A dystopian, Australian, cannibalistic hermit colony run by Vitalik and flying drones is far more interesting than Cryptobimbo.  I imagine 90% of the stuff she says to Trollgoossens revolves around "Trollgoossens, when are you going to take me to so and so", "Trollgoossens, take me to eat at ______", "Trollgoossens, it's hot or cold.  Adjust the AC", "Trollgoossens, take pictures of me with this camera so I can upload them to Instagram in order to try and upgrade to a better boyfriend", "Trollgoossens, you are not making any money doing this stupid gambling thing.  You need to stop gambling and get a job at the grocery store to support me".

We all know you like to make outlandish claims. In this case it's quite easy to compare to reality and to see how wrong and misguided you are. I wonder how much damage this mentality has already done to your personal life, your chance to procreate and your general happiness level. Almost at the point of feeling sorry for you but think it's all well deserved.

You remind me a lot about the French author Houellebecq with his depressing view on life and his complete failure to connect with the other sex. For me you are completely at the bottom of the masculine hierarchy. Probably for the best your genes die as I don't see humanity having much positive to gain from them.

So, selling 0.012% of all Bitcoin will drop global Bitcoin price with +10%

Some reserve asset  Roll Eyes

This is just a symptom of where we are on the S-Curve.  Price discovery is still in the beginning phases. If bitcoin does not fail it should be up the ramp in the next decade with the top of the S flattening out the decade after, perhaps.

This is good news for us still.

You left out _unwriter.

Have you stopped to think what a centralized panopticon nightmare is being built if the ideals of BSV and _unwriter came to fruition?

Perhaps if you list said ideals, and explain how they might be enforced upon a permissionless system, I could be bothered.

I've heard a lot of sturm und drang from the usual stream blocking idiots completely misunderstanding public statements made by those in the SV community. But nothing cogent or reasoned. Perhaps you'll be the exception. Impress me?

Exactly.

In the last bull run to $20k, I was actually afraid of the incoming non-volatility. If bitcoin becomes like gold, it will be boring af. Imagine if bitcoin was only %2 volatile in a day... It would feel worse than torture. (That's is exactly how I feel about gold.)

A non-volatile btc would only mean the early phase is gone.

It is bad for both the huge stack hodlers and the newcomers.

The markets is still volatile which means we are still the EARLY ADOPTERS!

The fact is that we are getting even lower, to 4800, and maybe even 4300  Embarrassed Embarrassed
The first one is $ 4,800 because of the parabolic move. The second one is $ 4,300 which is the break point of the ascending triangle pattern.

Is it from listing shitcoins and getting paid for it ?

Hint: it's in the name. A percentage thereof.

I don't know how true it remains, but here stateside, Switzerland has a reputation of neutrality in war and other political matters. A neutral buffer between opposed factions.

We were expecting a 30% drop for a correction.

It happened, but it lasted for only some minutes, which confirms we are still in a bull market.

The bears got out of their cave and are parading in the streets, drunk and screaming victory. Funny.

We need to get out of 8300 for the complete destruction of koalas.

With a (virtually?) unlimited block size and with _unwriter creating apps designed to use that block space without restraint validating nodes will be forced to become extremely centralized.  They will need enormous bandwidth and computational power just to validate the blocks.  Archival nodes will be needed to pull down all the videos, medical records, contracts, etc all the time.  Those nodes too will need to be run in gigantic data centers.

Your assertion of "permissionless" above ends up going out the window. The "blockchain as internet" will be controlled by very few entities.  What do you think will happen when there is a 40MM Binance heist and the controllers of the nodes can meet quickly over whatever _unwriter creates to replace Skype?

What about your medical records.  They are now under the control of that same cartel.  Your legal record.  Your web browsing history.  All the data the FAANG collects?  Now on the blockchain.

But all the above is assuming the fantastic possibility that BSV will WORK and people will choose to use it.

Really what -Unwriter is creating is just a terribly bad version of what usenet already was.  And it will end up frought by the same problems with DMCAs and censorship and access problems as usenet.

I know.. I can already hear the response:  They cant file DMCAs against a permissionless, uncensorable blockchain.  Yes they will, and since it will collapse to be under the control of centralized members those requests can either be enforced, or ignored, but don't fool yourself.  Those node operators are now the government.  I mean they are either controlled by governments, giant business or cartels.  But they will have total control over information.

It will be a panopticon.  And Orwell is turning over in his grave.

It is EVERYTHING whoever Satoshi is/was created bitcoin to avoid.

How's that?

Hi guys,

I'm in Toronto today.
Couldn't find businesses that accept Bitcoin (I didn't expect to) but there are looots of Bitcoin ATMs here.
The only problem is the fees, they are very high.
Plus I'm not sure all the ATMs are up to date.
There was this one in Deloitte's building where 1BTC = 9975.65 CAD :

On coinatmradar, they say that minimum fees are around 10% to buy :

The Food Market on 25 the Esplanade and its Pluto ATM

Gen Convenience Store at 33 University Avenue

Damn !

Hasty Market on 161st Church st.
