I'll bite.  What's the meaning of an M7 hand sign?

edit: here's the reference

Looks like "MB" to me.
Prolly meaning "My Bitch"Huh

What good is your money when you're dead?  Seems like you should want it to benefit your heirs.
I'm over 60 and my bitcoins are sitting in a wallet that nobody but me can access.
I have to start thinking about this stuff.

Same here, but i have about 20 years to go where you are now, age wise...
Still, my wife still does not know how to even handle a seed etc. My kids are too young. When they are adult, each one will be given the seed to a wallet with a single bitcoin, if everything works out as planned. I also thought about asking a notary about that problem, tomorrow, when i have to go there because of some other reason.

Long interesting thread. It's all coming together.

Problem is, we most probably won't cash out when it reaches $100k. Hardened by the previous cycle, we'll stoically watch our corn plummet to only $30k, upon which time it will be declared dead, weak hands will sell, some of us will get wrenched, the rest of us will HoDL (because we're HoDLers) until 2026 when it reaches $1M. We might sell some at that time...

well many of us hodled through $20k without blinking an eye so you cant really call us "weak hands" but ill tell ya at $100k im sure i would sell something.

and 1 million. surely i would break down and sell a bit more.

edit: assuming a loaf of bread doesnt cost $200k etc

It was easy to hold through, since it was not life-changing money for most of us.

Next time will be different, for sure.

Sad to see Trace chuck his reputation over a shitcoin. Maybe the rumours of him being btc-broke were true.

It's a serious concern that many long term bitcoin hodlers and influencers were tricked to sell their bitcoins expecting to buy them back for profit at lower price. One must investigate and trace out where this command/advice from a pseudo authority with disastrous consequences came from?

How to Protect Bitcoin for Your Heirs With the Push of a ‘Dead Man’s Button’

Quote
If the button isn't pressed one week, it is assumed the bitcoin user is dead or incapacitated and it's time for the bitcoin to be passed on, at which point the service automatically dispenses a "secret," which can be used to retrieve the crypto.

https://www.coindesk.com/how-to-protect-bitcoin-for-your-heirs-with-the-push-of-a-dead-mans-button

Here they are talking about LN, but it's okay to think about these things. (it doesn't have to be LN.)

Don't cheap out with this. Go set up your will with a lawyer that specializes in this. Make sure all your accounts and the information needed to access them is setup ahead of time for your heirs. Choose your estate executor. Update as needed every few years. This is important stuff if you have a family or otherwise want to disburse your assets after you die. Nothing is as soul draining as when already suffering from loss to then have to spend your time you should be grieving instead messing with lawyers and gov't types and unscrupulous relatives because your loved one failed to plan ahead. Ask me how I know this.

Here's btctalk thread about a dead man's button system, still in alpha though.
This is one of the few topics I'm always interested in.

2 bad years at 4 year intervals. Possibly halving related? If the pattern holds then the next bad year is still 2 years away.

365*2 = 730 Days ---- Enough time to cash some profits if we reach magic numbers with in 600 days----

I am selling some % at 100k range as i am planning kid and then i might get married in couple of years, hopefully in correct order  Grin

Joke aside, It depends on the individuals and what their lifestyle or goal is. I am speaking for myself (Shout out to @jojo  Tongue ) I am salaried person and big percentage of my salary comes in BTC. In the last 2 years i only cashed out like 3 times so i gotta cash out some at 60k-100k (Will try to hit few goals by following JJG's guidelines with some tweaks) just for my peace of mind as i don't want to regret anything, my soul is too young for any regret  Smiley. Already mentioned few times so some might remember that i entered very late (China fud -2017) in this game and luckily sold the top during the last bull run so i am in accumulating mode religiously since then.

Already bought back everything last year

I am selling some % at 100k range.....

I will be selling possibly half on the way from $50,000 to $100,000. I might even keep a large chunk of fiat in preparation for the next horrible bear market so I can buy back what I sold at a much cheaper level.

One thing is for sure though I’m taking big, life changing money out this time. I’m nearly mid 30’s, I’ve got plans & I can’t sit on my hands & do nothing like the last bull run.
