I doubt you can.  I've got 6 cubes running stable at 4Th, but out of 15 cubes, only 3-5 run full on without too much heat.
6 cubes no problem . 5 cubes also no problem.
just dont use the standard -0.0366 but tweak per die ,, same go as low as -0.0824 or even lower
But its very impotant you have a gold , plantinum or titanium power supply.
and make sure your power grid at home can handle about ~ 6000 watts that´s about 26 AMP if 230 and 52 if on 115v !
if you have 3 phase (europe) and 3x25 amp main fuse you can spread the miners over the 3 phases.
so each phase gets about 8.6 amps if on 230v , assuming 2000 watts.

That's cool. I was hoping to get close to 3.5 but I guess maybe I'll have to purchase another miner. Are you running 15 cubes at home?

I'm running 6 on a converted dryer 220 circuit. And the others on 220v at the office.  I had them install me 3 new 30 amp circuits for my mining. Smiley

Nice, I'm running 3 cubes off 1 15A circuit and when I get my other PSU, I will run 2 off another 15A circuit. Does it matter if these circuits are shared? Also, is there any way to tell how much power I'm using right now? On the interface it says about 830 watts. Is that accurate?

Speaking of tweaking, Ive been tweaking this baby all day and now she is singing!! This is only 1 set of Titan Batch 2... and its magical!!!

Yes these should ONLY be sold to very technical people as they are a nighmare to get working, but when they do..hold on tight!

I want to make sure everyone knows that I just released my software called "Yobit pump alert". THis is custom software that uses an algo to detect the start of a pump here on yobit, the second it starts. YOu can even filter the coins you see by price. Most pumps start less than 100 sats , so you can easily filter the cheap coins, so they are the only ones displayed Smiley https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945937.msg20241953#msg20241953

Magical?  I'm not sure If I understand this right, so just asking to be sure....
You got two 350Mh/s Titans to run at a combined rate of 701Mh/s... right?
From the sounds of it.... the magic part was getting them to run at the advertised batch 1 hashrate?
I thought I heard somewhere the second batch Titans were supposed to run at 400Mh/s each? ... I must be staying up too late, lol.

OK ..enlighten me on something more 'simple' then the above ..i have 1 dead die on 2 diff cubes...I messed around some but gave up and they are currently set to OFF

so shoot me some pointers

something like..

1) should I approach this from the 'bottom up' the lowest voltage I can put on a  die with the smallest setting in adv pages? ie work from the bottom up ...or should I
work from the top down with the lowest voltage i can set..ie work the asic the other way around...1 voltage setting below then set to 300mh etc in a downward manner
(which is how i approached it before and got no place)

2) can you undervolt and still get the 325 settings in adv page to work (thus saving a bit of elec?)

3) can you over set above 325 on adv page in some manner?

anyway interested in how you would approach this if a titan cube with 1 dead die arrived on your doorstep....how would u approach this to try to get the die back up?
(use small words i did buy from knc i obviously have issues...)

4) I've also heard of people taking the die apart....heatsink etc and putting new thermal paste on a complete re-do

anyway as i said i just did the attempt at voltage changes and speed changes from the top down...but would b nice to know what voltage is too high to try per setting
or what voltage is too low on going thru the steps...so again...how would you approach to revive 1 dead die on 1 cube..by the numbers please

if you can get 700mh I should with your help (and others on here) hopefully be able to get at least one of my 2 dies back into play

thanks

Sorry not possible.

The hashrate on the machine is the most accurate not a pool. I don't, of course, mean to burst your bubble. It is, however, going to happen at some stage in the near future.
Come and tell us how happy you are in 2 months when dies start dying and new firmwares actually hash at lower speeds, ect ect so on and so forth.

unless they changed their minds...4 months ago (had the titan 5 months as of today) they would NOT RMA any unit not DOA on arrival and/or that as a full miner got over 300mh
or they would just send it back charging you for shipping both ways (got the email someplace will post if i find it) in that my original unit got 307.4mh at the time or some such even under the old crappy firmware of the day..i did not bother...also folk that had bad cubes the month ahead of me had already been waiting 1 month for RMA...so.the first units had burnt connector issues...and whole cubes dead etc ..some were put together wrong etc (now you know why knc forums got nuked)..knc was very pissed off I even asked....

perhaps things are different now...but it was to their advantage to send me that blanket statement email back in the day ..i kinda doubt they have had a change of heart by now

I also heard it was a min of $400 bucks to send a cube back...can anyone elaborate on that rumor? (insurance by knc on the way back...by shipping by whale? what?)

