to wash the site clean. Gotta love them quoting Satoshi Nakamoto. Like that quote somehow excuses them from screwing their customers by unapologetically going back on their 5% promise and building massive farms that kill any chance of us reaching ROI.  Just another bucket of excrement that they toss in our face.

Thanks tolip, you do some intense mods.  That would offer around the same CFM as 15 Noctuas, at a fraction of the cost and using a little more power. I'm looking for a more "user friendly" solution though. Here is my very condensed layout:

i've been mining since nov 8th was in the front more or less ordering of the pack i've made 1,700 usd as of today  of which you can take out 575 for elec for 4 months....because the damn miners as stated in a prev post was sent out w/o working ALPHA software on the SD of any note first couple months..also you can't really sell a unit on ebay if it comes with two dead dies out of 16 dies like mine or say they get it and a die dies.... and knc refuses to RMA any unit that you can creep 300mh out of it....so sell that on ebay you'd get it back after 40 days of mining and have to refund ..i sure as hell would send one back with a bad die if i got one on ebay....so that don't work well because most of the folk over 60% have a titan unit with a bad die..knc admitted their first batch of chips was flawed but no compensation (knc states consumer law under Sweden does not apply to knc purchasers in that we are a business and this is experimental asic equipment) you begin to see a trend here yet. (bet he continues to blame the victim us purchaser's here)

to say our options are limited is an understatement..sure 20/20 hindsight my order was  a mistake as a newbie in Oct 18th 2013 I got a knc 550gh jupiter via paypal and cc paid no less full refunds offered..made ROI in 3 weeks! and BTC that day was an even 150 usd ...6 WEEKS later BTC was 1100 usd (proud of my restraint i did not buy 3 newbie that i was)....so i got a pre order neptune with my cc via paypal from a reputable company at the time..in nov or so KNC  then decided to mine all further equip of that type for themselves and the neptune being late i 'converted' to a Titan (yeah a mistake) then knc went off the rails sending used frankenjupiter junk....and the slow decline thru out 2014....I got my Titan 3 months late or more from the 'implied' ship date of july/august...so yeah knc went from nun to porn star from greed they made 200 million i heard the first year....live an learn ...but at the time of my orig order and at the time of my xfer to a titan all was well with knc....so yeah bad move on my part but just saying it is all the fault of the buyer is a crock of hooey.....there may be blame on my part.. as a consumer...but there is in most folks view a lot more blame from knc on this whole thing..it is all there way ..hell a 200 million dollar company and they claim their 'voice phone' is broken....it is all a scam...now they will continue the scam with newbie rich guys IPO $$ and their data hall etc..same scam different richer group of newbies

people who got a Neptune at least at the beginning of the bonus offer were able change their bonus neptune to a bonus titan ...there were very few of those....knc soon after stopped
this but yes there are a few bonus titans...pretty rare i think...that may flow out to the neptune guys who chose this as an option.

no idea if bonus titans are shipping yet in that knc has gone 'dark' on support...

when knc forums existed the tech guys 'said' you could just flash the firmware of he neppie on to the SD card and use the same controller as the jupiter on a neptune

supposedly the boards are the same

others on here probably know more but this is what I read on the forums (by staff) for what it is worth

anyway .....someone musta tried it ...i'm pretty sure some got it to work on knc forums but i forget the names

I guess you just ignored the whole discussion for the last 6 months about the Titan and the fact it was shipped defected and in an "Alpha" state, and the fact that the only working units were able to stay stable did that only a few months after their late delivery and many firmware updates.

nEPTUNE was also alphe , that means you have to use the github https://github.com/KnCMiner to keep your firmware
up to date and if you find mistaks send them a proper debug report so they can fix it or make a fix you self and send it to them
That is the spirit these devices are developed in.
to make it consumer idiot proof it takes a other 3 years what you don't have in bitcoin miner space.
the developers of knc wanted to share the product expecting people who are capable to write proper dubug reports or come with fixes.

KnC promised the Titan would be capable of mining ANY scrypt coin on ANY pool the customer wanted and they promised delivery would be Q2/Q3.

What customers got, however, was an unfinished unit which was incapable of functioning as originally promised, because KnC had not completed building the proper firmware for it. KnC began shipping these units in the last days of Q3 solely to attempt to avoid breaching their Q3 promise and because they hadn't finished manufacturing the device completely, everybody who received a Titan prior to about the end of November, beginning of December, got a device that could not perform as promised and so, quite rightly, were fully entitled to cancel their order and receive a refund.

So take your condescending crappy attitude attempting to defend KnC's indefensibly poor customer service and kindly shove it up your arse.

This is how "inteligent" consumers are , just update the firmware but that is to difficult I guess!
