Ordinals had a massive shift in incentives toward miners, who profited from the elevated fees associated with latest blocks.
Network nodes, on the contrary, suffered all the costs of an heavier blockchain, trough heavier blocks and obvious consequences in terms of hardware requirements and bandwidth usage.

The difficulty has exploded since adjustment: still too early to have a reliable extimate, but we currrnrlty are + 17% forecast, being 8 blocks ahead after 22 blocks in the new epoch:

Bitcoiners will run from stuff like this but I’m certain there are people out there who will utilize these types of options to buy BTC since they weren’t comfortable having to be responsible for their own funds.

In other news… Markets including Bitcoin seemed to cheer on the news that Joe Biden says the US will be able to continue taking on more debt.

I doubt there will ever be a US president, UK prime minister or EU leader who will seriously say "look we can't pay our bills, it's gotten completely out of control.  We can't even afford the ridiculous interest on our debt, so we have to massively tighten handouts and reduce the size of the state as a result."

But, eventually, a decision will be made for these people, there is no other way.

Unless of course they keep inflation in the 5-10% territory. 

Depends what they do with the money. The US spends it on a gigantic military basically, so who is going to come for a complaint if they stop paying ?

I own a ledger and I know it's crap, knew it when I wouldn't use it for a while and it wouldn't let me access it without downloading an update. What if there was an issue with installing the update and I wanted to access my coins right away? When I bought a hardware wallet I thought it would be plug and play, where I can use it with any computer and any system at any time. What I got was a limited hardware that requires fully updated ledger live to work.

It is crap, but now I only use it to hold crap (ETH).
