Oh and would anyone else care to share why not only has the price of the Neptune gone up but the SHIPPING has too? Christ mate. Talk about gouging both new and existing.

What's the alternative?

Buy the same amount in BTC, and hold it, and/or trade with it. I made 30% BTC inrease over the past few days via trading.

Example...If you spend 18btc on a neptune, and let's say in a perfect world it turns out a total of 25, you've made 39%. And that's 3-6 months after my recent 30% increase. Likely, I will make more increases over time.

So yeah, the alternative is to do what I did, and be making profit.. today. I have no doubt the Neptune will be stupid powerful.. like connect it to a 3 phase outlet and it'll chug along at 6TH or something.. but with a sharp eye, you could take the same investment and do similar--if not better. The Neptune is just a lot easier.. plug it in and let it chug.

Or, you could end up like my brother in law who went from 18 BTC to 3 BTC by day trading. There are winners and losers in day trading, and a great deal of luck is involved.

People always seem to talk about their day trading gains but often fail to mention their losses.

Jupiter was clearly pushed out under too much pressure - let them a few weeks more time to tune batch 1 to its best  Cool
With hindsight 20/20, even with all the problems, take a poll how many here would rather KnC kept all their Sep/Oct Jups another 3 to 4 weeks before delivery, preventing, 1 coin per day production?  I'd have maybe bought a Nep or 2 if Delivery didn't have the /2Q.

First money back!

Invalid IBAN number,

I paid on 28th 03:55 pm to this account:

IBAN (USD): SE3250000000054238219864
BIC/SWIFT:  ESSESESS
Bank Address:  SEB, Stureplan 2, 106 40 STOCKHOLM/SWEDEN
KnC Group AB address: Birger Jarlsgatan 33 5tr, Stockholm, 111 45, Sweden.

But only one of four transactions comes back atm.

Tomorrow I will see if the other ones comes also back.

Anyone else?

was this for the 1st batch of Neptunes? (not sure but did you miss the paid deadline....by the 28th?)

If it is for the 2nd batch of numbers it does not match the Neptune info I was given for the IBAN number

(of course took my bank 1 hr to do the order today..then they called me back in after 1hr ..then took them 3 hrs and girls crying to get next order in
what a clus*t*rf*c*   so I've no idea what the  hell is gonna happen on my order today (which since it was late by the time I got it done will prob go in on Tuesday

I guess I learned my lesson use a 'commercial bank" the old regular bank has no experience with doing international wire xfers....to tell you the truth I was
treated pretty badly for a guy that banked there for 20yrs plus.....they we're just generally p/o that I tied up 3 people for 3hrs cause they had no clue...so I kinda
was the chump

of the 3 2 we're supposed branch managers...what a joke

so I feel your pain probably in the same boat....and if it does bounce and knc does not get cleared in time for $$$ back i'll likely miss the boat too on the 2nd Neptune

just goes to show bitcoin would work a lot better in all this but not gonna touch my hoard on speculating april 2014 fiat yes bitcoin at the moment no

sucks

let us know how it goes

Same with mining, you could end up with die issues, or a lightning strike, or stupid difficulty (which will be most likely).

And it's not just day trading, it's long term trading. My scripts waited a week before anything was triggered. There were some small losses, and then cha-chink-cha-chink. 50% gain, 10% gain, 30% gain. Back to sit and wait. Play with the house money, that's what I'm doing, and skim off some of the profit.

Not a HFT here, more of a hawk.

I mine, I B&H, I trade. Do what I can like everyone else. There's no single guaranteed method for anyone. Just pointing out there /are/ alternatives to simply tossing coin at something and hoping for the best.

This is what I'm going to do: emulate the money flow that I would have had in case I had bought a neptune from the first batch, i.e. spend the amount of money needed to buy btc instead, store them in cold wallet and leave it there till the neptune actual release date.

If I would have done the same with October Jupiter, as of now, I had had a 65% more btc that I got from minting with my miner.

Congrats!  My 102xx has changed back to in progress so judging by the numbersi may get it this week.

As for the other stuff, really? Life's just too short for all that stuff. Imho.

Someone got some free stuff, big deal.
Someone missed out on the special offer, get over it.
Someone didn't/couldn't get their funds together,  tough.
Someone forgot to tick the box to get updates and newsletters, boohoo.
Sometimes custom made money making devices are a bit tempermental.. No shit sherlock.

