https://www.tradingview.com/chart/BTCUSD/JSP3KDmy-New-long-term-prediction-as-I-see-it-now/This is well worth pursuing. But I don't think Tradingview has the right tools for it. Masterluc just glommed a couple of vague swoopy curved lines on the chart. Yet we can do much better. I went to bitcoincharts(dot)com to download the price history for Mt Gox and Bitstamp, and concatenated them in a LibreOffice Calc spreadsheet for a continuous price history going back to 2010. Then I ran iterated quadratic regressions. The parabola has a horizontal axis of course, which means treating time as a function of price. Once you get the quadratic, easy enough to solve it, giving a conventional graph with price as a function of time. results here https://hardworkandlowpay.wordpress.com/charts/After deriving the parabola for the line of support (red on the chart), I found that by shifting that curve 45 months in time, it just touched the last two big blow-off tops; you can see this line in green on the chart. The two parabolas are essentially identical, sharing the same axis and focal length. The nested parabolas never intersect.

Guys, can we please keep the conversation on topic???
I need to know if we are currently forming a BART (Bart) and headed back down to <9100. I'm trying to short BSV right now and want to know when to put in my next order. I found a place that lets you short BSV futures at 100:1 leverage and am currently practicing. I'm studying for an entry point.
So please, let's stick to hardcore TA only out of respect for our WO forefathers, who must be turning in their dormant accounts right now.
LOL
Where is this magical place?

Such fancy curve fitting is pointless. Gives too much importance to ancient past.
Limit the dataset to let's say [2013...2020] and use straight lines.
Simplicity wins.

Guys, i will receive a payment in the next days and I want to invest it in btc, but can't decide between buying at 9350 or waiting for the 10k pullback. What are your thoughts?
I think that some people will sell at 10k, specially those who bought high in the last bubble, conforming with recovering the investment. But I also think that halving expectancy and optimism is really high and will make the pullback be moderate.
Ironically the payment is already a week late and I wound't doubt entering at 8-8.5k. I new that if there was going to be a delay, that days would go up. So will have 10% less btc thanks to the incompetence of someone. Fells much worse than being because of your own decisions.

No one knows anything. I would however forget about 10 grand being some sort of magic number. It's breezed through it plenty of times since the ATH. Anyone still here since then is not going to get rid now. People said the same would happen when it returned to $1000. Nothing much of note happened when it actually occurred after a three year wait.

Nobody knows... If I had known what I am doing I would have gone all in (or all out) already. Instead, while I am having %50 of my wealth in btc and the other %50 in USD, I am staring at charts (and DCA'ing) like everybody else. Don't have the balls to make any big movements. It is probably going to go up in the upcoming years but If I were in your shoes right now, I would hesitate to buy big chunks too. That's the same mindset keeps me from going all in. My advice? Start DCA'ing and buy the dips so you won't lose your mental health while the time passes.

This is how FOMO thinking works and why so many people buy at the top. You will **not** miss out. Think of it this way - at any point in time there is a 50% chance the price will go up and 50% chance it will go down. If this were not true, the market would change the price to make it true. So just buy some BTC when the money arrives and chill out. hth

I did that with XRP once (during 2017 IIRC). It wasn't even a 100x leveraged trade, just a regular 1x margin short. It was a bad idea. When there is an entity that CAN easily manipulate the price (XRP, BSV, etc) you are at their mercy no matter fundamentals nor TA... at least in the short run. That being said, if you are determined to do it, think carefully what your stop profits and stop losses should be at according to your expectations. No idea if we are forming a BART. We could perfectly just dip a bit (still $9K+) and then rebound. Or revisit $8.6K-$8.8K and then rebound. Or... If I really knew, I would be margin trading like a mad monkey. I am not.
