as I posted above in this post with the video...they really really have to be using a lot
of this in their customer service department ....would not take a new customer service
rep long with RMA and refund requests to see we got ripped off....ah rationalizations
what would we do without them? Smiley

I have 1 x 1st batch titan and 2 x 2nd batch running 1st batch is piece of shit in comparison !  Angry

You are saying that you have received both the USD10,000 batch1 Titan AND a USD7,000 batch2 Titan?

Do you have some proof you can post because KnC assured everyone they would not ship batch2 units until at least one month after they finished shipping batch1 devices. If they have reneged on that assurance then its more evidence against them for those pursuing legal action to recover their funds.

again this is a guess on my part but he could be the real deal and got a 2nd batch Titan already imho

same as the Jupiter 2nd batch ...they shipped 1 month AFTER THE FIRST unit shipped  (if I remember correctly I get all misty eyed about
nov 2013...) ..so they have been messing around the last 3 or 4 weeks from the first batch of Titans 300mh...
so he likely may have a 2nd batch Titan indeed

(you really think KNC is gonna wait a month between batches when my middle of the 1st batch order que Titan arrived on 11/8/14?....they maybe could
have got the rest out this week I guess ...a lot of folk stopped buying 1st batch Titans ...for a bit if I remember right ...but back to knc....not a frigging chance
they will wait a month .....the last batch Titan 300mh will be on the same pallet as the first 2nd batch titan 400mh...there will be no hiccup imho)

this would of course be easy to prove if the 2nd batch titan guy gives proof......the way knc has been ..he likely has one is my guess

we will see if my speculating works out or not.....(as well as memory...2013 november life was good for an oct Jupiter owner....)

How to recover a dead controller ? After taking the advice of KNC to try to get the other 2 cubes working. It required me to constantly reboot the miners to test.

But the constant reboots might have bricked the controller now since flashing the SD card no longer works. I have also bought 2 other SD cards to test as can be seen in the image. The controller refuses to boot fully, any  suggestions ?

only thing I was told someplace on the knc forum kurt or keith told me they use a raspberry pi B+ to control the daughter board...I got one to play with anyway
..you can ask KNC if it is just a straight replacement...could get lucky and the raspberry pi is the problem?

hope this helps an you are a whale (doubtful.....) Wink

(would have avoided all this bfl and knc silliness if i simply would have heard about mining bitcoin in 2009 ..i was bored...just took down the game server (4 towers) I mean
dang it......(has a little fit) sorry about that...

also there was some talk that the SD cards KNC uses are too slow on knc forums ....I have a maxell class 4 4gb in mine so far...think maybe I'm gonna flash the 32gb
class 10 sandisk i have around here just in case...i asked if that was too big or some such ..on knc forums ....anyway you did not mention a size SD card nor what class card
you are using....

you probably saw the thread on knc forums at www.kncminer.com but here is a link anyway

http://forum.kncminer.com/forum/main-category/main-forum/68003-titan-dashboard-not-loading-displaying-properly

he claims their cheap SD cards are SLOW and had it work with a faster SD card a better class then the one in the Titan....I'd contact him

hope this helps folk (great made myself parinoid that is the next thing to go wrong on the Titan ie note to self flash backup SD card in case bright white light of death
that never goes off pops up on the miner

knc titan never a dull moment

What diff must put at Titan miner??

on ghash.io I was told 8192 but found that it does not seem to do much (ltc/dodge pool) on restart or power down the Titan always starts over again
at difficulty 0 and slowly thru the day creeps up difficulty

so I have 8192 in my miner area on ghash.io LTC/Dodge....does not seem to do anything but the pool took the info ok

One of the KNC SD cards broke as well on my Titan. Replacing it with a Class 10+ SD worked wonders. You can connect the rPi via HDMI to a screen/monitor and check what happens at boot time, this is how I discovered that the original SD card had problems. Copying a fresh 1.02 (full image) onto the new SD (and upgrading it to the latest version) is what I would advise to you. You can even try and boot the SD on a separate rPi B+ (if you have a spare) and check if everything is working correctly.

Good luck and god speed (in mining).

I'm lurking around waiting for some feedback on the v1.10 upgrade...

I tried it out last night and it didn't work so well for me.

At first it ran fine, but after a couple hours one of the cubes stopped mining, and bfgminer kept reporting "die configuration failed" for that cube.  Upon restarting bfgminer it didn't even detect that cube at all.  After a full power-off-then-on-again it started working again.

I thought that maybe it was just a fluke so I let it run overnight, but this morning it was doing the same thing, this time with a different cube.

So it's back to 1.05 for me.

Any news re our bonus Neptunes?

I've heard nothing so far, though the promised Y-cables showed up the other day completely out of the blue. No message or warning.

I guess we just wait and cross our fingers and pray for Santa to bring little cube presents...

I re-looked at my SD card in the Titan (still working) it is a Kingsington 4 GB Class 4   so..would size matter I have here a Sandisk 32gb Class 10...

(no zip about this stuff don't want to overtask the raspberry Pi or some such)

anyway if he 32gb works fine..if not will just grab a 4gb or some such of whatever class version you think is best here you guys think on the forum off ebay

fun fun more stuff to be paranoid about going wrong in the future...should dig up a boy scout poster on ebay "be prepared' and hang it behind the Titan Smiley

A 32GB card should be fine, but I wouldn't buy one off eBay.  Too much chance of getting a counterfeit.  I'd buy from Newegg or somewhere equally reputable.

Personally I'm going to leave the original SD card in mine until/if it starts having a problem.  If that happens, I have some Transcend 32GB class 10s laying around that I use in my other Pis that I can take and use for the Titan.

v1.10 is borked for fast block time coins and probably p2pool. Just tested solo mining VIA.

Seems ok for solo mining LTC using nomp. R:% is still settling. This is on a machine @325 with 1 dead die -->

Code:

We're seeing some anomalous behavior with respect to flushes, rejects and stale shares whose cause isn't completely clear at this time.
Upgrade from v1.05 went without mishap.
