No worries, just hang back on throwing accusations and threats towards me in future. I've never lied to anyone here, but I did say it would be tight, just never thought it would be this tight. I would like to see Stockholm tonight as well. My clothes are there!!!

Make my day! Say thanks if you found me helpful Smiley BTC Address --->

So, is it still possible to win the bitbet? Would 5 units delivered for hosting at the KNC datacenter count?

Maybe you can try to talk to them. I am available in Stockholm for a pickup, and so is Orama, maybe Anduck. Maybe 2 other hidden swedes. But I feel they would have to squeeze those boxes it at the last second and maybe people contacted at the last second by KNC...

Well, I've got a hosted Day 1 unit that I'd happily screenshot hashing if they get it up!

That's 1440 boards per one day work (24h). x100GH that's 144TH DAILY. What the diff will be in next month?

Nah, thats just the PCB, and I think it was the backplane, not the "main board" with the actual hashing chip. Not that those would take much longer, its clear that automated production lines arent going to be the bottleneck, but I assume (manual) assembly of the unit, testing, packaging etc wont go anywhere near that fast.
This unit doesn't look to complicated. Propably one expierenced person will assemble this in less than half an hour. 10 people should assemble at least 20 in 1 hour with 4 boards, so almost whole boards can be used up.

Under development Modular UPGRADEABLE Miner (MUM). Looking for investors.
Changing one PCB with screwdriver and you have brand new miner in hand... Plug&Play, scalable from one module to thousands.

No, 5 reputable users. I guess they missed bitbet by few days.

Today is still September - there aren't 5 'reputable' users with hosted units?

What constitutes a reputable user?

edit: just want to say i took none of the sides in the bet but I still feel it is important and would like to help.

I got a truck on standby to go and pick up our customers miners. Normally we don't allow photography in the data center, but the miners has been given their own room, so with permission from the owners you could get pics of rows and rows of miner within 30mins of release at KNC.

Orama,  has KnC started mass production, or are we looking at pics of testing, setting up machines and production lines etc ? Do they plan to work through the night, or do the lights go out there in a few hours?

That video is truly brilliant! You should get as much footage as possible and do some interviews and make a documentary!

Josh is assuredly bound to be disappointed:

"How are you justifying these as fair use?  They are clearly and unequivocally a copyright violation."
"I really want to know how you justify that under the fair use doctrine?  It does not conform to a single point of fair use."
Josh whining about people reusing his studio portrait shot on this forum. Can you copyright a copyright complaint? All Paypal refunds are final.

 Smiley yay, progress!

Thank you very much Bitcoinorama for all those pictures and the vid, much appreciate!

however that's it so far I'm happy about - still no pickup infos/no info when to take a day off from office  Undecided
Seems like KnC thinks everybody is unemployed chilling all week long in front of a screen at home waiting for the packet to arrive??

As one can see some pics do miracles and it does not take long for posting them.
Even more disappointing that we need Bitcoinorama to post them as KnC is simply too busy  Roll Eyes and prefers shitstorms instead.
I still do not get their silence the last days though, as you can see some pics do miracles.

Maybe it's strategic stuff:
Instead of releasing infos which still do not help you to make your dealine and stick to all your marketing statements, you let ppl go crazy.
The more and more FUD, worst case scenarios and similar appear the more ppl are panicking and run around like headless chickens.

Then you finally show some infos that those FUD spreading and imaginary worst cases did not take place - and immediately most are happy and celebrating. Therefore leaving minor negative mosaics completely out of sight they would complain about otherwise.
"Hooray, not the worst case!!"

**
Sorry for disturbing the bright picture again, I know some can't stand it as it does not fit into their rosy picture.
Let me add I do not love complaining - honestly I hate it.
I'd love to praise KnC for matching the bright picture...but...as you know..

Yes, it's still in their hands to make everyone -in addition to themselves- happy and IF they really make it somehow, I'm going to praise them each and every morning. You see I'm still optimistic while facing the facts.

That's rationalization.

A negative emotion has a bigger impact than a positive one, they don't cancel out. Humans are made like that.

If you're a good businessman, you keep your customers happy, soothe their feelings when things aren't going your way.

This reminds me of when Avalon was supposed to deliver, then didn't for two more months.  I have 3 devices on pre-order so I'm just as anxious as the rest of you, but I don't think a single ASIC company has delivered when they said they would, so I wouldn't hold my breath.

(They better not take too long or I won't make any money.  if they delay they better start shipping more horse power to make up for it)

Avalon mined 2 month with my batch 2 miner, before sending it.. fact : so much dust in the fans, I already need to replace those fans, as they are now used and makes a lot more noise.
Avalon took from me around 300 BTC.. Now, I've calculated that I may not break even..

Imo, for now and the rest of 2013, no asic miner will break even.. I'll let the asic market mature before thinking about any miner purchase..