but feel free to point out their change of policy...my attempts were 4 months ago and also to add insult to injury the NOT WORKING as advertised did not apply back then to
dead dies IF you could limp your machine over 300mh..you could not RMA under any circumstances..ie lump it...........(if i remember the email...go to advance page set your settings to 325 if the titan gets over 300mh we will not accept the any cubes from the full unit as a RMA in that you got over our min of 300mh)

on a side note they had another brief email that titans sent back for refund or RMA with out an RMA number would be 'scrapped' that email was corrected in a day or two  or so from the uproar....also about the time they buckled and changed the 3 month warranty to a 12 month in that guys had not got back their broken titans and had already lost 1 1/2 months waiting....

so yeah ...so i was not very encouraged to try.....admittedly this was around 1st week of dec 2014 when i tried to push this
and lots of shit was being sent back as broke much worse then my stuff

anyway i suspect now that they are winding down i have missed any window where it makes sense to do this ...i doubt they have more then 2 techs if that on RMA stuff now..probably only one...it is how they roll now

Sorry not possible. The hashrate on the machine is the most accurate not a pool.

the screenshot says there are 2 pool workers, wouldn't that imply 2 titans or 1 titan and another rig?

I've seen pools double count rigs in the avgs. For instance mine with rig.1 then switch names & mine with rig.2 and you'll briefly show 2 rigs running at twice the mh/s. It's just an avg as you're still paid only for shares submitted. The avg doesn't mean much if you are trying to game the system

Be that as it may, with a high share difficulty you can still get extreme swings in pool mh/s due to variance. I have seen swings over 1 gh/s with  really high share diff but they don't last long

prob as good as I'm gonna get I have 6 cubes on 2 corsair 1200i psu's with a dead die cube on each psu (of the 3 to a psu)

i get last I looked an hour or so ago 475.1mh (this is again with 2 dead dies on 2 cube out of these 6 cubes)

the other titan i got at a good deal 1 month ago I get 175.0 mh even (all the dies from this 2nd unit are golden)

so the total for 8 cubes across 3 psu's is 650.1mh..which is probably way more then I should even expect with 2 dead dies in the OFF position

I probably should/could play with the dead dies but the knc titans are such a piece of sh*t raspberry pi looks like a $49 buck science fair kit

just did not think the constant up/down restart was helping the lifetime of the crap.....and i sure was not getting anyplace to get the dires working

if i had any balls i'd take them apart and put new thermal paste on them etc...likely it is due to that imho being done sloppy or some have said as much
but then again they had 3 dies dead and had no real recourse but to try that...seems extreme with only 1 dead die on a cube each (total of 2 cubes and 2 dead dies)

but anyway 650.1mh looks pretty good with the dies on  the OFF position imho .. I sometimes feel i've tempted fate enough with these no roi no refund knc units

er to clarify above... i have 2 titan complete units 8 cubes....i put 3 cubes on a corsair 1200i each to save going out and getting a 4th psu seems to work fine
thus why I have it split like that ..the 2 cubes are solid on the 2nd controller thus the 175mh ...and both titans are 1st batch early units (nov 2013 or so) the
2nd was used got it a month ago and split things up in this arrangement

Oh yeah about 295 from the 4 cubes with 2 dead dies i guess. Thats not to bad, i don't think they guaranteed dies but only hashrate as you well know. Hurts tho dosn't it!? Knowing you could have two more dies running lol.
Stuff like that irks me bad if i let it.

I like the glass you have them on thats a nice idea and that bench they are on is pretty serious Smiley

Whats your current hashrate from one machine searing

prob as good as I'm gonna get I have 6 cubes on 2 corsair 1200i psu's with a dead die cube on each psu (of the 3 to a psu)

i get last I looked an hour or so ago 475.1mh (this is again with 2 dead dies on 2 cube out of these 6 cubes)

the other titan i got at a good deal 1 month ago I get 175.0 mh even (all the dies from this 2nd unit are golden)

so the total for 8 cubes across 3 psu's is 650.1mh..which is probably way more then I should even expect with 2 dead dies in the OFF position

I sometimes feel i've tempted fate enough with these no roi no refund knc units

the class is 3/8" tempered glass from a desk and a dresser i got I looked it up...and you can get the same from http://elitecustomglass.com/ was gonna replace the desk glass
i used on the workbench but it was 82 bucks with shipping ..it can wait till the miner is a doorstop then back to the desk..on the other hand you could I guess plan to put
such on a dresser or desk you have now (pretty keen they are...desk calender under the glass an all on the desk) and just justify the price for that and under the miner for now..but
at that price the other dresser does not need the glass imho

the workbench i had set aside for the cistern area cleaned out (old house) for use as a small shop area with bench..but have pour a cement floor in that the floor slopes
and not even...so this will work fine for this..the price was only $199 usd which was pretty good .it is a great bench ..i used those wire closet shelves for the shelves underneath

http://www.samsclub.com/sams/ultra-heavy-duty-workbench/prod1490086.ip?navAction=

and tap and die threaded holes to hang the 220v euro surge protectors on the back ..I'd get these they have saved my ass twice from miner burn out..brown out city..
they come with a cord from the unit to the titan plug standard ..but you have to get a plug to the 220v outlet wall adapter of our choice this link

http://www.amazon.com/Tripp-Lite-EURO-4-International-Protector/dp/B00006HZ4M/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1428307654&sr=8-1&keywords=tripp+lite+euro

