I really had these prices in mind for spring.  And part of me thought that might ambitious.  Yowza.

whats kinda funny? is the way difficulty is going up vs the price of like $240....it may be apples to apples for price vs difficulty no difference

then 2 weeks ago! Double price just to 'tread water'  on same USD mining amount per day is 'interesting' to say the least!

Probably not that dire...but weird times indeed!

Wild times

If you're mining and holding, you're not losing anything day-to-day, but your past savings just went through the roof (again, for the old-timers).  Everyone's mining and holding, right?

Still, after the double whammy that was nicehack and BCCexit, this is a nice reprieve.  I don't know if it will last, but I won't lie, I was starting wring my hands a little imagining future direction.  Staying on course wouldn't be so bad, and of course, we're well past $240 now.  Even if we correct down now, I think the floor for the correction has gotten a lot higher.

You can point your rigs where ever using their interface, while no one rents, you mine normally.  Their interface is kind of nice if you're trying different pools.  You can move one pool up to the top spot without having to piecemeal move address/name/pw fields.  Wish the l3+ interface were like that.

Depends, you can set your own price. The price I have set now, I make ~40%-60% more than prohashing. If nobody rents they have a system so it automatically mines other backup pools that you set. If you set your price right though, there will be the demand for it to almost always be rented.

Do you constantly update the rental price yourself or do you let the "market" determine the price? I used them previously but it seemed that I would my miners would get rented right before a spike in prices.

You can have them set the price automatically so it changes for you, or you can set it to a static number and change it as you feel the need. Even if you undercut the cheapest guy on there, you're still making far more than any pool could ever make you.

In this hard market situation I have two L3+ and also one BW-L21 available for sale, shipping right now. See my signature for more.

I'll come and remove this offtopic post after sales, just thought that this might be helpful info for someone looking for miner.

heh...damn hard to charge 40 LTC for them like they did in ..what was it Sept 2017?

40 LTC 2.08 USD (time: as I type this) = $12,083.20 for THREE of them that would be 120 LTC

for $36,249.60 lol Smiley

oops!

damn, who'd a thunk it?

this gonna be damn hard for me to get motivated to buy more asic equip of any flavor.....when I run down my ROI'd stuff into doorstops

the old crypto to miners bet I've won at the past 4 years...is not gonna cut it anymore!

which does not look likely into, well into, 2019

if they don't brick themselves before then that is!

Did anyone purchase the December 11th-20th batch of L3s from Bitmain and have them ship already? (To USA)

Trying to see if Bitmain is pulling shenanigans now that the price has jumped up OR if I’m just later in the batch.

I just received my December batch L3+ today and when I opened it and took out the miner, if I turn it upside down, I hear something moving around inside. This can't be good, right? I will test more shortly once I get home from work.

Just had one board go all xs, restarts didn't help.  Contacted Bitmain support, as I read you can't take a board out without their permission to keep warranty.  Last time I contacted them, they didn't get back to me for like a week or longer.

At least it's modular and I'm not losing a whole miner.  If that's my only snag, I'm probably lucky.  If anyone else has done this before and has any helpful advice you'd wish you'd known from the start, I'd be very grateful.

The sound is your hashboards. They do make a rattle noise. I wouldn't jostle them around too much like turning them "upside down". You may knock a Heat Sync off.

You only live once....if you do it right, once is enough.
