The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Does the new version offer any performance improvements on 1070/1080?

As stated in the first post, no improvement in performance

Code:
Version 0.3.3b
Added option --pec power efficiency calculator.
Added option --fee developer fee control.
Use miner --help command for more information.

I am running a 1080 on the new release and I put --pec in the bat. MSI reads no higher than 90% TDP which should be 162w but the first 4 power readings in the miner gave me 224, 216, 204, and 218w. Is that really how much the card is pulling in excluding the PSU efficiency?

I'd like to know how to set the temperature limit in the miner. The help.txt does not give these new settings in there

The founder's edition has a 180W TDP. Custom cards like the MSI Gaming can have a 250W TDP. And yeah, it is the power pulled excluding the PSU efficiency.

New version --pec seems to be working fine for me, very convenient. But there's a typo "effecincy" it's spelled "efficiency". Other than that seems perfect.

You should add an option to modify the intensity for whose who want to use their PC while mining

Ditto: on my own 1st MSI laptop with GTX 1070 the temps are on the 78-81°C tag. On my second MSI (GT72VR 6RE, GTX1050 Ti) it looks like the thermal pipes are way more efficient and I've a steady 61°C.

Also: magnificent piece of programming you did!! I'll keep donating as well Smiley

Just use the nicehash miner with one thread for mining while using pc. It gives me 360sols @79watt and does not slow the pc down at all.

Thanks.
I've just tried it (0.5C release) in my W10 MSI with GTX 1050 Ti: looks like being a broken release.
I'll stay with EWBF and act on GPU frequencies (downclock).

but when I run it nothing happens.
Please help.

use full path, ex:

/opt/miner/miner --server ...............................etc

also don't specify cuda_devices not necessary.

first try launching by typing the commands to see what output you got (however type the zcash addr would be painful Grin Grin )

forgot: did you chmod +x it  first?

miner --help

I did try this "--logfile ZCASH.%date:~6,4%%date:~3,2%%date:~0,2%.ewbf.log", but that didn't generate a log, the help file says that --log would log create a log, but it didn't! So, I'm not sure what I'm missing! I thought that the log would be saved in the same miner folder, but there is no log!!

--log 2 --logfile ZCASH.%date:~6,4%%date:~3,2%%date:~0,2%.ewbf.log
should generate ZCASHxxxxxxx.ewbf log file in the miner folder.
