We may never be able to purchase BTC for less than 5 digits again, ever.  You heard it here, first. #nohomo

Furthermore, I am not even clear if the various (perhaps 5-ish clusters, give or take 1 cluster) short-term sinkenings below 5 digits between 9/3 and 9/8 would have counted as sub 5 digits, since the BTC price never did close any daily candle below 5 digits.

In other words, if no daily candle closed below 5 digits, did below 5 digits even happen?  #justasking   Lips sealed

I'd go by daily candle closes, which implies that a true trading opportunity has arrived. Taken to the other extreme, if a single satoshi trades under 5 digits, would that count? I'd argue no, flash drops like that can be considered insignificant noise.

don't mind me just preserving the ancient scrolls

Yeah, what's going on?
I woke up to a small heart attack believing that my account was hacked when I had a message in my in basket from bitcointalk about a deleted message, I haven't been posting lately so I was sure someone had hijacked my account. But it turns out that it was an ancient post, must be more than a year ago, I hardly remember the context and I had totally forgotten it, but I think it had to do with someone putting everybody on ignore and annoying people.
Is somebody trawling thru old posts and reporting them? very unWO if so.
Anyhow here it is, preserving the ancient scrolls as it is said.

it was worth like $250  at the time, so i dont blame him for not taking that many precautions

At minimum, he should have kept maybe more than one paper copy, or saved some on USB sticks, burned to CD/DVD.

Every additional copy is an additional potential security breach.

True dat. But, in this particular case, it's a paper wallet. It does not take much more space to store 2 or 3 copies in the same or close by location. If that paper were in some folder in some safe, store two copies in that same place.

If you make a paper wallet today, print 2 copies, and insert each page into its own plastic protector sheet thing. Amazon sells them as well as most office supply stores.

Coinbase just keeps adding more and more shitcoins to its platform, but still after many years can't manage to make the Coinbase debit card available for U.S. based users.  Roll Eyes

Banks and credit card companies are doing their best against that happening.

Coinbase has been doing everything in its power to separate you from your coins and that has not changed. They have also been sharing your private data (Goldmann Ballsacks got mine from them).

Banks and credit card companies are doing their best against that happening.

They will resist anything that will give you control of your keys and an on/off ramp as that gives you freedom.

Watching Coinbases moves over the years paints a picture of working with the institutional system to control bitcoin users.

I find it extremely frustrating when true bitcoiners are blind to this fact.
