Why some people prefer Bitcoin over fiat ?

Because with BTC you don't have to wait for days and days before your transaction is confirmed and there are no big taxes,whereas if you send cash there are different taxes depending on the volume of the transaction.Also with BTC you can hope that it's value can increase and you can also profit from that,whereas cash actually can't even hold it's value in a prolong period of time

bitcoin gives us opportunity to earn money

This might be due to we are having same name for unit and for the system. Bitcoin is the only name for the unit we are transacting and the whole system we are into.

I agree there are a lot of earning opportunities coming only due to the introduction of bitcoin ecosystem and before bitcoins, we are not finding these many opportunities with fiats. Cloud mining/faucets/signature campaign are few example for it.

No fiats nor gold is is giving good ROI and bitcoin staying as the leader in the investment industry. This must be the biggest reason, people are preferring bitcoin over fiat. I guess this will continue for centuries because bitcoin prices are speculated to grow rapidly due to its potentials.

There is no valid argument here, if we are just referring on investment alone then we would always say that bitcoin is the best because it gives us the opportunity to earn thru working for a jobs and investing and I see it very unfair judgement to us since we are staying here.
In general, fiat loses it's value overtime while bitcoin increases and only if they both perform well.
I guess the real distinction of the two is they have a separate strength while bitcoin is only limited for online transactions and investment.

Bitcoin is a potential investment tool, this crypto system is fully anonymous and that's make it special, some people love to gamble or play casino and they dont want to show there names and how much they lost or win and this is a really good benefit. Plus it's more safer to use bitcoin on internet, you cant be robbed, as if you use your credit card, payments are a lot more easier with bitcoin, and if your goverment politics trying to limit you in transactions and amount what you can spend, crypto currenices have unlimited amounts of transactions and novody will tell you that you've used too much

You have less limit (or none) with Bitcoin compared to fiat. You don't have a daily limit with Bitcoin while your Visa/Mastercard card has. Nobody will try to stop you to send funds to someone with Bitcoin while banks can do like it happened to me before when i wanted deposit funds to kraken and the bank told me, nope risk fraud LOL. It's my money i don't need them to tell me what is a fraud, I need to sign a special letter to make them the SEPA transfer. With Bitcoin you are your own bank you really hold your money while with banks once you deposit money to your account, officialy the money is not your anymore. You just lend the funds to your bank with a promise they will give you it back anytime you ask

I have seen a lot of members in this forum discussing about buying drugs, gambling and enjoying porn with bitcoin. Is not it a misuse of a currency ? It is because earning bitcoins or having bitcoins means two things, you have bitcoins, then you have dollars, while having just Fiat means you only have Fiat, nothing else. So, having bitcoins means you can have a lot of money by having profits from bitcoin in converting it to dollars in the right time, and compare on just having a Fiat, which price is fixed, we could be rich or could get easily what we want in doing bitcoin, that is why we prefer bitcoin over Fiat.

But now exchanges need identity verification so now bad people cannot use it for illegal activities. They will know that their identity is already available with a specific exchange so with their address they can identify that what are they doing with their bitcoin. Just like coinbase can find that who is transacting to a gambling site.

Bitcoin is simply a digital currency technology that allows people to transact over the world easily in pseudonymous condition. If their transaction cannot easily trace or link to the owner, then it is a perfect option to do illegal activities such as buying drugs or else.
But I think bitcoin suitable for some condition and fiat money for another condition, fiat money is untraceable as long as they avoid bank and deal with cash. So, they don't misuse bitcoin, it created as a medium of exchange without any restriction to use it even though for negative things, all others are being used for good and bad things too.

That's what mixers and/or altcoins are for. No one with at least some sort of Bitcoin understanding will cash out coins from an exchange and directly use it to buy drugs or weapons in dark net markets. People firstly mix their coins through a mixer, and then convert their coins to an altcoin offering anon features. And then they either convert it back to Bitcoin, or they use that altcoin to buy whatever they want. It's not for nothing that Monero has been implemented in the dark net market AlphaBay.

It may be anonymous in terms of the location, and personal identity of 2 or more participants in a transaction. However, the amount of momey thet transact can't be hidden since all transactions with bitcoin were recorded by Blockchain. Thus, it's not really designed to make an illegal transaction but designed to protect its users. Hence, bitcoin were preffered by many people who transact to hinde their identity.

Yeah that is the great advantage of bitcoin that you can earn it by less effort and you can earn a decent amount through different source. It is more than a currency. I think most of the people used it for business purpose rather than for online selling and purchasing. Real money is mostly for daily use and it is hard to earn.

I look at the entire scenario of the comparison, in general I prefer to the most valuable to the majority because they decide what should remain or what should be eliminated.

Fiat has served us for years already and we have no problem using it as a currency, and if you compare that to bitcoin as currency, you can already tell who are the most trusted and the easy answer is fiat all the time.

Bitcoin can only give us a benefits in life if we are an investor because of the demand which we can prove what is happening recently. But this investment or asset that we are trusting as still in it's risky stage since the government has yet to determine on how to officially regulate it.
