Now that you have more time on your hands, we'd really like to hear that country song.
No sad country song. Sorry to disappoint Retirement plan is back on schedule, now that I've pulled the trigger on the first batch. Want to get my liquidations done this quarter for tax purposes. Well hope you and your partner enjoy it. Fair play for holding right from the early days. Particularly through the bear year of 2014 (went through it myself shudder). Seems that your patience has paid off. Sadly I can’t cash out just yet as I don’t have the numbers that you are playing with! I did manage to cash a little out (about 20%) when we were at $10K and paid off a large chunk of the mortgage so feel a little more secure now. Although, I must admit, it is hard to watch BTC sliding down like this but we have seen it all before and she always comes back stronger. Cheers and good health.

We need our own Bitcoin Exchange. Our legal entity must be set on a Moon (yes we said we are going to then moon, what are we waiting for?) site. Then no petty government shall come and shut down our exchange. If somebody picks the idea that would be great.
decentralized exchange Is there any viable decentralized exchanges currently around? Something with proper trading volume... https://bisq.network ?

I think the problem with decentralized exchange has always been the fiat link rather than tech.
There is some hope that some crypto friendly jurisdiction will be issuing their owned pegged crypto, e.g. J-Coin with Japan, that can serve as a fiat gateway rather than sketchy scheme such as Tether. Once you have a real JPY Tether backed by sovereign, then it's a simple atomic swap or any decentralized exchange, then you can do your usual forex via USD/JPY, EUR/JPY or CNY/JPY pair.

MSM is ramping up the FUD at the moment. I wonder if this is an indication that we are about to double or even triple BTC's value again just like after the China FUD back in October (only took 1 1/2 months to triple).

If day traders would all en masse pull their coins off the exchanges, this shorting by the whales would be over.

Seriously, I am posting this the 3rd or 4th time. Is nobody worried about whats going on in the market? Who cashes out 100 Billion in 3 days for the 3rd time in 3 weeks? Pump and dump 100 Billion? I don´t believe in these stories posted here like "people cash out, buy christmas presents" etc. No average Joe has this huge amount of cash.

No but three million Joe's do have a huge amount of cash. Never underestimate the insanity of the crowds. Just another day of panic...

Er... no one did. The amounts you are talking of are market cap, not actual sales - which have probably been WAY less - by a couple of orders of magnitude at least.

People repeat these figures about cash moving out/in just based on market cap which means absolutely nothing. We have no idea how much fiat is actually moved in/out of the exchanges, those figures are nowhere to be found.

I reckon a lot of the FUD affects the new money in crypto mostly, people who have bought in recently and indeed panic when they see their portfolio value retreat to 80-70% of what they invested as they are worried it will reduce even more. As much as crypto has taken a retreat the last few weeks (BTC value mostly, then Ripple going up, then going back down, now Eth up/down etc) it doesn't look like BTC under $10K will ever happen again.

Well then, I don´t mind anyway since I will hold a few more years. Just curious about thos massive pumps and dumps in the last 3 weeks. I got the feeling that banks and bad people like Soros, Rothschild and Co. are behind all this.
