lets enjoy this mini pump

Wasn't today the day supposed to see a dump, because of Bitfinex, USDT and so on (sorry for mentioning an altcoin-ish thing)?
However, pump is fine for me, I would enjoy it even more if it'd be a mega pump.

The more moving parts the more things can go wrong. I continue to maintain that segwit and lightning was a mistake. Bigger blocks has the same net result and there are no new potential attack vectors. Or any confusion about how the heck it all works (which nobody had clear answers for when it was asked - a big fucking red flag in any situation).

We should be all using Bulletin Board Systems and text terminals according to your thoughts..

A horse has less moving parts than a Ferrari...  and the examples could go on and on...

Some serious shit is about to happen here. I never trusted banks since I understood how they work but now is a lot different than what was yesterday. The shit is about to hit the fan. (actually it did)

Seriously considering to move from bank FIAT to %100 btc lately. I'm afraid when the times comes and I make that the decision it won't be possible anymore.

Turkey is a complete mess.
There you can find the worst combination of dictatorship, lack of rights, Fiat money printing, spiralling inflation, lack of security, questionable foreign politic.
The point is that Turkey was literally inches from entering EU, but when they (ze Germans)  vetoed that, Turkish  they did a magnificent U turn into the Middle Ages.
It still amazes me.

No it doesn't a horse is far more complicated than a man made vehicle will ever be in our lifetime.

But that doesn't mean I disagree with your sentiment. Wink

Brutal but correct. Thank God the second official language of the Philippines is English. I'd say 80% of all the signs are in English. But really only about 50% of the population speaks it with a deal of proficiency.. I think it's an education level thing.

It must be weird to live in a place where all the signs are in a language that you don't really understand. I started learning Tagalog, but moved to a place where everyone speaks Visayan. Now I feel embarrassed if I attempt to speak anything other than English. And even then I feel embarrassed sometimes.

In my country 99% signs are in English along with local languages, depends where are you going. and in some parts signs displayed with 3 different languages.

I know only couple of words in tagalog like Kuya, ate, salamat that's it.

Visayan is dialect right?

Buenos dias Bitcoinland.

Sideways at $5.7k I see... currently $5737USD/$7715CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Dental work proceeding on schedule. Had 2 sessions of prefitting  already and will have 1st test set of teeth installed on Thursday. Final  set installed sometime next week after adjustments, then further adjustments and fine tuning to follow. Total procedure should take about 3 weeks then I'll be set for life.

Ran up to the jungle for 3 nights last week just in time for the electrical service change-over to 240v and a chance to supervise installation of new circuitry  Also got the chance to bring down enough kitchen equipment to turn our $20/night hotel room into a nice cosy studio apartment for Laura and me. Nothing like healthy, cheap home-cooked food in a great environment, half a block from the beach and half a block from the live music bar where I have a VIP discount card.

Life is good. Thank you Bitcoin.

Go Bitcoin go.

easiest overclocks (well aside from the bios stuff from the pentium II on up) was the jumpers on the 486. just pick 25,33 or 40, then select the multiplier via jumper and see if it booted. cant remember if my 386 could do that. before that there was the clock crystal replacement on the IBM AT. never tried it on mine though.

dont remember what the cpus were that you just added more L2 cache via stuffing chips in empty sockets on the mobo. 386 im guessing.
Those were 386's. You could use an 82385 cache controller chip to add L2 cache to them, but it still only ran at the backside clock speed (up to 50mhz). 486's had on-die cache that could run faster and didn't run into DMA slowdown issues like the 386.

Somewhere around here I have my Mountain accelerator board: It was an 8 bit board that plugged into an 8086 with a ribbon cable that replaced the CPU. On the board was a 12mhz 80286 CPU with 256k of 16 bit cache. What was insane was that since it plugged into the CPU and 8 bit bus, device access was at 8 bit speeds (2 clocks per word) which still made it slow as dirt.

Ah the good old days....

That I believe was the evergreen IIRC.