I can't recommend these enough....

on a side note around May 31st 2015 of so when it gets hot around here I will have to put in some attic gable fans with thermostat and shutters with plywood etc to cover windows above and open windows in bsmt to pull air thru.....should be fine...it is always like 10 degrees cooler in the basement then outside and the knc stuff seems to not have any problems with the heat ...upper midwest 100F outside would be 90f w/o the fans  with the fans I should be able to get this down to 80F and it will OK in the basement

but yeah that is a real butcherblock top on that worktable......was well worth the extra $50 bucks from the other junk workbenches i was looking at

heh not sure when it goes back to a workbench do  i really will need 3 220v separate individual circuits to the workbench thou heh Smiley

No you misunderstood, this is *1* Kncminer Titan Batch 2, running at 700mhs... Yes. Magical. Lol

Vegas

Sorry not possible. The hashrate on the machine is the most accurate not a pool. I don't, of course, mean to burst your bubble. It is, however, going to happen at some stage in the near future.
Come and tell us how happy you are in 2 months when dies start dying and new firmwares actually hash at lower speeds, ect ect so on and so forth.

shhhhhhh.....you were supposed to wait till he got my 2 dead dies working (hey at this point i will attempt the voodoo for dummies book) now you went and 'discouraged him" all to heck......

Im glad to help where I can.

Ok.. first thing you need to understand is.. failing dies is a PHYSICAL problem. So any fix will not be a professional permanent fix, and will probably become future problems. The real permanent fix is an rma to Kncminer or a new cube.

It is entirely possible that if 1-2 dies fail, and then if you let it sit for 20-30min, and reboot again, and dies return, its most likely a heat issue. There lies a MASSIVE heatsink on top of those dies, and titans do run quite hot. Its quite possible that one or 2 of the dies have dried up thermal grease. Its very easy to remove that massive heatsink inside and clean both the bottom of the heasink and the dies, and regrease. I recommend Acrtic silver for thermal compound. After youve done this run your rig. Watch the temps , if one cube is much hotter than the others, and its the same one that has the failing dies, its most likley a heat issue. I dont like to see my cubes go above 60C, and they usually dont.

If cleaning the dies on the bottom does not fix, then do NOTHING with voltage! Some have said that raising the voltage has brought the die back to life for a short time, BUT now your adding more heat and stress on the die. If I were you, I would look more at lowering the speed. Set the die to lowest MHz setting, run for 1-2 hours, if its stable, then bump it up one more notch , and watch for 1-2 hrs, until you reach the speed where it stops working, and then you lower it down 1 notch.

Hope this helps.

btw Ill say it again for those that dont beleieve me, my titan batch 2 DOES run 24/7 at 600-700Mhs, and NEVER goes over 55C. Here is the secret. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835706015&cm_re=252_cfm-_-35-706-015-_-Product. 252CFM!! THE most powerful fan for computers and such. One in the front that forces air in, and one in back that serves as a vacuum. When I put my hand behind one of the cubes, it feels like a hairdryer set on high, the heat is coming out so fast, and the heat NEVER builds , therefore I wont be killing dies anytime soon. Wink

I want to make sure everyone knows that I just released my software called "Yobit pump alert". THis is custom software that uses an algo to detect the start of a pump here on yobit, the second it starts. YOu can even filter the coins you see by price. Most pumps start less than 100 sats , so you can easily filter the cheap coins, so they are the only ones displayed Smiley https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945937.msg20241953#msg20241953

at the present time i'm not brave enough to probably take the cube apart and regrease..so as an alternative to try (i've done this before with no success) is just set the speed down on the bad  die and lower the voltage as well? that is what i tried....but if i read the above correctly you would leave the voltage above the SAME and just underclock downward to see if something takes?
again making sure this is correct...go down say to the 50mh setting and start from there but I always assumed you lowered the voltage accordingly? but maybe not?

clarify please.....i've dorked with these dies so often in the past i forget exactly what i've tried need a process step by step

Voltage stays the same, and start at 50mhz, and work your way up. Eventually finding the highest speed that die can handle and be stable. Lowering voltage might make it unstable. Raising voltage, will create more heat. You can also take it to a local repair shop and show them what you have, and they should be able to regrease at a fair price.

What I discovered on titans that is quite unique is the lower the temps, the faster they run.