I mean honestly sometimes its like listening to little kids whining.

What it is more often than not is sour grapes or people cleverly gaming and social engineering attempts to stop people buying either for selfish reasons or to try and turn people to other products, but I thunk more of the former than the latter.

And as for the holier than thou "saviour" syndrome that some posters have, that expect kudos and gratitude for scoring points or making nebulous claims or accusations, well they are just pure entertainment.

Finally if you are waffling on about coulda/shoulda/woulda bought BTC instead of mining you fall into the above self interest groups as well. You think your altruistic facade works in here? Dream on.

Most sensible post on the last few pages, I applaud you.

Note: Just as an aside -- if you use the Seasonic Platinum and your Jupiter starts to glow red -- just want to be sure you realize that would be your problem -- I am not offering advice -- just an observation.  My Jupiter shut down in a controlled manner -- your power supply could be from a flawed genetic strain which just hates miners with a passion.... On the other hand -- it may work. I just don't know.

Another datapoint - My October Jupiter has been running flawlessly on a Seasonic Platinum 1000.

I bought today two of them, I will try it. I´m crazy enought!!!! Cool

Those are fakes, dont fall for it.

What really works is putting some magic healing crystals on top of the miner,  along with some Chakras aligning holographic power balance magnets.
For best result soak them first for a day in a top grade homeopathic energy enhancing 30C memory solution.

I will sell you a complete set for only 1 BTC. Shakras alignment of your KnC miner is guaranteed or money back. PM me for details.

I understand that the first batch of Jupiters had to make over 70 coins to break even in BTC and that was going to be tough...  but how can you look at a Neptune and say that it will produce less than 10 coins.    My two jupiters today still create 1 coin a day (combined).      The risk is very different than it was with purchasing Jupiters when BTC was at $100.

I have no doubt each Neptune will produce more than 10BTC which is what I paid.

The price seems high when you compare it to other companies that took preorders but think about how much those customers paid in BTC.   30-40 BTC?  Definitely not 10 for over 3TH!   I would have loved to see Neptune priced at $6k but that is almost a joke when pricing it at 6BTC.

People with their finances in order don't leave large amounts sitting doing fuck all when it should be earning interest or working for them no matter what that ignoramus just said.

most previous customers have mined more than 10BTC..  many well over that.   Many have kept their BTC in a wallet as BTC itself was 'working for them' or at least still $$ in an exchange so they can easily buy back BTC when need be.

On your other point, you really wanted them to basically call up everyone one by one on the modules?? how long would that take?  Everyone was already a bit mad that they waited to make a few more and ship all at once instead of just ship what they had right away.

3 days on the Neptunes showed that KNC priced it a bit better than the modules so they didn't short change themselves. If they were $8000 they would of sold out in 10 mins
If KnC were MY company <LOL>;  Since I had promised the Sep/Oct rigs were "modular" & "upgradable":
I'd have sent all buyers of Mercs & Sats only, an email notice to buy any # of modules that would allow them to modularize up to Jups, for a 1 week period.
Then, I'd keep a calculated amount for Rma's.
Next, since Jups are not company auth for >4 mods, I'd have combined the remaining into new Jups, and offer them as a bonus (non-warranteed) given away at lottery per each 20 Neptunes. Now THAT would have gotten a lot of good pr Buzz.(in spite of the haters)

I've been running my October Saturn/Jupiter with a Corsair RM850 since I got it. It pulls 650/660 from the wall. I did order a more powerful supply in case I added more hardware but I think I may return it since the Corsair is running just fine the way it is.

I would keep it.  It pays to have a spare on hand in case of failure.

I realize this is just more screaming into the wind.  However, it chaps my ass that KNC shipping logistics will, for the third time in as many attempts, result in my order just sitting somewhere enroute for the entire weekend.   Angry

Jesus man, air ioniser?

Umm...yeah.

Do you know how those things work?  They clean the air by creating an electrostatic charge to get particles to stick to nearby surfaces instead of floating freely.

I ran one for a while and wondered why my USB mouse kept resetting.  Eventually I figured out that a charge was building up in the metal table frame until it reached enough voltage potential to where it would arc through the insulator and discharge into the ethernet cable (which was touching the table frame) connected to the computer, and affected the USB somehow.

I got rid of the ionizer.  Problem solved.

I srsly would NOT run an ionizer near high-value electronic gear.
